On the more mundane side, the **Cascadian Rangers** are undoubtedly the best faction-specific "normal" special forces. Other states have their own, yet they tend to lack resources compared to the Commonwealth. On the less mundane side, **Anamalous Combat Section Alpha** (ACSA) is the **Paranormal Threat Response Agency's go-to formation of troops for any anti-paranormal operations. The ACSA is a roughly 80-100 man strong special forces detachment, trained and equipped specifically to deal with hostile paranormals, given some of the best equipment and training the Commonwealth can offer.

PenComfortable2150

What operations do the Cascadian Rangers normally perform? What equipment is used to deal with these paranormal activities?

For Temaria, there are the Republican Guard. They fill a role similar to the Royal guard, attending ceremonies and protecting the cenotaph, the House of the Republic and Aldhall. In wartime they also join the fray. Particularly loyal soldiers can join them. For Anert, the King’s own Mountaineers train the longest. Scouting, sniping, close quarters combat, artillery use and rudimentary engineering give them the skills necessary to defend the Kingdom’s borders.

Feeling-Attention664

The Minerva Group. Their name is an obscure mythological reference that was picked to obscure what they do. They are electrokinetics who have experience in mundane special forces. Their purpose is to launch EMP-like attacks against various facilities. They are also used in other situations where apparently weaponless personnel are useful. There is also an elite FBI unit dedicated to capturing criminal electrokinetics. The foundation of this unit caused fear, but also relief in the electrokinetic community. Before it was founded there were certain people in that community who acted as vigilantes. The FBI unit made private vigilantism both dangerous and unnecessary.

I don't have any names or designs for them. However, I like to imagine higher guards having fancy, but still functional armour and using halberds and rifles. As for the other forces, I thought about it while watching the 2017 SWAT. Maybe full bullet resistant armour in the style of medieval or classical higher soldiers but still nimble enough to operate inside tight spaces. Imagine a chase like in SWAT but it's with plate and running through a house designed like in an older city and running through stone streets with trams, people and horse carriages going through while only few cars are used, including mostly limited to groups like said soldiers and possibly any criminals. For endimiya they have a few Special Operation Force: the most elite soldiers in the Endimiyan Matriarchy. Made up of squads of human soldiers who have been genetically enhanced to be faster, stronger and more persistent soldiers and given advanced magic powered powered armor. These soldiers are sent on the most sensitive missions behind enemy lines. Royal Guard Corps: made up of entirely young noble women the Royal Guards are responsible for protecting the capital and the Royal family. The Royal guard is made up of 5 divisions, 1 armored, 1 mechanized, 1 air assault and two light infantry divisions along with three wings of fighter jets. The Royal guards are a well trained and equipped force. In times of war Royal guard units are sent to the frontlines to gain combat experience so each member is a battle hardened veteran. Highlanders: elite light infantry given exosuits and deployed via helicopters. These troops are assigned to act as force multipliers on the frontline and spearhead assaults. Marine Raiders: specialize CQB operators and recon specialists. Even though they're not given any exotic technology they are still quite well equipped and trained force. Orc Empire GRU: elite special forces units assigned to operate behind enemy lines and assassinate enemy commanders. The GRU are given the best equipment the Orc Imperial Army is able to field the GRU are renown for their toughness and endurance VDV: The Orc Airborne Forces; elite light infantry formations who are usually backed up by air dropped light tanks like the BMD4. Given how in the modern day paratrooper attacks are extremely risky most VDV units are deployed by helicopter or act as light infantry. Crimson Orchestra: or more commonly called the Musicians. The Crimson Orchestra is an elite private army under the command of Det'Rugark Var Urgarv a brutal and cunning former GRU operative and half orc the Crimson Orchestra started its life as a deniable force of mercenaries assigned to guard the Orc Empire's interests in other realms; the current war in Mabiel saw the expansion of the Crimson Orchestra into a full scale army as Urgarv was given permission to clean out orc prisons and use convicts as cannon fodder on the frontlines. The Crimson Orchestra is made up of two main groups the convict cannon fodder used in meat wave assaults and its elite operatives who follow up these meat waves and attack discovered weak points. The Crimson Orchestra uniquely isn't made up of only orcs but also Fethran as a floke of Fethran and their sky ship have pledged their loyalty to Urgarv and act as elite specialists for his private army.

The Overwatch Defensive Alternatives Corporation (O-DAC) are the main defensive forces of Mars. They’re called to deal with mining platform raids from Titan extremists, and are wholly funded by the Coalition of Colonies (the space branch of the UN) as well as several private shareholders. They’re usually at odds with the Bounty Hunters Association, who believe that their purpose is to make bounty hunting obsolete within the greater parts of the solar system.

