Its 79 years instead of 80, they had to launch it a year early for monetary reasons. But the latest episodes 296 and 296b have been the start of the battle of berlin and hitlers death respectively. Its been really cool to see the war covered on a micro scale like this that you can follow along.
He did the same thing for ww1 under a seperate channel for its 100th anniversary weeks. And his next series is the korean war week by week. Hes also done the interwar period year by year with the timeghost channel. Im a huge fan, I've been watching since week 3 of ww1 back in 2014
Just to expand on this, the main "WW2 Week By Week" series tends to cover primarily the political & military progress of the war each week. There's two other separate series, War Against Humanity (which covers war crimes, the Holocaust, etc) and Spies & Ties (which covers, well, spies & espionage) that expand on the other aspects of the war as well.
Say what you will about Canada's past, the British monarchy, invasions, etc you at least have to admit we did have a pretty neat looking flag despite all of the... stuff associated with it and the current use it has adopted by... fringe groups. Our current flag feels a little... i don't know... boring... which yes, is fitting for Canada but still.

Funnily enough I did work for these guys back in 2015/2016 when they were doing WW1 week by week. I did research for one of the episodes on regions. I’d find it and share it but it has my deadname.
