Yeah but I couldn’t think of a year they were both active along with describing the X-men as a whole 😂 either way the CXNT was served and Selene can eat her heart out
I know that I have found my true Reddit community when a post asks a question and the first answer that comes to my mind is also the top rated response in the comments. Whoever you are, have a wonderful rest of your day.
Much as I love Jubilee as a character, deep down I know that one of the main reasons she has endured so long in fan consciousness is simply because she had a truly great look that's easy to riff on. All you need is a touch of bright yellow and some hot pink shades, and then you can do pretty much anything with the costume - for art, for cosplay, for your fun X-Men redesign.
Jubilee's style isn't showy. It's almost understated, despite the reliance on absurdly bright colours. But it's also effortlessly memorable and iconic.
People underestimate the value of having a striking look in a cast as large as X-men. It's why I'm the only Cyclops fan who prefers the cowl to him being the 10th white guy with flowing brown hair in every group shot. Their are 5 billion X-men, you cling to whatever visual distinction you have for dear life.
You know who had fun gala drip? [Forge](https://www.reddit.com/r/xmen/comments/14ha0ip/full_look_at_forges_and_kwannons_2023_hellfire/). Too bad we didn’t get more of the pimp tassel look outside Fall of Gala.
He can’t count for this question tho because he splits his time between hot cutoffs and the most aggressively plain training outfits, lol.
i mean storm rocks punk as the queen of the underworld and true regality as the queen of the heavens, no match!
I got to shout out Mirage for wearing elements from her culture in the trainee attire whilst talking shit to Xavier in the same breath. also her different Valkyrie looks were always great, her Blevins duds were iconic, girl looks good.
The fact that he wears that for “thieving” (read in Claremont creole accent) kind of discredits it. And most of his other fashion choices are far from good.
He's that good a thief! He has to handicap himself with the bright pink to have a challenge!
But, yeah, Gambit is the prime example of relying on body.
I can’t think of another super hero team who is so fond of wearing street jackets/coats as part of their uniforms.
The X-Men 97 team for instance, literally half is rocking the jacket/overcoat look.
My dark horse answer for the fellas is Magneto. He has great loungewear, several nice suits, rocks a turtleneck in Legacy, and iconic costume(s). With a helmet!
Emma and Storm, they've had nonstop sauced out drip, for the last 50 plus years (in and out of costume with their civvie fits).
Everyone else has been hit or miss, and I say this as someone even loves their bad looks, because it represents a moment in time.
Emma, of course, is the Anna Wintour of X. Storm is the Naomi Campbell x Grace Jones. Northstar is a strong contendor for knowing how to make a signature look work through the ages/eras. Honestly, most of the X-cast has had a slay every now and then.
On the other hand, Captain Can't Dress Herself Pryde has held down the lack-of-drip category since her conception.
Edit: grammar lol
I think [Cyke](https://images.app.goo.gl/qBCAEGwHb4LN3nsc7) and
[Alex](https://images.app.goo.gl/R4LiyE9L8NY1kCeHA)
But the actual first place has to go to [Kitty](https://13thdimension.com/the-crazy-costumes-of-kitty-pryde/)
Kitty’s outfits are… choices, but she is def not fashion. They had [this look](https://share.icloud.com/photos/05ay5tcdfmH0pXG6Im_YFxdbA) in your link and you were like “Yeah, slay!”
Magneto knows how to wear a suit, dude can hang in any board room meeting. Logan as Patch is all around ridiculous if you think about it too much but otherwise pretty damn badass.
But i think I’m gonna go with Mr. Sinister. Dude’s makeup is always on point lol.
Sheeeeeeit, that's a question that got a lot harder to answer in a post Hellfire Gala world. Exodus is my number one style icon. His signature style is simultaneously both inappropriate and very appropriate for every situation. Eye-Boy, Prodigy, Magneto and Askani also always look fabulous.