Ryon’s Jabberwocks. The Order Of Ryon is a pretty militaristic faction as is, but the Jabberwocks in particular are his strong right arm. Clad in heavy armor and wielding secretive, devastating weapons of war (like a weather control machine, for instance) they are sent out by Ryon himself for only the most important jobs. The Jabberwocks themselves are mysteries, never showing their faces, never speaking, and their entire existence being centered around their service. It’s as if they’re simply living personifications of Ryon’s will. They’re practically the boogeyman of other factions, with the destruction they leave behind being their calling card. When they hit an area, it’s like a natural disaster.

The Rohas First and Foremost Though, they are much better known by their nickname; the Philotimo Though, do not let the name fool you. They are an elite, all-tiefling infantry force drilled in urban, guerilla, and asymmetrical warfare, with specialized armor who's helmets just add to the uncanny valley factor that their entire attire is designed around

For the Kingdom of Erikland, I’d mostly like say the Phoenix Brigade. It is a special forces brigade in the Erikian Royal Army. It gets its name from the fact that just like the Phoenix, the unit and its members never truly die. Also, all members of the unit have been awarded the Royal Order of the Phoenix. The Erikian Royal Navy has Special Naval Detachment Nine as their special forces unit. The Empire of Simonistan is not as proficient in the field of Special Forces as Simonistani doctrine has always valued both mechanized and infantry heavy units.

In the facton The Monarch Earth they have a group of soldier known as the FRE (fast responce exicutible) soldier, this force arent the strongest but they are increadibly fast, smart and have increadible aim, they are usualy the first responce to dangerous tasks while more powerful units are in transit to the site. They usualy wear light armour, energy shields cover their head and torso. The program began in the year 2979 after the first candidate (andrews 23) finnished his augmentations and proved that the program was possible, the program was so successful it still continues 8 years later in 2987 and doesnt show any signs of ending any time soon

Each kingdom of each civilization in each region has one ig. But there are two very powerful independent organisations, one called Infernal Slayers or Aegis, specialized in hunting down Infernals from the Downworld And then there's the Harvest Guild, who has various factions, each very much elite in its department. The Veilweavers are experts at counter intelligence/spying, Coinwardens control the economic flux of kingdoms throughout the continent, Enlighteners specialize in magic and technology studying, retrieving artifacts and controlling all new advancements, Scythes are the guild's military arm, Silvertongues are covert diplomats and control the higher social classes, while Echoes handle the more general public by controlling social trends and activism waves, Lorekeepers influence and record histories, prophecies and all that, and finally, Sentinels are the most elite assassins, who can also work as bodyguards to protect the guild's assets. These factions are coordinated by the Enclave, the biggest faction that handles directives, keeps the guild secret and builds and protects bases of operations

PenComfortable2150

My irradiated fallout brain sparked when hearing Enclave, but jokes aside these all seem very thought out :3

During the Nithlúfian civil war, each side had several dedicated special mission units to combat each other. Some context, Nithlúfia was part of a long and bloody rebellion against a vast Empire called Bratava. Eventually, a treaty was struck and accepted between them and Nithlúfia became an independent kingdom, with certain stipulations. A schism arose within the kingdom over certain terms of the treaty with the Empire until a full scale conflict broke out. The Royalists (Pro-Treaty) are led by the Queen and have access to Imperial resources to protect the interests of the treaty and destroy the rebellion. The Rebels (Anti-Treaty) fight for true independence and the removal of any imperial influence. They are mostly made up of Guerrilla fighters and magical beings and creatures who were marginalized under the Empire. Now for the actual special forces. The Royalists have the *Lámha Órga* (translated into Bratavan Standard as “GoldBlades”). They are premier Spellblade cavalry who rode giant Hawks into battle. They specialize in both conventional and magical warfare and have a unique magical art they are trained in. Rebels have the *Crògan* (Bratavan Standard: “Claws”). The Units full name is “Claws that strike in the Night” but mostly everyone refers to the as Claws. As their name might imply, they perform espionage and sabotage. They rely on stealth, speed, and unconventional warfare techniques to perform special reconnaissance, POW rescue, PSYOP campaigns and nighttime ambushes.

