I have found it not too hard during the week if you email them. Their website sometimes shows no availability but they will often call back with some options
Curado, Asador, Heaney's, Hellenic Eatery, Brother Thai, during the day some great little spots in the Central Market, on the weekend for late breakfast/brunch the farmer's markets. Good recommendations here https://gourmetgorro.blogspot.com/search?updated-max=2023-05-20T08:23:00%2B01:00&max-results=2&reverse-paginate=true&m=1 and https://www.theplatelickedclean.co.uk/
It would help if you shared the type of budget you are looking to spend and possibly the type of cuisine
Any and any.
Pasture is one of my favourite places if you want a really good steak but it’s a bit pricey.
Also very unlikely to get a booking.

Good to know for the future. Thanks!
As an example I tried last Monday at about 2pm for a table that evening and they called me back with three options that they could fit me in

Kindle although by the castle feels like it’s out of the city. Outdoor dining all cooked in wood fired stove. Seasonal food, small plates. It’s epic!
I can also suggest Heaneys and Tom Simmoms pricey, but very nice with great service.
Bacareto - central, small plates, good drinks, relaxed vibe https://gourmetgorro.blogspot.com/2021/09/bacareto-venetian-bar-and-restaurant.html
