The stealth is beautiful in that mission. Although I despise one shot one kill straight after that mission because I play on veteran mode and the Ferris wheel part is beyond difficult. More than 30 tries to finally succeed š
I found a really good strat a guy made. In front of the ferris wheel, there's a ticket booth. Go prone inside. For some reason, they can't see you there and grenades can't get inside and don't even damage you even if they're right outside the door. Pretty cool, but every now and then you'll have to shoot the guy that goes in front of you, but he won't see you for a good second so you can shoot.
RAMIREZ, DEFEND THE BURGER TOWN USING YOUR BARE HANDS!!
In all fairness aside, Iād have to say Vendetta from World at War. All Ghillied Up from Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Executive Order from Black Ops 1 are very close though.
Bro literally sent two guys (us and cpl. Dunn) across the street in the middle of a battlefield to get a stingray and take down a damn attack helicopterā ļø
BO1: the mission where you're infiltrating that covert facility in the snowy mountains with Big Eye 6 watching Hudson and the boys. This mission beats the Kowloon mission but that song in Kowloon (called Rooftops) is fucking amazing.
BO2: Playing as Menendez.
Wolverines will always be my favorite mission ever. Having to constantly travel with a squad to take out Russian vehicles and infantry, while also extracting raptor and then protecting burger town! Letās not forget using a cruise missile to take out waves of enemies and then taking out helicopters. I will always remember that mission.
Underrated mission. I think the atmosphere and the environment were set up pretty well for this and contemporary with the global conflict for its time. Great mission to help set the tone of the game.
This is 2 missions fitted into 1!
The first one being just playing the mission as intended and completing it
But the other more fun one is smashing up every single TV in the entire mission no matter if itās broadcasting Al-Asad or not! š¤£
I can't say from all time, they have categories for me, but...
"Epic" mission - Every mission from the MW3 delta force campaign, probably Black Tuesday, all of them are great.
"Emotions" - Final 2 missions of World at War, that dark and brutal feeling of the whole game feels the most here.
"Stealth" - The Hunted from Ghosts
"Vehicle" - Raptors from Ghosts, didn't played CoD3 but it possibly has the best Tank mission due to engine
Cliffhanger from MW2 (2009). Remember they released a game clip of it before release and I was so excited to play it. The stealth with the heartbeat sensor, the explosion to escape, the snowmobile chase/jump. Fantastic mission
The Gulag
I think it's one of their finest missions ever. The cinematics, the atmosphere and the gameplay are balancing so good like that one guy with a big stick on a rope between the towers. It's an academically perfect mission.
1. Amazing design level throughout the whole mission. The developers jumped over their heads. It's very diverse, and it's never boring. I especially loved that part with punishment cells (that dark area) and shower rooms.
2. Intro is just... it beats Hollywood. The aircrafts, military radio chatter, the music. And the pinnacle is the landing of our little bird. I remember my girlfriend was sitting next to me when I was playing it; she said, "*Wow, so epic."* I mean, if that distracted her from her phone, it was good lol.
3. Variety of AI interactions with the environment. If you don't just speedrun the level, you actually see how Soap and others operate throughout the mission. First, they smartly use the utilities. They (but often it's only Soap) use flashbangs before checking the corners. If you just follow him and "play along" with the bots, it gets so immersive. Also, probably you know it already, if you don't pick up the shield, Soap is the one using it, so you can cover behind him safely.
4. A bunch of minor easter eggs. \* They showed Shepherd didn't care much about catching Makarov. His main goal was to win the war. Exactly the reason he started all this was to get a "rematch" after the humiliation in the Middle East (during MW1). \* *Bloody yanks. I thought they were the good guys.* An easter egg who kills Ghost in the future. \* Apparently TF141 doesn't know Soap's moniker. \* Price's iconic 1911 appears. \* Afaik it's the only mission in the whole franchise where your allies react to your death. I certainly remember someone saying "We lost Roach". Possibly mechanically related to the fact that later we get knocked down by a piece of concrete, which is why Soap then notes "Roach is down".
5. It starts with an important briefing. Soap's monologue tells us what exactly happened after MW1. Before in the game, we've got bizarre hints from Shepherd. Apparently, the good side lost the civil war. Hence, we have another hostile Russian state. IW writers either predicted real-life Russian politics or Russia was always like that, which I honestly don't remember. And the background music fits so well.
