SoFi_Best

Sofi is a good alternative and has no fees!

In what way were you scammed that Chime didn't help with? Depending on the situation, it may be the same with most banks. What is fraudulent to a person may not actually be fraudulent on the banks side.

A. Just do some googling. There are just so many accounts of chime doing horrible things or ignoring their customers disputes and inexplicably siding with the merchant. I don't see anything like this when I google other banks and reviews of them. There are always people that complain, sure, but this is on another level to the point where it's obvious the problems people have with Chime are very real. B. I don't want to get into too deep as I've already spent probably a full day worth of time fighting my case but basically a merchant clearly defrauded me and on top of that I was lied into the sale by the merchant. They never looked at my evidence once, they never responded to any of my points, I refuted WITH EVIDENCE anything the merchant said and even caught them with their pants down lying and had evidence they lied. Didn't matter. Chime closed the dispute and the appeal and I NEVER ONCE had the impression that they read or even considered any of my evidence and many, many screenshots. At one point they even had me write out a handwritten letter then never read it or responded to it. They are scum. Not only that but they can't even answer basic questions and problems that arise. Anything that isn't covered or mentioned in the FAQ, good luck with that.

I'm not a big fan of Chime myself personally, and that is ridiculous they made you jump through all those hoops with no resolution or real response. I spend a lot of time in the scams sub and see situations like this across all different banking platforms. It seems that since fraudulent sites and scams are way more prevalent than ever, some banks are changing how they deal with scams. Even my bigger credit union is more strict now on what they will help with and usually unless someone brute forced hacked into your account without your knowledge and took your money it is much more difficult to get your money back if you willingly made the payment. I've been looking into SoFi myself just because it seems they have one of the best interest rates for their savings account. It's not foolproof either, but that's why I use PayPal for most of my online purchases. They work great as an escrow service, but I refuse to keep a lot of money on the account or use PayPal like a bank account.

I'm doing ebay and yes, that would be the dream but ebay and paypal are no longer compatible, ebay requires you have a bank account and the paypal cash card's faux bank account numbers do not work for ebay last i checked though they work for most everything else that requires a bank account.
