You can recraft order at the same place you did the order.
To get the highest level, you need a specific crest made by enchanters called Enchanted Aspects Dreaming Crest, which uses a Nascent Aspects Dreaming Crest that you buy from the Enchanting Vendor for 60 Aspects Dreaming Crests. The crafter will have to proc rank 5 or you will have to pay, usually 5k, for them to use an insight and guarantee the rank 5.
Some items I charge more than others to craft. For example Main Stat gems and Lariat I have seen people charge 10k minimum for since they are in shorter supply. If you want me to craft anything needing the toxic table in brackenhide that is an immediate 15k charge + 5k insight because I hate going there to do it. The rest of craftable items are generally 5-8k for me though and I've had good success with these prices.
On my server people put recrafts or crafts for LW items using the altar of decay and tip like 200g. It astounds me - do they not know how much of a hassle it is to go craft that?
I pay 10k and put up a public order for the cauldron with all my mats and someone will always craft it - then I save myself 3 trips to brackenhide.
Then I still ignore the 200g tip orders for AoD items.
You have the understand the economics.
People don't craft for fun 16 hours a day. There are crafters who play to craft 16 hours a day, but they want to get paid gold to make it worth their time. This set of crafters will generally be the first people to message you, which is why you're seeing those prices.
Then there's the fact that Lariat is a BOE recipe. It'll be harder to find crafters for BOE recipes because the crafter generally has to buy it or farm it.
Lariat recipe costs 2-3M gold to buy. Meaning for the most part only crafters who charge customers gold to craft will have this recipe.
So not only do you have to find a crafter who is "around" at the time you're looking for them, you also need them to have the 2M gold recipe.
Then there's the issue of pricing. 463 stuff is generally 100%, doesn't cost crafter anything other than time and everyone values time differently.
476/486 Lariat might require a few attempts unless the crafter insights to make it 100% R5 first attempt. crafters only get 4-6 insight a week. meaning crafters who craft a lot won't move much, and they tend to want more gold for it. these people tend to insight for 5-35k.
crafters who don't craft a lot will have mettle/insight, they won't charge as much, but remember they don't craft a lot so you'll most likely not find them when you need them. Which means you might need to wait awhile till they're online and in town. these people might give insight for free or for 5k.
there's yet another option which people who craft 16 hours a day usually do. they'll craft an item to 476/486 proc with their mats. obviously this requires the crafter to spend their own gold/mats, so they'll more than likely pass the cost on to you by just charging you more. some people try to ask to use their own mats for additional tries, but some crafters view this as a waste of time so they'll decline.
there's also the fact casual crafters won't message people. you can usually convince them to message you by saying what you'll tip in trade chat. If you just say "LF [Item] 486 with embellishment, paying 5000g" you'll get responses from people who want that 5000g. If you don't put "tipping 5000g" and instead put something like "will tip" you'll get less responses due to all the customers who say that then tip 50-500g (crafter sees this as a waste of time).
I feel like 10k is the most I've tipped for crafting except for maybe the first 2 weeks of a patch, for like shadoflame tempered armor patch.

472 sounds like you are still using an Enchanted Wyrm crest; you need to spend 60 Aspects to get an Nascent Aspect from the vendor, have a crafter make an Enchanted Aspect Crest (cost 250-500g), and then put that into a recraft order. You should also find the specific crafter first, and they will probably charge you around 5k for the use of an insight to guarantee a rank 5/ilvl 486.

You can start a “recraft order” (first option at the noc where you put your orders, above all else) and you will see that the first component thats need to be added is an item instead if a spark. You can see the rest of the items needed after. Just find a jc in trade chat and he van probably explain it to you as well
472 means you had 476 crest.
476 lariat requires inspiration proc, which is generally a 37-42% chance to proc 476.

if you dont tip enough some crafters won't insight or recraft with their mats to make sure you get r5/476.
also on public orders you can't request max quality, if you want to request max quality find someone to send a personal order to. crafters doing public orders might not care to help you get max quality.
If the off chance you are on bleeding hollow, I know a guy who has 99% pf the patterns and all profes maxed . Since you can't public order recrafts you either need to send it to the perosn who made it as a personal and hope they see it. Or spam trade chat looking for x

It's usually only 5k on Stormrage because they're using insight.

10k for gems is crazy, just blast a public order and roll the dice for 1k.

5k is standard on Hyjal for guaranteed r5, though there are people who will do it for free

I believe you can have crafted items “recrafted” to increase. You have to have a specific enchanted crest and additional mats.

If the off chance you are on bleeding hollow, I know a guy who has 99% pf the patterns and all profes maxed . Since you can't public order recrafts you either need to send it to the perosn who made it as a personal and hope they see it. Or spam trade chat looking for x