> Emma Frost is a one-trick pony
Gasp! No no, she wears white with capes, cleavage and/or midriff and also… white with jackets, cleavage and/or midriff. And that one time she wore *black* with capes, cleavage and/or midriff! You have to be a connoisseur, darling, but low-rise pants, hot pants, and panties are very different, truly.
Yeah, it's kind of wild that people think Emma dresses well. She's had some good outfits on Krakoa, but a lot of her fashion would be considered gauche and tacky. And her pre-Krakoa outfits were awful.
Side/tangent question: does anyone know what the process of changing a costume is? Like does the artist have free creative reign/freedom for a reinterpretation/redefining, or do they have to present designs and the marvel editor has to approve them before hand? Or maybe presented to a group of peers before getting the green light? Just curious.
Storm by a mile. Her drip transcends the page and spills out into the animated series. Rewatching the show it's amazing how many times she's in a whole new outfit while everyone else wears the same stuff.
In Marvel's "Women of Marvel" Podcast they had a few episodes about solo characters, and for every character episode, the hosts brought 1 or 2 guests that were relevant to the featured character.
Emma's feature episode was the only one where one of the invited guests was a fashion specialist/historian, brought specifically to talk about Emma's fashion, which says a lot.
For the guys it's either Magneto or Sunspot.
Xavier and Magneto are always dressed well. Beast would dress well if he had the option to.
Absolutely wouldn't say Emma. Nothing she wears actually looks good. It's all just for sex appeal and scandal, there's nothing elegant or refined about most of her looks until Krakoa. And a lot of people dressed well in Krakoa (Xavier and Magneto for example).
My vote goes to Storm and Rogue.
Emma has lots of outfits, but personally, I never thought a lot of them were that great. Storm on the other hand, so many outfits and more great ones than ones I find terrible.
Of course, some of this could likely be attributed to artist.
Gambit has so much drip it has scared plenty of x-men editors and writers about including him in any half decent stories the past 20+ years
Shout out to those who have used him well though!
Emma and Storm, the only girls in marvel to wear Thierry Mugler.
Amazing how Kitty is close to both and yet dresses so badly lmao.
Her taste sucks. lol. She can’t even figure out a codename lol
It’s really quite the achievement, having the most iconic nickname and totally forgettable codenames.
Her codename isn't Kitty?
It’s Ariel, Sprite, Shadowcat, Cat, Shadowkat, Star-Lord, Star-Lady, Red Queen, Widget, and Professor K.
Try as they might - It will always be Shadowcat to me.
Exactly. Why aren't they sticking to that?
Because it doesn’t really mean anything.
It's a cool name. I would guess the issue is really that she doesn't have cat features or aspects to her outfit
She should call herself LeBillion cause she's going to save a billion lives (mha reference)
They already did that with Morbius, referencing how his film would make morbillion dollars.
Even Emma agreed with Sinister when he said Kitty's wardrobe was basically the Xavier's Institute Lost and Found
Kitty is always the worst drip. [Remember this outfit?](https://share.icloud.com/photos/0a3k8R9ig_RAU---p2Lt035hA)
given that her "iconic fallback look" is an alteration of the student uniform, that's a major yikes. imagine being a rookie forever.
Yup, Emma and Storm by far have the best outfits period!
They’ve both been serving CXNT since 63
Neither was around in ‘63? The cxnt was later
Yeah but I couldn’t think of a year they were both active along with describing the X-men as a whole 😂 either way the CXNT was served and Selene can eat her heart out

Excellent observation! I had never considered her visual versatility in that way.
I don’t know of a character that’s had more costume designs than Emma Frost
Storm
That one Piotr gala moment though?
If the Krakoa era gave us nothing else, it gave us the goddamm hottest Colossus that has ever existed in any universe 🥵🥵🥵
And *that* is the word of the Lord.
He got my osmium pumping
Agree. Osmium daddy 🥵🥵
You know who had fun gala drip? [Forge](https://www.reddit.com/r/xmen/comments/14ha0ip/full_look_at_forges_and_kwannons_2023_hellfire/). I have something for him to fix…
They were so mean to my boy but damn metal zaddy
Tbh on a serious note Piotr is an example of how soft bois with a powerful exterior often get dogwalked. It happens all the time.