The Lurnish Army Commandos are the premier Lurnish military special forces unit skilled in aerial assault and airborne operations as well as trained to fight behind enemy lines with limited supplies and resources. Commandos are typically recruited from other units within the Lurnish Republican Army and see some of the most action being deployed around the world both in combat operations as well as in training missions of local forces. As of recently the Lurnish Army Commandos have been seeing action in Gaveijas fighting against Tallian separatists forces and instructing Gaveijan forces

Conventional forces: Manus dei: translating literally to hand of god, they are the "inspectors" of the armed forces, and act as a secret police within the country. Due to the betrayal of the previous secret police Organisation, they are gaslighted into having a constant sense of guilt for everything they do Unconventional: Dux: an Organisation of the 8 most powerful (magically) people in the country. They don't really do anything together and their organisation only exists on paper.

The special forces of The Cult, is the specific group of Ascended ones, their mutations and spore manipulating skills are made for the slaughter way of combat, they often combine both le shroom magic and conventional weaponry, its not really the force, but a hobby some of them decided to do for the good of the fungus Ctulhu, they are shape shifting as kids most of the time, because in my world its weird to see an adult person which isnt either working in giant factories or being meatshield on the battlefield

The Mages are the Hunter’s best soldiers. The Hunters being the unofficial name of the British Inter-Dimensional and Magic Affairs Agency, aka the people that know about magic and the inter dimensional aspects of the world, which are kept hidden from the general public. All Hunters know magic but the Mages are truly masters of it and you know, it’s not that all Mages are that powerful but the fact that there is this team of about 200 people all well trained, making the British magical forces ones of the strongest in the world.

Wonderverse had the Ghost Operators in the prequel timeline (21st century). The Ghost Operators formed during the Cold War in 1981 when low-superpowered beings started appearing: A group of ordinary humans with completely advanced technology to combat low-level superhuman terrorist Threats. Their entire arc was focused on the terrorist threat called Entropy and its proxies: the Qubat at-Allah being the most powerful among them. The Qubat at-Allah had a spy who became Ghost Ultimatum (Supreme Leader) of the organization. He then wiped out the organization from the inside, though Qubat at-Allah went down with the Ghost Operators. March of Empires had the Punisher Corps, an Elite task force military devoted to work for Punisher Inc Ltd, the last corporation not nationalized by the Empire. They "bought" convincted criminals and enforced Their punishment as brutally as possible, operating under the motto: "The Jails are never full." The Punisher Corps were over and above the private army and armada of the corporation. They were the direct extension of the Corporation's will. They had over 25 legions, most important being the Dead Sun, the Tyrant Quasar, the Gothic Garrison, the Black Legion, the Spire Legion, the Red Wolves, and the Feral Warriors. Two legions were destroyed before the Imperial-Corporate War, while seventeen legions were destroyed in the War, and the other six were captured as POWs and executed after the war. They caused countless War crimes, including brutally torturing and murdering innocents, looting and rape, murder of POWs, use of WMDs, attacks on civilians, and a literal Holocaust.

Most of the kingdoms in my world don't have much in the way of standing armies, but many lords do have a few personal champions that either showed great promise or where chosen because of their extreme loyalty to their lord. A lord's group of champions might also contain some people who own special Pilgrim's Sigils that grant them some bonuses on combat, like increased strength or something more unique like the ability to tame monsters and direct them in combat.

Kaiju Group, NAMSOF, and Dingo 6, to name a few. NAMSOF, or Naval and Marines Special Operations Forces are from Armament. They are a sub-branch of the Armament Navy, a U.S. Faction. Kaiju Group are the Jack of all trades in the Japanese Assault Force's branches. Dingo 6 is a PMC group formed by Ausmen, an Australian military faction. They cause a lot of chaos in my world.

The Horned Riders: A group of women who fight on the backs of unicorns for the Kigdom of Tasan. Unfortunately, it is not a voluntary unit and soldiers are trained from the moment they bond with a unicorn (usually from a young age). Initially sent to an equestrian school to learn how to properly ride and deeper their bonds with their unicorns, around the age of 14-15, they are sent to an actual training program that lasts a year and a half, culminating in them receiving their distinctive helms and pauldrons (with their horse receiving a tack set, including a blinker with a hole for the horn)

