My grandparents have a war memorial room and it is a little startling the first time you walk into my Grandfathers office and see a nazi flag folded up and a whole uniform. He fought in the Korean war and my Great Grandfather fought in WWII. According to the stories I have heard, he killed a dozen Nazi's and was in Berlin after Hitlers death. He brought home the Uniform and weaponry of a pretty high level officer his battalion was targeting. That has become a permanent shrine in my grandparents house among other military metals, flags, awards, photos, etc.

Other than the obvious weird objects around, I think bad vibes or just people arguing or fighting around me, the guest, would be uncomfortable.
Very few things are more awkward than watching someone else's family fight (mostly when you're a kid).
