Me.

CountHonorius

More summer than winter, really.

Major_Expert_2163

I'm 50+ years old and the only thing I have with wrinkles is my ballsack.

SlideItIn100

I ironed a shirt 30 minutes ago.

thuskindlyiscatter

Umm everyone? I hope?

itspronounced_ayjay

I honestly haven’t in 10+ years and questioning why I still have this board hanging in my laundry room

thuskindlyiscatter

All your clothes are so very very wrinkly, my guy.

itspronounced_ayjay

Not at all. Modern washers and dryers have everything come out wrinkle free if you don’t let it sit there forever

lysistrata3000

I haven't owned an iron or an ironing board for 15 years. I don't wear clothing that wrinkles. Besides, even if I get a stray wrinkled item, it's nothing a few minutes in the dryer can't cure.

itspronounced_ayjay

I haven’t ironed anything in 10+ years and was just looking at the ironing board collecting dust in my laundry room thinking about throwing it out

Mdkzist

What?

unintelligentburrito

i would if i could get the seal off of mine

SlideItIn100

Have you tried offering him a fish?

unintelligentburrito

ooh will try, thank you

As far as most casual wear goes, it's not the type of fabric that really requires ironing if you just handle your clothing neatly. As far as more formal wear goes, modern textiles are readily available which don't wrinkle as badly as the stuff from the 50s. You could still benefit from ironing if you want a really sharp look, but you definitely don't need to go starching your shirts all the time just to prevent them from looking like they got run over by a train. Also, fashion changed. I don't iron a shirt unless I'm going to a funeral or something. If someone handed me a stiff, starchy shirt, I'd throw it to the side and grab a different shirt.

Guilty-Library-7591

I do how else would I get the wrinkles out?

emilygayleh

I honestly prefer steaming if I’m in a rush! I don’t have to set up the ironing board and can plug in the steamer instead and let it warm up really quick.

Guilty-Library-7591

Yeah that's true but sucks for people like me that don't have a steamer

itspronounced_ayjay

Haven’t needed to iron anything in 10+ years. All my clothes go Straight from the dryer to the closet

AdditionalSalary8803

Aside from socks, underwear and some older tshirts, nothing I wear goes in the dryer

itspronounced_ayjay

Why?

AdditionalSalary8803

I find the colours stay truer longer as well as the clothes last longer

itspronounced_ayjay

Why would I when my clothes come out of the dryer wrinkle free and go straight to hang in the closet?

itspronounced_ayjay

I’d say credit goes to the washer and dryer. Modern ones are way better and I don’t overload the machines so everything comes out fine. If I ever want something super crisp it’s just a quick 5 min with a steamer

itspronounced_ayjay

I rarely need to wear dress shirts, if I do then my dryer can steam them and come out perfect. And never had a shrinking problem in the dryer, low heat is your friend

lysistrata3000

Not everyone, you fucking rude dude.

BraveGlory

Not me

Knick_Knick

'Still?' This implies I ever did.

[deleted]

Yk that not ironing your underwear can lead to infections and bacterias in your genitals, which can infect someone else when in a sexual relationship. Like, ironing your clothes is about hygiene

itspronounced_ayjay

Hahaha. This is one of the funniest theories I’ve ever heard!

[deleted]

It's not a fucking theory https://www.google.com/amp/s/timesofindia.indiatimes.com/life-style/health-fitness/health-news/sexual-health-why-you-should-start-ironing-your-underwear/amp_etphotostory/100190384.cms DID YOU NOT HAVE SE CLASS IN HIGH SCHOOL?

itspronounced_ayjay

Sorry. I don’t think an Indian buzzfeed article is going to sway me

itspronounced_ayjay

These links look so uncredible that they’d give my computer a virus. If you have bacteria on your underwear that can survive laundry detergent in a hot cycle then I don’t think an iron is solving your problems

[deleted]

Dude, those are different things. You don't need to wash OR iron. You can do both.

itspronounced_ayjay

Huh?

itspronounced_ayjay

Let me speak in crayon then… IF THE FUNK ON YOUR BALLS CANT BE HANDLED BY A WASHING MACHINE ALONE, THEN YOU NEED TO GO TO THE DOCTOR.