The Agency, or rather the Human/Paranatural Mediation, Arbitration, & Enforcement Agency. Responsible for maintaining peace, order, & justice between Humans & Paranaturals. The field agents can be broken down into two subgroups: 1. Special Investigations Service. Pretty much what it says on the tin. SIS are the "mediation & arbitration" people. Whenever there is a conflict between humans & the paranatural, these are the people doing the talking, searching, negotiating, specialist acquisition, whatever, etc. This also includes magical specialists. Think FBI, but competent & people actually like having them around. Notable members include: Agents James Darcy & Allison Brenner, Director McCoy, Necromancer Hans Brackhaus, & Oracle Madeline Quinn. 2. High Threat Response (aka the "Wild Hunt" by detractors). The "enforcement" guys. These are the people who show up when things are about to, or have already gone to, hell in a handbasket. These are the ones that show up to an interdimensional portal kitted out & loaded for Devil Bear, Demonic Dolphin, Celestial Walrus, or Fae Pineapple. These are also the people running security for the Incarnation of Entropy in the Himalayas. They are the ones that will put down a problem & make sure it stays down. Notable members include: Colonel Samuel Fox, Lieutenant Iris Culver, & Sergeant Thomas Major.

*247th Mage Assault Regiment.* Reichslegion, Karlovski-Hesser Kaiserreich The Imperial Legion is the elite mage corps of the Imperium of Karlov-Hess's armed forces, separate from the Imperial Army (Reichsheer) and takes orders directly from the Kaiser/in. After the Liberation War, they were relegated into clandestine operations. The 247th was once a line regiment but was converted into a covert operations unit that deployed in foreign interventions. No patches, no dog tags, nothing. Not even their unit name was changed, done so that there is no paper trail. They come and go, with surgical acts of violence that only leaves one message – the Kaiser/in's blades can reach anywhere. *402nd Mage Infantry Regiment.* 4th Infantry Division, 1st Northern Army Corps. Republic of Verune Army. The Republic does not have a separate service branch for its mages. It instead integrates mage regiments among RVA divisions, battalions among brigades, and so on. The idea is that mage units can act as maneuver elements at the disposal of the parent units. Not entirely a 'spec ops force' as much as it is simply a formidable and skilled unit, the 402nd Mage Infantry 'Cazadores de Oeste' Regiment is a line regiment that is composed mostly of enlisted personnel from West Estacia and Verunian officers. It is one of the regiments formed after the accession of West Estacia into the Republic of Verune following its secession from the Kingdom of Estacia. After the outbreak of the Estacian Civil War, these new Republic citizens volunteered into service in the hopes of protecting the country they once called home. The 402nd has an unusually talented pool of mages and experienced combat leaders. They are able to perform rapid maneuvers and precise assaults much faster than most of the regular forces. They might be infantry by name, but they fit the description of a sort of foot-mobile cavalry unit. Needless to say, any enemy fortification wouldn't last very long once these guys are on the field.

CYCNOS777

(medieval world) I have two: The 3rd division of Cycnosia. The first 2 division being the army and the navy, they are the soldier of the shadows. They are called when the main army is not allowed to intervine (eliminate foreign rulers, free hostages, attack a neutral country) They are extremely feared and very loyal to their king, who is only one giving them orders. The black knives They use to be a freedom fighter group, defending Egry against the Darios empire. They were known for their extrem violence and would never surrender. They slaughtered hundreds of unarmed men in there sleep and ambushed the enemies. The war was eventually lost and their queen slith her own throat so she wouldn't be taken alive.

Musketeers and Dragoons are competing choc troopers of the realm of Tarascony. Musketeers are chosen among the finest of the nobiity while Dragoons comes from the people's army. Both corps are highly efficient and can bring a lot of firepower somewhere, quickly. Both employ magic user and usually deploy in squads of 12-15 riders. Depending on times they can either be tasked to intercept ennemy troops pillaging the countryside or to dispatch monsters the local authorities cannot handle. A sub corp specialize into moving artillery fast to firing positions which have been proven effective in both types of mission. The damned battalion is the most powerfull tool of the Carolinian empire. It is made of nobles who have failed their obligations, they curse themselves to gain superhuman strenght but burn through their lifespan. If they redeem themselves by their deeds, the empress, and only her, may lift the curse and allow them to get back their titles and old life. Under the curse, they live up to a maximum of 5 years. This battalion have at all times around 200 members who're highly motivated and above most mortals. Another empire's elite guard, around a hundred individuals, is made of the ghosts of its finest servants animating purpose made armors. Though they are dedicated to the palace security, they have been employed for some other purposes at times. There is no known way to destroy a ghost kept in the mortal realm through the procees that keeps them there. Making for an almost unstopable force. Aknaw, the richest city state in the world, do not uses a regular army but semi-sentient ceramic golems. There is not a lot of them and they rarely leave the city but so far, none have been destroyed and only a few ever suffered any real damage. Though they never faced artillery either.