6. And last but not least, the soundtrack. It may not be "Ezio's theme", but it's the specifics of video game soundtracks. In this mission, the soundtrack comes to the fore and the background accordingly. It doesn't distract you when necessary. But when it comes to "movie" scenes, it takes the throne ā take the little bird landing scene for example. Or the very ending when when we get to the pavelow. The director and sound engineer both did an amazing job. Too bad in the remastered version, they messed with the soundtrack and added a lot of SFX sounds.
Man I wish the original IW developed MW3...
edit: Why do I get inspired to write entire essays when haven't slept for 24 hours
Many choose Wolverines when it comes to US Army Rangers, but I actually enjoyed Of Their Own Accord more! It helps most of the mission occurs indoors, and the starting loadout consists of an M4 w/M203.
Another favorite is Just Like Old Times.
Great mission, the way you start in full control when ambushing the ultra nationalists, then you get pushed back as the smoke and helicopters come in, to the house where you got the C4 wired.
Then when you've withdrawn to the farm at the top of the hill, you now need to push through all the way down to the bottom of the hill, on a TIMER!
The tension in that last bit where you're constantly attacked by never ending waves of enemies and the fact that your only option is to push through them is fantastic. One of the few CoD missions where I always have to give it my all to survive that final push down to the EZ.
Fun Fact: Sledgehammer actually planned making a CoD game fully focused on Vietnam, but it was discarded. Some vietnam missions in cold war are from them because the lead dev changed during dev. cycle of the Cold War
Took me 2-3 hours to figure out that I had to interact with the napalm barrels before beating the mission on veteran. Another 1 or 2 for the whole thing, not including it
CoD3 - the mission defending the hill as the Poles. Absolutely loved the feeling of that mission and then the ending when the Canadians arrive just as you're about to be overrun.
Fantastic mission
looking back on the Marine campaign from COD4 they literally did live up to the title compared to similar missions from the previous COD games set in WWII featuring US troops. things like the present-day (at the time) tech and equipment being used, the scale of the combat. gotta say The Bog and War Pig are up there for me as being like āwow this feels familiar but also itās so cool to be in this century rather than WWIIā
Whiskey Hotel or Of Their Own Accord from MW2, when a game can make me feel patriotic for a country I'm not even from it's a good game. It's also just INSANELY badass
Might be an unpopular pick, but Second Sun from MW2. The entire White House arc in MW2 is perfectly done, and the atmosphere is almost unmatched in the Remaster.
I think this mission and the couple missions right after them EMP nuke go off. To me this was peak Call of Duty Campaign imo. The setting, the vibes, the story all just hit. I liked that feeling of shit hit the fan on our turf, and its raining making it dramatic, its quite, no power so your red dot is off, canāt really tell who are friendly or not at first.
Whatever cod that was where your at the airport and you just destroy hella people thatās a great one
And cod ghost has this mission where it was set in pitch black and nd had to use night vision goggles
Not sure if favourite but The Mace from call of duty 3 is probably one of my most replayed childhood missions.
Defending a strategic hilltop position from overwhelming german forces as undersupported, desperate polish forces, pushed all the way back and thinking its all over. Then you see those flares go up and hear the yell "Its the Canadians!" and they save them. God, still gives me chills even now. Very, very underrated COD IMO, best depiction of the western front in the series.
Eviction from WaW. Pure chaos, fire, smoke, the mucic, war crimes, truly terrifying ambience and the map itself being just scarry plus having Dmitry and Reznov together in a mission is just something else. WaW was the best CoD. Especially the Soviet campaign.
CoD: Modern Warfare - Crew Expendable
CoD: World at War - Downfall
CoD: Modern Warfare 2 - Of Their Own Accord
CoD: Black Ops - Vorkuta
CoD: Modern Warfare 3 - Hunter Killer
CoD: Black Ops 2 - Cordis Die
CoD: Ghosts - Legends Never Die
After Ghosts, I stopped caring about any of the titles.
Anything with a Sniper tbh for me.
Crossing the desert in Egypt or Libya I can't remember which it was in CoD 2 using tanks for cover to get to the trenches to take out artillery crews was really fun. The Silo in the American campaign sniping mortar crews from such an elevated position was really cool too. And of course the classics like Vendetta and All Ghilled up. Though arguably the following mission defending at the Ferris wheel against all odds was even better as it gives you the chills. Like holy shit we're so screwed but you just get out alive.
