Streetcar to city park. Storybook land. Beignets in the park and then children s museum. If you have a lot of time, the sculpture garden is great….some kids may find this less interesting
Second this. Storybook land is always fun and a short walk to the playground with beignets. Aquarium is okay but id choose the zoo and Audubon park over the aquarium personally. Children's museum is also very good.
Another advantage to the Children's museum is proximity to Angelo Brocato's to get gelato afterward. And maybe a bag of their tasty fig cookies to take to snack on the next leg of your journey.
Children museum is great. But whole family will like the aquarium. And the area where you can touch live fish octopus. And also the bird area where you feed them
The aquarium is fun, and I haven’t been since the renovation, but you typically end up going through it very quickly. We were surprised at how little time we were there with young kids.
My personal opinion, the aquarium is pretty mundane. I'm sure a three year old would still enjoy it, but it's pretty sad compared to a lot of other aquariums that I've been to. I'd vote for the Children's Museum.

Children's Museum is super cute and they always have a blast. My kid loved it every time and the restaurant is pretty good, too.
There will be more to do at the Children's Museum.
My vote is for the Children's Museum, hands down!

The cool zoo at Audubon is a great place to cool off after visiting the animals.

Last time I was at the zoo, they all asked for you... So maybe the zoo
