i dont work in the oil field but i do work in industrial construction. ive worked around refineries as well. i would NEVER take my shirt off while doing this. the amount of shit on the ground and walls(metal dust, regular dirt, and any other nasty chemicals) sticks to your skin and then your just miserable all day cause it itches like crazy. i barely roll my sleeves up. it could be 100+ out here and i still wouldnt. that dude is just a show off.
