That’d be a full quiver venue for me. 8/6/4.5/3.5

Awesome. Thank you! What would be your go-to spot for a novice+ around St Petersburg? I have heard that the Sunshine Skyway beach has reasonable wall-of-shame potential.

Breeze is all over. The Seabreeze happens, but it’s a strange topo and water setup with the bay behind. SW can be amazing hss as LF mile away while you’re dead. The weather systems can wreck a week, or provide great riding. I don’t have much for locales - I’m there for coaching/sailboat racing - so tend to ride where I’m staying or regatta location. Have wheels and follow the crowd!

Cool, thank you!

Call Brit at North Beach windsurfing if you’re stuck!

I have 4 meter and 5 meter wings. I am a 175 pound novice. I can foil on port tack, but I'm on my knees for starboard tack. I hear that I need a bigger wing for riding near St. Pete. Do I need a 6 meter wing? Or bigger? Or a 5.7 meter Ozone that's on sale?!

Adventurous-Group-14

5m should work most days

gobsthemesong

Hey, thank you, I have a 5 meter, so that makes me happy. I might get a 6 meter just in case. Someone said I should go to Sunshine Skyway as a good novice spot with a easy-ish walk of shame. Do you have any recommendations for other areas? I can foil on port tack, but I'm on my knees for starboard tack.

Hey There, Welcome to Florida! Don't move here - Sincerely The Locals. jk You'll get a mix of conditions during the late Florida Winter/Early Spring. Bring multiple sizes if you can! If I had to pick one wing it would be a 6 M (I'm 210 lbs) so for most I'd say go for 5M. Breeze is really weather driven here so it's all over the place. What the other said here is true - if you're not sure stop by or call North Beach Windsurfing. Good locals.
