a bit of background: 35 years, playing wow since 2006 non stop, my job is really stressful and i thought my peak was back in legion. i only got to 2,1k 2 times before this season with warrrior and aug, never cared to push more since i thought i would never be THAT good. After some ups and downs with my warrior i thought that i've always been good with hunter but never cared to try to push and this is the result.
Thanks to the people here who gave me advices and thanks too to the people on hunter's discord, they are the real MVP!
Sometimes it really is just about what class you’re feeling. Took me a few seasons to get 2.4 on monk, and then in one season I picked up lock and got 2.4 rss on 2 specs
Simply and perfectly said; i retturned to WoW midway through season 1 after more than a decade, and was hovering at around 1900 bc i didn't know anything about any class except devoker, like wtf a priest bubble and earthen was.
i made a lock and got 2.2k in about 4 days and 100 games
i was traveling abroad for s2 & s3 and returned the day before s4 started and
i was hovering at 2.3k on a devoker a month into this season and got 2.1k in \[literally\] a couple hours and more than that, it was literally the day after i hit 70 on a WW monk.
i didn't even use whirling dragon for half of those games, as i just imported the build lol.
Devoker is so so much fun and we all want to continue having fun but i had no idea what i was missing out on, so i've been exploring every class, as who knows, like you and i have both experienced, some are fun but a struggle, and others we had no idea not only the fun we were missing out on, but how well we could play the game.
Like, while i love devoker and knew we had the worst survivability in the game by a landslide, playing other classes made me realized truly how not only completely fucked up it is, but how easily fixed but blizzard chose not to, and while i have fun on the devoker, i prefer playing my affl lock and ww monk.
Man, i was just doing solo for fun, never tried pushing really, but seeing all these post makes me wanna try harder. I just gotta be a better rogue lol

Land traps = insta 2.4+, don’t land traps consistently; insta 2k still. —— for shuffle since shuff is the land of oooga boogas as far as DPS is concerned. Still see rets at 2.2+ on my alts who don’t press sanc ever, they’d rather press bubb and zugg than sanc their healer who’s stunned with CD’s about to eat a trap

Tbh my heart needs a break and want to try SV since in beta RN it looks better than mm or BM. But my head tells me that I have enough time to grind games to get legend so I guess I'll do both.
Healers play a huge difference there. Don't be afraid to use a freezing trap on one of the melee, unless your other dps is ignoring the fact that he can cc, tar trap always on CD. Play smart kitting them to LoS their healer forcing himself to move and that sometimes makes healers to make mistakes.
Kind of ridiculous you don't get gladiator rank or mount for hitting it in solo shuffle, It's arguably harder to do in solo shuffle than in trios , because you really don't have coordination. Maybe next season😑
I went from 0-2300 in 6 hours on my first day of Arena after not playing any form of PVP since first season of WoD. Arena is a joke and so is PVP because it is incredibly imbalanced. After I hit 2350 I lost 6 solo shuffles in a row because for some reason, my teammates kept griefing me and they were all 700 rated and I ended up losing 500 rating in under 2 hours of playing. WoW PVP is not what it was back in the day and Solo Shuffle is without a doubt the least balanced of all of them. You can just get screwed over intentionally by shit players who find it funny that they can make you lose and still win.
And perhaps you would be happier if you attempted to share in the joy of someone else’s achievement rather than trying to bring them down for something as trivial as a typo.
If someone’s happy for a thing, be happy for them. Don’t ruin the moment for something trivial.

Survival is hands down the most fun spec of the 3 as well, as much as i love the burst of MM.