For me itās in between Crash Site from BO1 and Judgement Day from BO2. The Vorkuta mission from BO1 and the Paris mission from MWIII are honorable mentions of mine.
I do hope the remaster of MW2 campaign is added today on GP, was my fav campaign.
Also hope the main reason for the delay of all the COD games being added was because they were sorting those file sizes out, splitting things up properly so you can download campaigns/special ops without needing MP etc.
Honestly. May get hate for picking a newer Cod, but Iām gonna say āBreak On Throughā from Cold War. (the one with the red door and being able to obey or disobey adler).
Of Their Own Accord will always have the greatest atmosphere of any mission in Call of Duty, along with the dark and depressing tone and the fact that you are fighting a losing fight. Add Second Sun and Whiskey Hotel and you have the greatest missions in COD
RAMIREZ, LAST MAG, TAKE BACK THE WHITE HOUSE ASAP
Fr tho, the whole MW2 Act Three is incredible but if I had to chose then by far Second Sun is my favorite mission. Finally seeing Task Force 141 stuff affect our other protagonist story and the relief I had with Ramirez is just peak CoD imo. And the whole atmosphere is actually pretty scary.
I donāt remember the mission name but itās in CoD Ghosts where the bad guys save Rorke in the airplane & he kicks you out of it into enemy territory (one of the most badass/coolest scenes in Cod campaign history might I add!)
I loved this mission because it was only the 2nd ever mission in CoD history at the time where you could go from start to finish completely in stealth & not get detected (the first ever mission doing this being All Ghlilled up!)
Man I wish they made a Ghosts 2 & completed the story! š WHAT HAPPENS TO LOGAN????? š”š”š”š¤¬š¤¬
The modern warfare 2 mission where you go house to house killing the terrorists while the bearcat follows you. Was a crazy as hell mission and remember struggling a lot as a kid. When we finially finished it it was a sigh of relief
Clean House from MW19. A mission that is so simple, but expertly done. I actually felt like a special forces soldier in the mission.
All Ghilled Up is a masterpiece, but Clean House takes it for me.
I got a few for different categories
Full out attack. Dust to dust
Defending a location. Probably the mission after you capture the wolf
Slow and tactical. Clean house
Sniper type missions. All ghilled up
Fallen Angel from the BO2 Campaing no questions the way you go from a battle to stealth in a matter of 1 minute is very fucking good and also I like how the whole city is flooded. And also I love WMD from CoD BO1 and how it makes an apperance in bo cold war
Seems weird, but El Daba from CoD 2 because when I was little, I played the CoD 2 demo of that mission ALL THE TIME and it stuck with me
Edit: 2nd fav escaping with Reznov
Pretty generic but I gotta say all ghilled up
That sounds familiar. Which game has that mission?
COD4
Ah ok
The stealth is beautiful in that mission. Although I despise one shot one kill straight after that mission because I play on veteran mode and the Ferris wheel part is beyond difficult. More than 30 tries to finally succeed š
I found a really good strat a guy made. In front of the ferris wheel, there's a ticket booth. Go prone inside. For some reason, they can't see you there and grenades can't get inside and don't even damage you even if they're right outside the door. Pretty cool, but every now and then you'll have to shoot the guy that goes in front of you, but he won't see you for a good second so you can shoot.
Itās the franchise favorite for a reason lol. Unless youāre insane then itās āNo Russianā.
Guess I'm insane then š¶
THATS MY FAVORITE
āSlow and steadyā¦. Donāt do anything stupidā
[here's the SFM I made for Vendetta](https://www.reddit.com/r/CallOfDuty/s/cBQ5W0PNKk)
Bro literally sent two guys (us and cpl. Dunn) across the street in the middle of a battlefield to get a stingray and take down a damn attack helicopterā ļø

Absolutely agree on the BO1 missions. Hell, I really think BO1 had the best campaign out of all the cod franchise.
It's a damn good one. I gotta play it again sometime.
