No sensor likes hot pink. Had a subtle sorta cranberry/raspberry paint on my bike too (inspired by the 1992 Stumpjumper Comp) and on camera it either came out as red or blown out pink, no depth.
So much good about this bike. Beautiful light hubs, awesome cranks, arguably the best rear derailleur ever made, RH RTPs, cool color. Why would anyone ever sell this after putting it together with such a solid build?
Oh. Simple answer. I put on the tires and cranks, and replaced the broken shifters and busted rock shox to make it look like this. And I’m not selling!
Nice upgrades! I recently acquired a 1985 Mountain Klein (frame 501). The rear wheel, bars and stem were not original. I have replaced them with period correct NOS or upgraded parts. I am now replacing the front Dura Ace hub with a Hi-E radial laced. I did add some RH RTPs and a 90s Flight Ti saddle. Those bikes were ahead of their time. Like you, I am not selling!
It’s comparatively light, but by no means is it a true feather weight. As it sits it is approximately 25.3 lbs. once I replace the front hub and skewer I expect it to be closer to 25.0 lbs. I could lighten it further by replacing the SunTour XC seat post with an American Classic seat post. To get into the 24 lbs range I could replace the rear Shimano XT Deer Head rear derailleur with a SunTour Cyclone MK II GT and replace the SunTour XC II bear trap pedals with something lighter. The Araya RM-20 rims are not the lightest, but they are original spec and they look great.
Unless you live in goathead country. Then the best invention is tubeless.
Doesn’t matter how many gears you have if your tires are flat.
I do love me some gears though.
They have their place! They are dead simple and look so nice! Chain lasts forever and make the cockpit super clean. They just suck if you have a lot of hills around you! I had a single speed commuter that was great when my entire commute was flat.
Dang, that is so clean it looks fake. I guess part of that is the lighting and exposure.
Haha yeah. I think my phone doesn’t like that hot pink paintjob. It has a hard time registering it properly

The ultimate status symbol.
😎🙏☝️🫡
Every time a Klein is bought on Craigslist, a dentist gets their wings.
😂
I really wanted one of those when they were released!
Nice bike. Old aluminum is awesome too if well cared for. I have a 2001 Klein Attitude with the Big Sky Blue linear fades :)
Same, I have a 2000 Attitude Race in the same gorgeous Big Sky Blue. It pops
Amazing. Love those paint jobs
Is yours also made in Chehalis WA?
Yup
My eyes bleed! Fluorescent red/orange really grab my eye from a long way away.
This takes me back. I wanted this color so bad bitd. This color pops in the sun. Reminds of 80s freestyle bikes

That bike sounds sick! And feather light! 🫡

Oh interesting. This one comes in at 25.13
Gorgeous bike, nice build
i'm simple folk, i see klein i upvote
Love the brake booster!!
You gotta go single speed if you have those dropouts! Or igh Still cool even if you don’t !
But gears are the best invention in bike history!
Another option is to trade me bikes :)
😂

When you need them, they are definitely the best!
Agreed, I truly do not understand single speeds.