I haven't read it yet, I had to Google. I literally gasped....Bozhe moi...
i mean storm rocks punk as the queen of the underworld and true regality as the queen of the heavens, no match! I got to shout out Mirage for wearing elements from her culture in the trainee attire whilst talking shit to Xavier in the same breath. also her different Valkyrie looks were always great, her Blevins duds were iconic, girl looks good.
That's why I love Storm's style. She makes hardcore punk look regal.
Gambit rocking the pink body armor under the trench coat is pretty drippy
He’s been wearing the same outfit since the 90s
And he wears it WELL
That's what the fashion industry refers to as a "timeless" look
BECAUSE IT’S GREAT.
Iceman: I didn't know Gambit's taste was this good! Gambit: 'Course you did, Bobby. Iceman: All right. Fine. I did.
The fact that he wears that for “thieving” (read in Claremont creole accent) kind of discredits it. And most of his other fashion choices are far from good.
Well he steals my dignity each time he wears it so…
He's that good a thief! He has to handicap himself with the bright pink to have a challenge! But, yeah, Gambit is the prime example of relying on body.
I love Rogue with green lipstick (like in her first appearance when she fought the Avengers)
I’ve always loved rogue’s bomber jacket/super hero outfit.
I can’t think of another super hero team who is so fond of wearing street jackets/coats as part of their uniforms. The X-Men 97 team for instance, literally half is rocking the jacket/overcoat look.
Cause it’s a good look.
My dark horse answer for the fellas is Magneto. He has great loungewear, several nice suits, rocks a turtleneck in Legacy, and iconic costume(s). With a helmet!

Storm. She can make a sack of potatoes look good as a dress.
If that did that Marilyn Monroe potato sack reference for a Storm outfit, I would legitimately die happy
Rogue, Gambit, Storm
1-999 = any of them at one point or another 1000 = Kitty
What about early Teenage Negasonic Warhead’s goth costume?
For the men? Sunspot, Northstar and surprisingly Xavier However, Cyclops is next level when he tries
Xavier is a good dresser, glad someone else agrees. He dresses simply and conservatively, but it's always good and classy.
Emma Frost. Woman lives to out-drip the others
Emma frost. Period.
Storm, followed by Emma.
This is the right answer.
Storm’s Arrakko outfit in X-Men Red is really majestic; especially when coupled with her hairdo.
Right I'll never forget that vomit-inducing costume she came up with back in the 80s when she was calling herself Sprite. It was positively ghastly.
I’m dying seeing a best X-drip thread instantly turn into a roast Kitty’s lack of taste thread lol.
Rogue and storm in this pic
Best? Emma Frost and I would say Storm.
I think [Cyke](https://images.app.goo.gl/qBCAEGwHb4LN3nsc7) and [Alex](https://images.app.goo.gl/R4LiyE9L8NY1kCeHA) But the actual first place has to go to [Kitty](https://13thdimension.com/the-crazy-costumes-of-kitty-pryde/)
"Kitty's Kostume Korner" What the actual fuck?
Huh, actually her Astonishing look might be her best. No coincidence that it’s the least try-hard of them all.
For sure lol. Kitty has such good style…
Kitty’s outfits are… choices, but she is def not fashion. They had [this look](https://share.icloud.com/photos/05ay5tcdfmH0pXG6Im_YFxdbA) in your link and you were like “Yeah, slay!”
Ice Man, on a warm day.
Would probably go with Storm or Emma. But I also like rouges
Those that can actually pull something off without Jumbo Carnation? Emma (the queen), Storm, Sunspot, Northstar, Monet.
It’s Emma Frost and it’s not even debatable.
Storm I refuse to argue or explain
Hellfire Gala Piotr / Colossus and it ain't even close.
Magneto knows how to wear a suit, dude can hang in any board room meeting. Logan as Patch is all around ridiculous if you think about it too much but otherwise pretty damn badass. But i think I’m gonna go with Mr. Sinister. Dude’s makeup is always on point lol.