There's a very large mercenary group collectively known as the gaff It consists of the wyvern regiment, the largest and well kitted out combat unit with tons of combat experience on both normal battlefields and the vortex Lions battalion, designed to operate in smaller groups normally being hired as bodyguards and close protection units but most members are recruited from the wyvern regiment . Of the Draconic Kings some of the most elite troops typically going to be the Daal-Usa, which would translate literally as sleep protectors, and the Til-Ug, which could be best translated as Kill Finishers. Daal-Usa are generally going to be elite dragon blooded nobles and kobolds, often older veteran warriors picked for their reliability as well as skill in battle, often magically charmed to make them less likely to betray their master and very well paid. The dragonblooded nobles will typically be armed as heavy infantry with extensive bronze armour or relic plate, along with melee weapons and possibly a few casters thrown in. The kobolds may be more lightl armoured to provide some skirmisher support. Although as a dragon grows over the decades and centuries they are increasingly formidable awake they will often spend longer periods sleeping ever more deeply, if forced to wake suddenly it will take longer and they will be slower of mind and body for longer and more thoroughly. Therefore whether its a dragon from outside the city or one of the handful of subordinate dragons(often their children) the most powerful dragons might command this is the perfect time to try storm the palace and kill the monarch. The Daal-Usa therefore have the job of being as unbribable and loyal as possible and best able to give ground slowly as possible against attacks be they other mortal warriors or a dragon. Ideally weakening the attacker and giving their monarch as much time as possible to fully wake up and be ready to kill the attack/attackers. It doesn't always work of course, sometimes if the outer palace guards are subverted and a rival and/or their followers successfully breaks through the Daal-Usa and kills the monarch before they have time to wake fully. The Til-Ug are the more offensive type of squad, when the draconic city states go to war with each other their high lords often clash in the skies over the battlefield where their mortal forces skirmish with each other. Dragons are of course tough buggers but a common way that they get taken down in a one on one is for one of the dragons to successfully damage a wing enough to take their opponent out of the skies. The Til-Ug are then tasked with running down this downed dragon and killing them before their allies can move into protect them and potentially begin using healing magic on them. As these troops often include less well armoured infantry designed to move fast and hit hard they often open their numbers to both young dragonblooded nobles and the subject species of the Draconic city states like humans, making this a high risk but highly prestigious role for an ambitious human looking to achieve higher status. They often go relatively lightly armoured, with chariots and carts to lead them closer to the target but dismounting and sprinting the last distance on foot, recruits selected for bravery and speed, including weapons like long two handed spears and two handed axes to try try find the gaps in an injured dragon's defences and kill them.

The 353rd Gronian Imperial legion began as a normal clone infantry legion until clone 353-13579 entered the Trial of Ascension (basically a massive tournament to decide who would become the next Emperor and also his or her potential heirs.). 353-13579 was one of the final 10 to be the potential heirs and was granted the title of Prince. Upon being made Prince he chose the name Khorak for himself. The new Princes are also given the rank of Legate and given command of their own battleship and any legion they want. Prince Khorak chose his own legion and over the next century reformed it from a standard infantry legion to covert warfare specialists where the 353rd earned the nickname the Ghost Legion. The Ghost Legion would operate well ahead of an invasion force and through infiltration, sabotage, assassination, and misdirection would heavily weaken any defenses before the main invasion force arrived. During the Gronian Empires second invasion of Hell, the Ghost Legion was responsible for the removal of several powerful demon commanders of Hells armies, one such demon is now bound within Prince Khorak 's own sword.

The dominant religion of Ah RaHuuk is Gilyenism that believes the gods that created the world are malicious and cruel, and that the world will end in a war between mortals and gods. This has spurred a culture centred around the ideas of war and peace, with a strong emphasis on discipline and purpose. To the far east in the country of Min Kahg Fegk is the red temple that was created in honour of the fifth saint Kureno Akagor which has acted as the military for the UKAR. Civil Wars between the Government of the UKAR and the Red Temple aside, it hosts their most elite soldiers known as the War Phantoms. During the first and second scourge eras they were tactically deployed Guerilla fighters that were sent to undermine enemy advancements with just a squad of 6 or 7 being thrown in deep into enemy territory. By the third scourge their operations involved more espionage and attempts at world policing. They get accused a lot for getting involved with foreign wars which they have no business being in. The training for exams is a lengthy 5 year process, with having a prestigious military career in the UKAR national military, the Mujen royal guard (a nation outside the UKAR that they have a long standing alliance with) and the Red Temple itself can get you recommended for training. The approval process is strict, during the third scourge only 6 out of 100 candidates are accepted.

