Surprise . Another lawsuit against dodger stadium for excessive force. LA Lawyers are drooling rn and wrestling each other. Guard fired . Guy claims whiplash… at least 500k is my guess
Being serious, that could get you a decent 2 2/3 2 1,100-1,500 sqft house in an okay area in San Bernardino County, but that’s about as far west as you’re getting.
Also it’s 166 months and 2/3 of rent for a good place to live on the outskirts of LA county and about 104 months in LA.
To put that into context, that could buy a 3 bed 2 bath finished basement 2,200+ sqft house in atlanta and a 4 4 finished basement w pool/1+ acre 2,400+ on the outskirts, or 416 and 2/3rds months of rent in the outskirts and 312 and a half months rent in the city (all rent based on 2 bedroom current market rate median).
> Another lawsuit against dodger stadium for excessive force
[FIVE NEW LAWSUITS FILED AGAINST THE DODGERS](https://abc7.com/dodgers-dodger-stadium-security-excessive-force/12075437/)
These are *NEW* lawsuits...implying that there are ***OLD*** lawsuits...
Looks like contact with the head. Player in white is stationary, doesn't dip into the tackle, tackler makes no effort to get low enough to avoid head contact. No mitigating factors. It's a red card.
☑️ Subject in possession of significant quantities of ice, expertly cut w/intention to distribute.
☑️ Subject found holding a rock, claims was for "best friend in life" (under interrogation admitted this person was their "hookup")
☑️ Officer detected odor of grass, literally surrounding subject on all sides
That was my first thought, massive power trip/overreaction.. then I thought... This is the US. Could it have looked like he was potentially reaching for a gun? That's my only possible explanation.
For real. The people acting like this is the same as police brutality don’t understand that someone getting lit up for running onto the field is as exciting as the chase itself.
Sure but the interaction has been "reset" once he knelt down. There's no longer any confusion really. You can deal with the situation in a more controlled way. It has been like 10 seconds after he took out the ring before he was even tackled.
Uh I see people tacked this way when running into European soccer fields. Those fans kill each other over sports too when the match is done. America gets a lot of hate, but place it.
It’s one of those weird things where you can basically try to kill somebody who obviously means no harm to anyone and everyone just accepts it. Sports is so sanctified and revered in that disrupting it is seen as a major criminal offense worthy of this sort of extreme punishment. If an actual cop did this to someone on the street doing a more serious crime people would be up in arms. But this person interrupted the holy sportsball, he must be dealt with.
After Dimebag Darrell's murder I think there was a big change in security at live events and people going on the field or stage was now seen as a serious threat instead of someone being funny.
It's not like sport isn't revered elsewhere, I'd say probably much more so in many other places, it can be done without endangering people like that for such minor offenses lmao.
You trespass at any event like that you’ll probably get tackled. Same shit would have happened if he ran on stage at a concert, it’s not exclusive to sporting events.
This is some r/ihatesportsball material.
This guy really should sue the shit out of the ball park. I am sure there were medical bills associated with that over use of force.
If you can injure a criminal in the process of robbing you and they have the right to sue, then this guy surely has a case.
> I am sure there were medical bills associated with that over use of force.
I'm sure some lawyer would claim there were. A young man of decent size gets tackled from his knees onto grass. Yes, it's possible that in putting his arms behind his back they could injure or break his arm, or that he could have some neck injury, but I'd say it's equally or probably *more* likely this guy will at most be a little sore in the morning.
So I am not as sure as you that there are medical bills associated with that over use of force.
I'm not exactly old, but I'd wager if I was tackled that hard by a guy that large, I would need to at least have a once over by a doctor.
The force was unwarranted and there should be repercussions when folks in positions like this abuse their power. There was no reason for this guy to think this kind of force would be used in this situation.
Regardless of how you feel about the potential for bodily harm, it shouldn't have been a matter of discussion to begin with. There was not a single reason for them to go straight for a tackle without any type of attempt of handling the situation in a civil manner. The security guard here was just plain wrong and should not be working that sort of job if this is how they handle things.
Yeah, that kind of hit, without football pads, is approaching deadly force. Three-on-one and the guy had only violated property rules, no sign of hostility and not trying to flee. 0/10, security. Do better.
Honestly, as the guy proposing, this would be my preferred outcome.
"Babe, I would go through ANYTHING to spend the rest of my life with you. Let me prove it! Be right back, get your phone out!"
>"Babe, I would go through ANYTHING to spend the rest of my life with you. Let me prove it! Be right back, get your phone out!"
"I would go through ANYTHING to spend the rest of my life, **after prison**, with you."
When my ankles allowed me to skateboard back in my teens, we used to skate in a carpark and we used to call the rent-a-cops "Whoppers", as in 'Wanna Be Coppers" and because they appeared to have a diet consisting solely on Hungry Jack's (Burger King for non Aussies). They used to chase us around in their electric carts while we'd just outskate them, good times, good times.
So apparently, there was already a small food chain called Burger King operating down under, and they had the trademark to that name. So when the American Burger King wanted to expand into Australia, they had to come up with a new name.

Lowered body to average belly button height, attempted to wrap, had his head up the whole way, but didn’t drive through the tackle with his leading leg. All in all, I’m gonna give him a 8/10 for technique.

