Yep - drive will most likely already have CFW and that hardware was left in to make it easy to update in the future.
Correct. Back in the day u had to flash back the stock firmware to the drive before an xbox update and this made it easier

what type of xecuter pcb is it never seen it
It's not technically the LTU2 itself, it's part of QoL stuff that came with DLN10N variant from TX. Pictured are external SPI unlock/lock switch and the vendor mode switch.