Storm and it's not even close. Magik comes in second.
I'm afraid I'm too old to understand the question.
They mean who has the best fashion in the franchise.
Hello friend, I am also 80 percent dust.
Same. Immediately thought we were talking about maybe some gross STD or something
If you actually read X-Men, the answer is obviously Rogue, Storm is a close second. Emma Frost is a one trick pony.
> Emma Frost is a one-trick pony Gasp! No no, she wears white with capes, cleavage and/or midriff and also… white with jackets, cleavage and/or midriff. They’re not ready for this conversation.
Counterargument. Rogue put this outfit on her body: https://ibb.co/JcZj1p6 I feel like this alone negates any drip she may have worn in the past.
Storm and Rogue, IMO.
Manifold
I love Rogues green hoodie look from Legacy. Roberto also always have a good look.
Storm and Rogue KNOW how to dress with ANYTHING! Emma can knock'em dead, but points are deducted for only being versatile for the sake of her brand.
Emma and Storm. Easy.
Magik
New X-Men/Frank Quitely-era Cyclops
Followed by mohawk/leather jacket-era Storm
Emma for sure! Rogue, Storm and Gambit.
First place Storm, second place Gambit, everyone else is dragging far behind. Rogue gets an honorable mention.
Whoever it is, it sure as hell isn't Kitty. Lol
Storm by a mile. Her drip transcends the page and spills out into the animated series. Rewatching the show it's amazing how many times she's in a whole new outfit while everyone else wears the same stuff.
Best costume ever: https://images.app.goo.gl/bEh3VKsJ5FYV1CQy7
I am V surprised I have never seen this outfit cosplayed.
For men, it'll have to be Gambit. Bro is a slut for compliments, he knows when and how to dress nice
Iceman on a hot day should be the drippiest.
I’m old l, I guess. Define drip, please. All I could think of is coffee or a venereal disease. Thank you.
“A person’s overall fashion sense and style.”
Thank you.
Nightcrawler
I think is storm. When they don't give her a horrible hairdo of course.
ORORO MONROE! She is a goddess after all.
Drip? Perhaps Bobby Drake when he melts?
Why are they leaking? They need a doctor?

Emma Frost. No contest.
i mean, i feel like it's clearly gambit, maybe i'm blinded by his swagger but his collection of trench coats and bright pink armoring never fails
Xavier and Magneto are always dressed well. Beast would dress well if he had the option to. Absolutely wouldn't say Emma. Nothing she wears actually looks good. Only one mutant matched leopard print leggings with a jaunty beret, let's hear it for fashion icon Skids!
Yes
don’t make me pick 😭
Storm, Polaris and Wolverine (Dude has at least 3 classic costumes- only Spider-Man has been able to pull that off).
Beast, big ol cat/ape in swim trunks and everyone is fine with it.
Storm, Rogue, Tabitha, good call on Dani.
Gambit storm
Emma
Storm wins, the "Voice of sol" attire is the tiebreaker.
Laura Kinney. Whether goth or hot Wolverine, her looks are always fire.
The correct answer is Storm
It’s storm hands down. I think she has way too many iconic looks
Anyone but Jean Grey
Emma, colossus, jubilee if you wanna keep it real forge/cable
Storm, then Emma. They stay dripped out
Emma .
Banana hammock clad Colossus
My vote goes to Storm and Rogue. Emma has lots of outfits, but personally, I never thought a lot of them were that great. Storm on the other hand, so many outfits and more great ones than ones I find terrible. Of course, some of this could likely be attributed to artist.
Xavier
rogue or cyke
cable, rogue, or cyke
Emma, wolverine, magik, and nightcrawler.
Gambit has so much drip it has scared plenty of x-men editors and writers about including him in any half decent stories the past 20+ years Shout out to those who have used him well though!
The fuck is "drip"
It's how generation Z says "fashion sense", I guess.
I think essentially it’s slang for having the best style that is both fashionable and cool.
