i think its
the seller guy did win 10 dollars, as he gave 20 and received 30
the buyer lost as he had 50 dollars (30+20)
he put 20 dollars on the table (-20) and then he gave the other guy 30 bucks (-30) and got in return 40 (+40)
It's not that the answer was obvious, more that it was obviously impossible. It was presented in a way that makes it seem like a scam magic trick, but the person running the trick lost money which isn't what you expect, so it's a little confusing
The guy filming started with 50 (2 twenties and a ten)
Other guy started with 20
Guy filming ended up with 40 and the other guy ended up with 30
So he just gave him 10 dollars in a roundabout way

Very complicated way for one dude to give the other $10
he bought 20$ for 30$ because he already owned half of the 40$
😱😱😱
Wait excuse me? Stop with the math jiu-jitsu

the answer must have been obvious for other people but i did have to use my 2nd braincell for it

It wasnt obvious to me till I read your comment, thank
It took me way longer to figure it out than I'd like to admit.
They actually both lost because the rand devalued by 50% during the video 😞
He gets a 10, but he also loses a 20

Proof that we can in fact just print more money
This is definitely I would have done with to cousin some 10 years ago and I would probably be too dumb to realize I'd be the one giving him $10
