Paste wax may be a good solution. Try it on the inside of the doors if they are finished or other out of the way place to see if it is what you like.

Does paste wax soak into the wood? I was shooting for something that would soak In 😅 I read a little about BLO as well, but that yellows over time and I think danish oil is a little more user friendly

I have no idea, sorry. You wanted something to freshen up and that is what it does. I haven't used any for decades so I'm not an expert, sorry.

Oh thank you for the advice! I will look into it ☺️

Paste wax gives a nice finish. My dads finished his coffee table in it and I like the way it turns out. Gives sort of a satin finish and has seemed to hold up really well for daily use. I also use linseed oil on a lot of projects. It does penetrate, maybe get a few different small containers of various oils and test them in areas that aren’t visible. If you decide to go with something like a satin poly, unless you have experience with it, I’d hire a professional to come spray it.

Ohhhh I know better then to do anytning poly myself 😂 Yeah, I am really thinking danish oil will be the most forgiving- i had strongly considered linseed oil and it’s still not out of the question but danish has linseed in it if I remember correct so it’s the best of both worlds, kinda 😅

I haven’t used Danish oil personally, but it is certainly widely used. I’d say buy some, apply it to a back corner or something and see if you like. Oils like linseed are what I used for most projects, unless it’s something that might have food contact. I’m sure Danish oil will turn out great.
