It’s a very tough time. Enjoy the memories. Remember when the time is right Buck will steer you to a new Buck. They are only here for a short time because in that time their job is done…that is for you and him to make each other happy.
It's OK to feel so sad. It really hits you sometimes a lot more than you think. Dogs are incredible. It's Ok to take time to feel the sadness. I had to put down my best friend of 17.5 years not that long ago. It still gut punches me every once and a while. You will know if you are ready for another friend, but it's OK if that time is not right now.
Buck looks like the goodest of boys... such smiley eyes. He is clearing looking at someone he loves. So sorry for your loss.. till you meet again, he will be missed.

It is one of the awful things in life that our pets die before us, we take them on knowing that we can’t give them a long enough time so we give them the best time we can while they share their love with us. And when they are gone physically, they still live with us in our hearts and memories. I’m sorry for your loss, the pain won’t go completely but eventually the sorrow becomes a trigger for the remembrance of happier times.
Thank you for all the kind words. My wife and I decided to take a new dog. We will get an English Cocker Spaniel on the 5th of May and his name will be Bobby. We still miss our big friend Buck but we cannot live without a dog. The house feels to empty without a furry friend. All the love is appreciated. Thank you all!!!