For the Kingdom of Tamaire. For special forces, that is the Royal Rangers, 2nd and 3rd sons of royal foresters and huntsmen; they’ll need to be able to move unseen and track through most terrain, live of the land, and be skilled with a range of weapons, particular the longbow, hunting sword and spear. They’re used to Hunt and kill succesful bands of outlaws, cause havoc in regions about to be invaded, or just plausable denielablity in hostile lands. In battle they’re used as skirmishers, reaping a hellish toll on enemy skirmishers and keeping enemy infantry heads down. The Royal Guard is the 2nd/3rd sons of burghers and free peasants, who have shown their valour in combat, and is sworn directly to the King/Prince they serve, they’ll swear to have no family before they retiré. They’re getting better pay, food, equipment they regular royale forces, but are expected to break the enemy line or make a last stand if the army is falling back, either in good order to save it if it starts to rout. The secret service is the Blues and Whites, Blues for their Dark blue surcoats, and White of the limewashed Chateau De Haine, where suspected traitors are brought to be interrogated, and convicted traitors are crucified on the Boulevard of Perdition, and their families are thrown into oubliettes, never to see the light of day again. Their recruits are those who’re maybe a bit to good at dice, noticing things that other might miss and those royal soldiers who are a bit to vicious for their comrades. They have neither the numbers nor skills to be considered particular useful in combat.

The Guard Rifles Regiment of the Lalian Army, mostly known as "Ghost Commandos", is the top tier special forces unit of the military of the Caylerian Union and considered to be the best in the entire known galaxy. The regiment consists of a competence center for training new recruits and developing new tactics, two operational battalions and a reserve battalion. The combat strenght is secret, but lays at around one thousand. The soldiers have access to the newest weapons and gear and can modify them individually. Their motto is "come for victory". The regiment is in permanent readiness for operations and the soldiers must pass a daily test in which they run through a long obstacle course with full combat gear within 10 minutes maximum and after that fire 1.000 shots with rifle/ pistol at once. They must not miss two times successively and not more than 9 in total. Getting accepted and the training to become a commando are extremely hard and deaths during training missions do not happen rarely. Missions of the Ghost Commandos are kept secret and only small amount of informations are released.

The Princesses Guard. During the rule of the first king of a kingdom I built his youngest daughter as a young girl (think 7 or 8) decided she wanted to be a soldier. So after bugging her dad enough, he assigned some war hero to give her and her friend's soldier training intending it to be a cushy assignment for his retirement. Nobody told him this so he trained the princess and her friends as hard as he could and most of them didn't shirk away from the training. Fast forward multiple years and the king starts giving them cushy assignments around the castle to keep his daughter happy. Fast forward a few more years and with a flawless record of getting assignments done without problem she demanded an actual assignment to prove that they weren't just decoration soldiers. So the king assigns them to escort the tax caravan as they've never had any problems with that anyway. What little bandits the area had heard that the tax caravan would be escorted by a group of noble daughters led by the princess and a 70-something-year-old war hero thought they had hit the jackpot. Even though they were outnumbered 7-to-1 their unit killed or captured all of the attacking bandits without significant injury to any of their numbers. Since then The Princesses Guard has been considered one of the most elite units in the kingdom. Their usual duties revolve around the protection of foreign dignitaries, and they are in charge of guarding the royal treasury.

The iduun basically have two different special forces for different uses. Neo troopers: basically being spartan 4s aee your average special force troops uplifted from pure born instead of the homunculus corps. Nova troopers: space marines but without the crazier bits added on and used for when you want someone specific dead or to start causing extreame amounts of terrorism, more like bio automata then a living being at that point.

Probably **Coursers**: superhuman warriors with a *Grove Specter*; a familiar that gives them magical powers fitting five different "flavors" (Armsmaster, Grenadier, Powerstriker, Stinger and Spellbinder). They control melee weapons, guns and projectiles, have superstrength and invulnerability, can summon and fire sharp throwing weaponry and can use elemental magic, respectively. They are divided into *Cartels* corresponding to each flavor. The Office of Goythia is the organization headed by the Cartel leaders, known as Overseers. The Office also oversees Syndicates; organizations composed of many Coursers in groups known as *Flights*, with a minimum membership of 6 per Flight and up to 17 Coursers. Syndicates are ruled by an Overboss, who represents the Syndicate before the Cartels. The Coursers mostly exist to fight criminals who have the power of an Specter, trade in unsanctioned Specters, which are in high demand, and also hunt down or "Course" Phantoms: unruly Specters that have lost their wielder, becoming aggressive and attacking people or whole townships and potentially turning victims into mindless zombies or leaving them as brain dead husks.

