I think it's about their driving capabilities. You're right, we all age at the same time and have no control over it - but poor eyesight, forgetfulness, slow reaction time, arthritis and general hesitancy strongly corelate with old age.
Or if he's thinking about it deeper - "Old people" lived life on easy mode. The nuclear family was the standard, one salary could easily support a family and buy a house because they had gold/silver backed money, finding a job or starting your own business was exponentially easier, and life in general was more carefree. Now those same people call the younger generations lazy because we aren't progressing as easily. Part of me gets it because they have to be thinking "Just do what I did, it clearly worked". But to have that thought process, you have to be willfully out of touch.

Maga voters are generally white men with no college education. Boomers were / are about half college educated whereas closer to 30% of millennials are. 75% of boomers are white vs closer to 60% of millennials are.
Evangelicals are also much more likely to vote maga, and there are much more evangelical boomers than millennials.
