In his 4 games before that he had kicked 10 or 11 goals, with Butler and Higgins out we need some presence at ground level. Now he's not going to get a lot of the ball but if he can be a crumbing threat that's what we need.
Brodie Smith is the next Sloane. Going on for years after his prime with the club unwilling to ever drop him because he is a club legend. I predict another sad mid-season retirement next year.
I don’t get the hate around him. He usually gets his 15-20 touches with lots of contested ones. Few silly turnovers and some of his kicks don’t make the distance but we need to win the contest in the middle and his good at the ground balls
