There is a lot of criticism over the singles. And I think I understand why.
Yela for sure has had success. But never really blown up and received the critically acclaimed success many of us know he deserves. He's got great bars, versatile, passionate. He makes good music.
With that being said. If what he's been doing hasn't worked, I can see why he would go for a slightly different sound. You don't keep doing the same thing and expecting different results right? Make you uh me, the uh (or whatever it is) I'm sure he's trying to find something that just sounds different. That makes the song identifiable. New me, that heavy transition, it's supposed to be an attention getter. Again, something that hopefully sounds unique and catches people's attention.
I think for reasons like that is why some of the sound is a little different to us. And I hope it works for him. I do believe the album itself tho will have a lot of songs that us on here will love as well. I'm really looking forward to it this Friday. And I'm sure I'll be listening to it all weekend. Can't wait.
When I click on my tracking # on USPS it says that my label was created but it hasn’t been picked up yet. Maybe because I’m in Canada they got all the international packages ready to go first?
I think the War Story singles have been solid. “Trailer in the Sky” seems to be the only single where he didn’t take many creative risks, so I would rank that one below the other 3 creatively. However, there’s still 20+ unheard tracks…some of them are bound to be fire regardless of whether the album is great or just good. All that being said, the rollout has been a little confusing. Eminem’s single did so well that it has definitely has overshadowed it a little.
Me personally? The new ones I haven't heard yet.
Yup cuz so far the singles have all been lackluster by yela's standards
I thought new me was great tbh
New me is good, but still not as dope as Opie Taylor for example
1000% absolutely underwhelming

Lookin Over Bad Motherfucker
Hyped for ticket. Maylay stuff gonna be elite. TM4Ever gonna be unreal as well. I think I might separate the albums into 2 sides since it’s 25 tracks.