I get why people are pissed at the tackle, but I found it hilarious. Is it unnecessary? Absolutely. But every American sports fan knows that being tased or tackled is extremely likely if you run onto the field. Play stupid games, win excessively stupid prizes
I think it sends the right message. He should not be on the field. Hopefully people think twice before doing something like this again. That's not unnecessary roughness, that's a guard doing his job, while intimidating potential followers

You can tell those guards haven’t had anything exciting happen in a very long time.
Nice hit, he's auditioning for the Rams. They need linebackers.
But would they have tackled him just like that if he'd been naked?
They probably would've came from the back 😏
On the back*
They would have tackled him even *harder*
No kidding, they have to watch baseball all day long
They don't even get to watch baseball, they're usually staring at the crowd
That's actually better then
remember a few years back when that guy threw a slice of pizza at the other guy? best bit of a baseball broadcast ive seen in decades!
In South Korea, they sell fried chicken at baseball games. It is normal to chuck the bones on to the field. South Korea understands baseball.
But they made the pitchers not stall anymore so it's way more exciting!
Nah they probably cos play real law enforcement on the weekends.
Every night when they get home they practice on their wives.
that guards been training all off season for this
They LIVE for that opportunity
Get them @ the XFL combine asap solid contact

Nice wedding present.
All a part of the plan
Paying for the wedding and the honeymoon with the proceeds of the proposal is a real galaxy brain move.
That’s good for what, half a house in LA? 3 months rent?
I have a banana box in the backyard listed on Zillow for that price.
Holy shit. Seriously? I've been looking everywhere and I was going to have to rent a cereal box in WeHo. When can I move in?
Today but you have to dig your own latrine.
Score! What are the chances that I have a brand new shovel that needs breaking in.
There's always money in the banana box
How much could a banana box cost, Links_to_Magic_Cards, a half million?
Who tf told you about my banana box stash??
I stayed in an Airbnb like that in your area once.
Being serious, that could get you a decent 2 2/3 2 1,100-1,500 sqft house in an okay area in San Bernardino County, but that’s about as far west as you’re getting. But then you'd have to live in Atlanta.
You make-a the funny joke, no? You come-a to my restaurant I give you greatest marinara of your life-a
Californians don’t buy property in California. Everyone knows that.
In LA, all you need is a shopping cart, a tent and/or A tarp and you can live anywhere you want. Go to Beverly Hills, Venice Beach, or wherever!

Give the guy 50K and she'll get the Wedding of her dreams! Two years later and divorced!
A settlement with a lifetime ban to Dodger Stadium. Hope he likes the Angels.
I don't get why they felt the need to use violence on a man already on his knees. He could have literally just ask him to leave
It's really stupid the way they tackle the guy. It's really stupid guy decided to propose there.
You can tell the guard was like "Now's my time"
"I've always wanted to do this!"
Dude did not choose love that day
He saw his chance & boy did he take it
You can see him humping the dude with all the excitement
“It’s Brucie’s time to shine!”
Whispering in this guys ear “who’s yo daddy”
Maybe they prefer rugby.
Looks like contact with the head. Player in white is stationary, doesn't dip into the tackle, tackler makes no effort to get low enough to avoid head contact. No mitigating factors. It's a red card.
Dude shouldn’t be on the field, but holy shit that is ridiculous.

Sorry bro. Better one than the other. You are worth it. Even if you don’t act like it, you have it inside you fam.
Mine ended in divorce but I'm also sure I'm gonna die somewhere in between 1 day and 40 years from now
Hey, the day's not over yet :)
I feel a bad case of death coming on right now! Hangover
Yes.
I bet the security guard will put this clip on the highlight reel that he submits with his police training application.

LAPD Academy drop-outs?
Why tackle someone already on their knees/a knee? Someone loves their security job.
That was my first thought, massive power trip/overreaction.. then I thought... This is the US. Could it have looked like he was potentially reaching for a gun? That's my only possible explanation.
Tackling idiots who run onto the field is a much of a national pastime as baseball itself
That guard had been waiting his whole life for somebody to give him an excuse to show us his tackling technique!
For real. The people acting like this is the same as police brutality don’t understand that someone getting lit up for running onto the field is as exciting as the chase itself.
And a beautiful form tackle it was

Friend, I have some bad news for you about how thousands of street arrests happen every day.
After Dimebag Darrell's murder I think there was a big change in security at live events and people going on the field or stage was now seen as a serious threat instead of someone being funny.
Huh? Increased security at sporting events was 100% because of 9/11, not dimebag Darrell’s murder lol
Dimebag Darrell’s murder inspired 9/11 despite happening after

Dudes an idiot for going on the field. But that’s some fucked up shit to tackle a guy like that when he’s not even running.
That security guard has been waiting his entire life for that moment.
Peaked in high school as a fullback that went to state and lost
If coach had just put him in the 4th quarter, they'd have won state, no doubt, no doubt.
wanna watch me throw a football over them Mountains
That or off duty cop - the overly aggressiveness is there
I agree with this analysis.

Yeah, that kind of hit, without football pads, is approaching deadly force. Three-on-one and the guy had only violated property rules, no sign of hostility and not trying to flee. 0/10, security. Do better.
