edit: as someone else pointed out this dance actually seems to be more directly based on the Just Dance performance of Rasputin (while certainly still inspired by Bobby Farrell), which was done by a frenchman. The earthen are truly multicultural.

I think that's why Blizzard mixed in at least one other ["inspiration"](https://www.reddit.com/r/wow/comments/1cd89mm/male_earthen_dance_the_war_within/l1bg1tc/). That way no one person can claim ownership over the exact performance (which I think was the trouble epic got into)
It got shelved because it would have been a ton of animation work - supposedly each dance would have been on par with animating a whole new creature, per one dev comment. Iām not sure if itād be more feasible nowadays since all playable races use the same skeleton (with different models, of course) but it still seems like itād be a lot of effort for something that isnāt actual content.

I think about this often. They'd sell like hotcakes. I'd buy dances. I'd buy this dance. Make them $5. Make appearance sets that match dances and sell them as bundles. It seems like a no brainer.
That's actually how FFXIV does it. There are a TON of emotes you can unlock in game. Some unlocked from seasonal events which have different rewards yearly, old ones are added to the online shop for cheap the next year. And more still are released directly to said online shop. The last ones vary in price a bit depending essentially on the complexity of the emote.

Really on any melee that doesn't have 2s+ downtime in their rotation. Which is none of them these days.Ā
But since it is, by the sound of it, a close range AoE... it'd conflict with the ranged part of ranged classes.Ā
So noone will be happy with that ability unless it deals unreasonable damage.Ā
There's also the healing part, of course. Same story! Perhaps in PvP, parking my warrior behind a pillar, for a little 1up. But even that would have to be quite overtuned to be worthwhile on such a long CD.
I am curious to see how the channeled racial works ! I do like the healing option ! So thatās what 3 racials that can heal right away 4 if you count cannibalize. I feel like itāll do more healing than the Vulpera bag of tricks heal but maybe the same amount as touch of the naru?

Many of the early allied races (dark iron dwarves, mag'har orcs, highmountain tauren, nightborne, void elves, lightforged draenei) don't have unique dances.

Draenei male dance is from Tunak Tunak Tun, a music video released in 1998. That's 26 years ago already. Probably before a large chunk of the playerbase was even born
Night Elf female dance is from J'en ai marre, which while from 2003, didn't become as big of a mainstream hit so the only ones who remember the original are us oldies.
Dwarf male? Bee Gees. Human female? The fucking Macarena. Remember that? That's a 1995 trend right there. It was already a decade old when WoW released