After their decisive contribution in the liberation of Soravia, Primarch Zarlakion decreed that the Confessioners will become the core of Soravia's standing army. Order of the Blood Drop: A secret society of knights sworn to service to the Church of Bogovid and it's leader. In Ardalesh, the Spoirecoixe are Merycia’s main elites, being an organization consisting of men, women or any others who live off of the land, hunt dangerous monsters, help protect the people and most importantly connect and speak with the spirits and demons of the land, sea and air. Spoirecoixe excel at guerilla tactics, are all talented in magic, can pass most anywhere without a trace and are some of the best at infiltration, taking out high value targets and disrupting logistics behind enemy lines. Skills that were instrumental in repelling the Middish colonization of Merycia and in the subsequent Merycian counterinvassion of the Midlands. Whilst they are not as well known as their beloved Minutemen cousins who guard the Merycian people from all that wish them harm and became so feared that respected with their use of firearms and small scale tactics that tactics and strategy had to change all across the world in response. The Sporecoixe are still well respected in Merycia as the supercontinent’s hidden lads and lasses that strike fear from the bushes and shadows.

Not exactly special forces. But I thought it would be funny for Gnomes to be employed to exterminate gremlin infestations And then It got really in depth, and I also realized how horrifying it would actually be (gremlins in my world are similar size to gnomes, less strong but faster and have claws and teeth, and reproduce at crazy rates if allowed to settle) Also gremlins will fully kill a normal sized person if they know they have the numbers. They’re mildly intelligent creatures.

Sentinels, the queens personal guards and police to the government. Think secret service type shit

The Seventeenth Corps, aka Memento Mori, is the revenue collection task force when citizens refuse to comply to taxation. Think of the IRS criminal investigation.

**The Corvalsi** (Raven people) have the *Shadow-Wings*, who are very good at doing thing quickly and quietly. Need some classified documents stolen from a military blacksite? Want the layout of enemy fortifications to make an assault easier? Or how about an enemy general assassinated in the heart of his base? They’ll and out in 10 minutes, with not one guard any the wiser. That said, if they end up getting caught, they’re kinda screwed. Think like a glass cannon. **The Barix** have their Full Cyber-Augment Conversion Warriors, (called “*Hornets*” by most). Hornets are very fast, very very fast, very very super-duper fast. Designed during “the Chokepoint War”, in which the Barix fought against a heavily armored and mechanized force, the Hornets are another glass cannon type, zooming around at ridiculous speeds, lobbing anti-tank grenades and firing off anti-tank missiles left and right, right up until they get grazed by a stray bullet, lose control, and crash into a tree while going several thousand mps. And last, but CERTAINLY not least, **Humanity** has the *Terminus Order*. The Order is split into a few branches, the Legion, the Guard, the Vanguard, the Core, the Wraiths, and the Executioners. The Terminus Legion is made up of those who do not pass the trials to join one of the other groups. Though they are basically just the leftovers, don’t underestimate them, because a single Terminus Legionnaire is still more than strong/skilled enough to kill a few dozen enemy soldiers at once. The Terminus Guard are the 2nd most elite warriors in the Order, and they are entrusted with the protection of important Human Imperial officials, namely the Emperor, the Warmaster, and the High-Castellan. That said, there are a handful of other notables who have, generally, between 1-6 Terminus Guardsmen assigned to them, because they are deemed as being worthy of that protection. The Terminus Vanguard is made up of squads of between 10-15 Vanguardsmen. Each squad is given a small ship, a blank check, and the authority of the Emperor himself. Their job is, essentially, to hunt down and deal with threats to the Human Imperium that the usual authorities are unable to deal with themselves. This can range from an inter-dimensional monster rampaging throughout a world, to a major crime lord who’s managed to secure enough resources to be a problem for the usual military to deal with. The Terminus Core is like the brain of the Order, it’s got all smartest folks sitting in a room, with massive cables sending data directly into their head at incomprehensible speeds, and then sending out orders to the rest of the Order just as quickly. The Terminus Wraiths are basically the human version of the Shadow-Wings. Very sneaky, very fast, and all the rest. Not nearly as good as the Shadow-Wings, mind you, but still better than your average person. The Terminus Executioners are the answer to the question of “How do we make sure the super powerful group with near limitless money and influence in our Empire doesn’t get any ideas and try to take control?”. Think of them like a super hardcore version of Internal Affairs or the HR department, just instead of yelling at or firing you if you screw up, they brutally murder you in front of everyone. There are only thirteen Executioners at any one time, and the only way to become a Termins Executioner is to kill one, essentially eat their memories, and then prove your loyalty by presenting yourself to a shard (a somewhat complicated and convoluted process that any interested and brave souls can ask about). They have their tongues cut out so they may never speak a lie and they blind themselves so their sight cannot deceive them, and then as they go on to serve, they carve murals dedicated to their achievements into their own flesh so they may never forget themselves. Unwaveringly loyal, strong enough to rip planets apart, and able to tank the power of the sun twice over, the Terminus Executioners are (proportionally) the strongest group in the galaxy, and a terrifying force to be reckoned with.