Honestly loved WaW, BO1. I loved the setting MW2 had. Fighting on US soil was cool. To be young again and experience it for the first time again
Climbing into the SR-71 in BO1 for the first time was insane
WMD is the mission title
Wolverines will always be my favorite mission ever. Having to constantly travel with a squad to take out Russian vehicles and infantry, while also extracting raptor and then protecting burger town! Letās not forget using a cruise missile to take out waves of enemies and then taking out helicopters. I will always remember that mission.
Ramirez! Ramirez! Ramirez!
Tbh all the Rangers missions in MW2 are great
My favorite is the mission briefing for Wolverines. "Very funny station." "They are EVERYWHERE!" https://youtu.be/cw0cF7icqWA?si=462-Nz-9b9Bczz-n
I am baffled that in the new MW games that they donāt bring back Foley and Ramirez!
RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!
pointe du hoc from cod 2
Finally, a Man of culture
Hill 400 was also a great one
Charlie donāt surf
Underrated mission. I think the atmosphere and the environment were set up pretty well for this and contemporary with the global conflict for its time. Great mission to help set the tone of the game.

Great one
That intro, flying over the coast with the music playing in the backgroundā¦ the atmosphere was absolutely out of this world.
I meanā¦he donāt though š¤·š»āāļø
War pig is also a good one for COD4
I can't say from all time, they have categories for me, but... "Epic" mission - Every mission from the MW3 delta force campaign, probably Black Tuesday, all of them are great. Only after World at War I started understanding what price my ancestors paid for the victory (i am from the post soviet country)
I think you mean "birds of prey" instead of "raptors"
The mission where you take back the White House and light those green flares, to counter sign the Air Force not to strike. Goosebumps
I wanna say itās Whiskey Hotel
I'm pretty sure it is
The soundtrack gives me goosebumps
Dude I feel so fucking patriotic every time the Rangerās theme boots up God bless America
Fkn loved that one
Cliffhanger from MW2 (2009). Remember they released a game clip of it before release and I was so excited to play it. The stealth with the heartbeat sensor, the explosion to escape, the snowmobile chase/jump. Fantastic mission
Loved that mission
Big fan of the Vietnam mission āSOGā in BO1. Edit: Also the rebirth island one too hearin that riff was fkn bad ass while nova 6 popped off.
What mission is this I can't remember
This is my fanart (Sourcefilmaker) of Wolverines! from MW2 2009
Wolverines is a mission that can you everytime play. So its my favorite too.

Favorite part in that entire mission is that guy saying "who's Soap?"
RAMIREZ, TAKE DOWN THAT ENEMY HELICOPTER WITH THIS SLINGSHOT
Many choose Wolverines when it comes to US Army Rangers, but I actually enjoyed Of Their Own Accord more! It helps most of the mission occurs indoors, and the starting loadout consists of an M4 w/M203. Another favorite is Just Like Old Times.
the mission in brazilians favela
Clean house
Heat in CoD 4. Trying to fight my way down that hill in Veteran was brutal, maybe even unfair, but man it was cool
Great mission, the way you start in full control when ambushing the ultra nationalists, then you get pushed back as the smoke and helicopters come in, to the house where you got the C4 wired. Infinite warfare the mission with the first zero G combat and BO2 playing as menendez
MW 2019 Clean House
Battle of Khe Sanh from BO1. Iād love a cod that focuses solely on Vietnam.
Another 1 or 2 for the whole thing, not including it
The AC-130 missions
Fr they're so fun
Clean House and Embassy from MW 2019, Desperate Measures from Black Ops: Cold War, and Prison Break from MW2 2022
No Russian (for dark humour shit, ok? chill), but on serious note, probably fog of war from MW19
Definitely the uprising and prison break with Reznov in Vorkuta!!
Another Brick in the Wall from Cold War.
cod4 all ghillied up
The red door mission in Cold War is really cool
"Whiskey Hotel"
āYOU CANāT KILL ME!ā -Frank Woods The mission that takes place in Vietnam later on in BO1 has got to be my favorite
I believe that oneās called payback
D-Day, WWII
Federation day and the hunted in Ghosts
CoD3 - the mission defending the hill as the Poles. Absolutely loved the feeling of that mission and then the ending when the Canadians arrive just as you're about to be overrun. Fantastic mission
Great mission glad to see some one else old enough to remember the classics.

Might be an unpopular pick, but Second Sun from MW2. The entire White House arc in MW2 is perfectly done, and the atmosphere is almost unmatched in the Remaster.
