I feel like it would be an unpunishable mess, because your hurtbox wouldn't move

But how cool would a mechanic be where you can move during attacks. Or it could have like a cannon n light where it’s one hit from the pet and then another from the wielder

I’m also thinking it could be like ice climbers from smash where they do the same attacks but you can somehow desync?(im not to familiar with the specifics)

Not a living pet exactly, but I’ve thought a couple times on how cool a puppet could be. Like Kankuro or other puppet shinobi from Naruto. Like, imagine Orb, make it three times larger, give it limbs and attach strings to it, connected to the legends hands/fingertips.

I feel like this would be a ranged grapple weapon. Like you throw the bug and the target is spiked. Command it to bite and they get shaken and it's a reversal
