For what was meant to be the finale to a great book series, it was just kinda bland, it wasn't a bad book but it just felt like a lore dump book like the previous one. Not necessarily a bad thing, but for the end of the series, a bit sub-par. It was why so many people wanted an arc 4.
Because it was a massive shift from what we were used to and villains that we were suddenly introduced to with little to no buildup alongside a pretty bad reveal for what the scorching was. >!you name your modern calendar after some scavengers stole some eggs and were beaten up for it? Why is that so significant?!< alongside there being much more focus on humans than before. The general consensus seems to be that people like the book because it's dragons. Not that it's dragons and humans, just dragons. So having humans become more significant especially with the current stuff we have, is a cause for concern.
Well not only that but all of us were expecting a big confrontation between Wasp and Luna but instead we get... >!a boring buildup to a confrontation between Luna and a human with a hatchling who should have been devoid of all emotion but instead is angry at the world. We then find out that Wasp herself is being controlled by said human and it just feels so wrong.!<
Yeah, like really? And Wasp is just missing at the end of this, she's not even killed for Oh idk, controlling the entire tribe for decades and abusing every single one to an extent
I don't know what Tui was thinking tbh. I was 'when are we going to get to a buildup?' most of the book and was very disappointed that Pineapple was the one to poison her and not Luna using her sunsilk on Wasp.
Also I'm pretty sure the end to the breath of evil is extremely anticlimactic, >!Freedom just says to pull the plant out from her head and suddenly the mind control is all gone and she just suddenly dies!<
I don't mind Peacemaker as people saying that he'd willingly eat the strawberry don't understand that he's too egotistical to do that. But it could have been handled better. Arc 3 certainly needs a change. Don't have Freedom and Cottonmouth, if they have to be included, they can be part of some sort of heart for the breath of evil, basically being part of a large organism for the plant that's the source of where it gets the mind control ability. Wasp should have stayed as the main villain, her being sidelined for the breath of evil should have instead been that she learnt what it could do and began to experiment with it. Practically the boe should just be a plant and nothing more complicated

I never liked the whole "fate worse than death" thing they pulled on Darkstalker at the end of book ten anyway.
Now imagine if the alternate ending is a complete plot twist, Qibli says yes, Darkstalker makes him an animus, and they have a massive time leap into the future, like 50 years+, then Qibli finds one of his old earrings, having some nostalgia he innocently puts them on, since I’m assuming Darkstalker would make him forget he was evil, and anything Qibli did to try and stop him, then since these earrings stop any spell darkstalker places, Qibli regains his normality, and since I’m assuming he’d make a back-up animus system, like say if he put darkstalkers animus given powers into a scroll, then told the scroll to give him animus powers, would it then count as a Darkstalker spell? Whatever the case, Qibli is still an animus in this timeline, so he does something an animus never tried, he goes back in time, to exactly 2,050 years in the past, and makes Darkstalker’s egg never hatch, allowing Whiteout to be born, which keeps Sunny alive, and ensuring Whiteout never gets animus powers, of course, he makes himself immune to any timeline disruptions, but Darkstalker? Never existed. He goes back to when he originally said yes, to a very confused Qibli, who is at Jade Mountain since none of this would’ve happened, and makes him an animus, making sure he doesn’t turn evil as he figures out animus powers don’t make you evil, it’s how you use them that does, FQ and Qibli both make this new world more peaceful, beautiful, and amazing then Darkstalker’s best future world, since Jerboa never got teleported, she never breaks animus magic, when the Lost Continent arrives to this one, they exist in a time of perfect harmony, with every tribe naturally happy and content, they easily either just use animus powers to immediately reverse every bad thing in the lost continent, or they easily decide to go together and stop the othermind, (haven’t watched book 15 yet since it’s been 3 WEEKS since I ordered it).
I don’t like this, it basically retcons the entire story to somewhat never happened, every event in ark 2 would be the same as a dream, and our main cast of characters would have no memory of it happening, darkstalker may just be the most important dragon to ever be born, removing him from the story means
The night wings never live on the island meaning they never made up the prophecy to take over the rainforest, this means no dragonets of destiny so they never made jade mountain academy and stop the war, it changes every aspect of the story
\*Slaps button with the force of a pro boxer\*
It's not stated how each ending changes, so arc 3 is just better (not sure in what ways, just better), and Moon ends up with Winter instead of Qibli, i have improved both arcs.

Both are horrible as fuck with abysmal writing and storytelling. I don’t see any reason why not, even if it means just deleting book 10 and 15 I would still be very happy

Didn’t say how different but the jade winglet randomly deciding to reverse their morals at the end isn’t the best

Ok I am genuinely confused why do y’all hate book 15

Both didn't make any sense, so in pressing itq

Yeah, I would. While I am neutral on the ending of arc 2, one of my IRL friends doesn't like it. I don't really know what they could've done better.
Nah, i'd press
Hey I'm satisfied with arc 3. Sorry button not pressing ya
I’m pressing the button because I want Darkstalker back
I'm not in love with how book 10 ended and book 15 just needs to be rewritten so easy choice. \*click\*
Yes. Ark 2 ending kinda felt contradictory
Is there a downside to this?

The ending was subpar and underbaked. The plot line needed at least either one more book or have book 14 not be filler
This is a lose-lose imo
No? Arc 3 wasn't that bad of an end imo
Ark 3’s ending was kinda weird, ngl
What’s the downside?

Me after seeing the 31293812938129898981982193213214th post about arc endings:
YES
Absolutely, both are bad, so, easy question.
Both are horrible as fuck with abysmal writing and storytelling. I don’t see any reason why not, even if it means just deleting book 10 and 15 I would still be very happy