World at War: "Black Cats"
Desperate Measures
The image is (almost) Wojak material
Red light green light
Cod ghosts the factory mission
Clean house
I think this mission and the couple missions right after them EMP nuke go off. To me this was peak Call of Duty Campaign imo. The setting, the vibes, the story all just hit. I liked that feeling of shit hit the fan on our turf, and its raining making it dramatic, its quite, no power so your red dot is off, canāt really tell who are friendly or not at first.
I liked Clean House (MW2019) obviously, but then also the Skyscraper mission from Ghosts
Am I the jerk if I say my fave mission is "No Russian"? š
No russian. Especially the first part
Clean House is epic imo - when Price says āBravo 6 going darkā I get chills icl
Dust to dust (MW3)
All Ghillied Up.
Whisky hotel
Whatever cod that was where your at the airport and you just destroy hella people thatās a great one And cod ghost has this mission where it was set in pitch black and nd had to use night vision goggles
All Ghillied Up, no contest.
There are so many good ones, but the sniper mission with Reznov in World at War is a pretty damn good one.
Ramirez, do my taxes and fix my car.
Here's some word from it to know. "Remember, No Russian."
This might be one of the most American images ever.
The one in the new MW3 where Ghost and Soap spend the entire time flirting over comms. Alone?
No Russian, the fact that this mission exist shows us that devs had massive balls back in the day now, they cant even do a proper interrogation scene

You should play these: MW2019, (MWII and MWIII suck tbh) Cold War Infinite Warfare
Vendetta from COD WAW
Mile high club from Modern Warfare 4
MW2 Second Sun was the best mission for me.
Retaking whiskey hotel, nothing cooler than seeing the boys still fighting after the whole east coast is overran with reds
Death from above was pretty fun too
Operation Dark Quarry
Anything with a Sniper tbh for me. Crossing the desert in Egypt or Libya I can't remember which it was in CoD 2 using tanks for cover to get to the trenches to take out artillery crews was really fun. The Silo in the American campaign sniping mortar crews from such an elevated position was really cool too. And of course the classics like Vendetta and All Ghilled up. The second-final mission of black ops 3, with Corvis. Such a cool trip once you understand what's going on there (kinda)
On their own accord
Black Tuesday from MW3, Cordis Die from BO2, or Charlie Don't Surf from CoD4
For me itās in between Crash Site from BO1 and Judgement Day from BO2. The Vorkuta mission from BO1 and the Paris mission from MWIII are honorable mentions of mine.
"Fifty thousand people used to live here .... now .. it's a ghost town"
Clean house has to be up there for me
Whiskey Hotel or All Ghillied up, followed up with Blackout and the memory part in Cold War
Vorkuta "This is step one, Secure the Keys!!!"
Red light green light from Cold War for me
I do hope the remaster of MW2 campaign is added today on GP, was my fav campaign. Of Their Own Accord will always have the greatest atmosphere of any mission in Call of Duty, along with the dark and depressing tone and the fact that you are fighting a losing fight. Add Second Sun and Whiskey Hotel and you have the greatest missions in COD

The first frost mission in MW3 where you go down in the chopper at the end
Bro imagine āWolverinesā at night
I'd say bag and drag + Iron lady from MW3
Fallen Angel from the BO2 Campaing no questions the way you go from a battle to stealth in a matter of 1 minute is very fucking good and also I like how the whole city is flooded. And also I love WMD from CoD BO1 and how it makes an apperance in bo cold war
Second Sun. Hands down the greatest mission in all of COD
Bo2 the Vietnam ones are the best
Seems weird, but El Daba from CoD 2 because when I was little, I played the CoD 2 demo of that mission ALL THE TIME and it stuck with me Edit: 2nd fav escaping with Reznov
DEFEND THE BURGUER TOWN š£ļø
No. Russian.
Mine is the one in cod 4 mw where you snipe the guy and basically become a stealth archer from skyrim
Man like all of BO1. What a great fucking campaign
Definitely when you charge the White House
No Russian
Clear house
RAMIREZ! DO EVERYTHING!
JOHNSON PROTECT THE BURGER TOWN š!!!
No russian
big brother
MW2 has a lot of goated missions, especially when you play as Ramirez.