Less of a part of a standing army, more of a mercenary force, Black Lions are a wandering retinue of elite sellswords who sell their services by the company rather than individual. They are hired to bolster conventional forces organically or be used as independent units as a scout and raiding party Their force composition is reminiscent to that of the Dutch pike and shot gunpowder formations mixed together with the mobility of Napoleonic forces. This makes them quite a lethal force in the face of might and magic while maintaining superior strategic mobility compared to other standing armies. Their most notable involvements are during the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Defence of Rorikia, breakthrough at the Siege of Mirinia, Slaying of the Lupus Earthwyrm, and the Battle of Doldrum's Pass where they often won against overwhelming numbers through an equipment and mobility advantage.

Helvan's Armada are the best of the best a title only given to those truly worthy, some trained their entire lives to get to this point others after a great deed. They know several combat styles and can use a plethora of weapons to defend their kingdoms. Helvan in their religion is the God of wars, battle tactics, violence, and armies. Helvan became a God after outsmarting a dragon and trapping it. When they gain this title, they get a massive new home for themselves and anyone they wish to stay with them, servants to tend to their every need, and as expected plenty of wealth. Their weapons and armor are made to resemble dragons and have many chains on them.

The peoples revolution of the sovereignty has the Kansermund. They aren’t elite in the sense of their training, rather, they are absolute fanatics willing to die for the cause. These crazy motherfuckers are completely willing to blow themselves up, injure countless innocent people to kill one person. They will sneak into the centre of an enemy camp, stab the general infront of fucking everyone then blow their brains out with a flintlock pistol. They have even been recorded to have rammed a flaming boat headfirst into a port to kill a target. They are utter, batshit insane, daredevil fanatics with as much care for their own lives as a flys. To them their lives are not theirs but the revolutions, and the ultimate death is to die for the cause.

PenComfortable2150

They may not have the training but they certainly have Black Air Force Energy

Zestfullemur

Yea, they’re like Kamikaze pilots and that’s what inspired them. Fun fact, in another project called Sovereignty 2099 set in the same world but 400 years into the future their influence is still seen. During WW2, before the nukes dropped, the tactic of ramming your ship into an enemies was known as the Kansermund manoeuvre. And there is a type of unnamed suicide drone manufactured by Prennikisher industries known as the Kansermund. Even after 400 years these fanatics still left their mark.

The amaranth are a holy order of warriors that work alongside the governments of the world and the church of the amaranthine. The Amaranth are annoited as members after great feats are accomplished by them, feats that would lead the amaranthine to believe that they are divinely protected.

PenComfortable2150

Any examples of such feats?

Baronsamedi13

Theran Dreth, the current "leader" of the Amaranth survived for nearly two months on the island nation of Renmora. Renmora is quarantined due to its dangerous inhabitants and cursed lands with only those given permission by the church and the hunters guild leadership allowed to go there. During one particularly unlucky expedition Theran was left behind while the other survivors went to collect reinforcements and supplies for a new expedition. When they arrived back at Renmora they found Theran waiting for them on the shoreline, having built a small homestead for himself. He seemed to be in good health and actually refused to go back with the next ship saying "I haven't had this much excitement in years" as his reasoning.

the dreamers, made up of the most skilled/powerful pirates, rebels, and outlaws that were captured and subjected to a ritual that made them 100% obedient unthinking soldiers. the name dreamers comes from the fact that they are put to sleep by the ritual (so they cannot think for themselves) and they fight almost perfectly because they dream about nothing but fighting and thats what trains their body’s muscle memory to become perfect fighters (kinda like how ai is trained on trial and error to eventually become perfect at a task)
