I gotta go with Breath of the Wild. I like their design, and they feel like they have more uniqueness and personality than the other variations.
Outside the latest games, the Bokoblin just feels like another frumpy monster to cut down.
But maybe it's just that they're my favorite "standard" monsters of BotW/TotK - I'll take basically any other Moblin or Lizalfos over theirs.
There’s an element of “Grunts from Halo” to them as it feels like they have lives and personalities outside of the whole war thing going on and quite frankly are just misunderstood and are being manipulated by Ganon to do his bidding
After hanging out with Bokos, Moblins and Lizals using the masks, I kinda feel bad when I kill them now.
They're so goofy and even cute, up close.
And since I found out Lynels will let you be as long as you don't act hostile, I also feel some level of empathy for them.
Damn game, making me sympathetic to the evil minions...
Also similar to how the Grunts are regularly bullied by the Elites, sometimes during battle you’ll see a Moblin just grab a Bokoblin and chuck him at Link as a projectile.
My personal preference is TP. I like how fucking stupid they look like. their hair tied up, the screams they make in the games, and they look like Rasins! They look like elderly women. It’s so fucking funny.
I would think higher of the botw/totk bokoblins if I didn’t fight approximately 10 billion of them across two games, I’m absolutely sick of seeing them. So I’d say my favorites are the wind waker ones.

I love how the Twilight Princess one is just nightmare fuel compared to the others
It's a toss between BotW and WW
Beyond just the visual design, I love the funny noises they make in Wind Waker
I like the SS ones cuz those fuckers are tactical
they are funny too, laughing at you if you cant hit them or mess up

Elderly raisin ladies is definitely the how I would describe them as well
Something about Wind Waker bokoblins just really speaks to me.
TP Bokoblin brings that old man vibe to the whole game that TWW Bokoblin hates
SS bokoblins look like a dude wearing a bokoblin mascot costume

I love the BotW design, but they're almost too "cute." When I look at the TP and SS designs, I genuinely want to kill them.

The Twilight princess game is also scary for no reason. It’s literally scary on purpose for no reason.
I love TP to bits but literally the only reason it existed was to be edgy and dark.

I rip the photos straight from the wiki. And that was the their because BOTW and TOTK are different for some reason.
Well I know but the totk bokoblin horns are serrated and flat and not cylindrical and smooth like the one in the photo
