Magnetic suspension is great, touch screens not so much...
But when you compare the legendary 2 landcruiser and patrol no matter what side of the fence you sit on, both have no comparison to the cheap Chinese crap.
Now we are just grossly over paying for chinsy models because... reasons?
Look, you pay a decent chunk of change for a 1999 100s landcruiser with 360k on it and it will out last what this thing is.
>I don’t think anyone would pay 150k for a Chinese made car just yet
[The Eletre is $240,000](https://www.lotuscars.com/en-AU/eletre)....people are already past $150,000 on Chinese cars man
>I remember when you could buy a house for 80k
I mean, you still can.... technically speaking

They started making logical market product decisions to become a viable business. It's not exactly madness is it? They are just trying to make money by making cars. Every manufacturer is doing the exact same thing.
a chinese brand car for over $10,000 is always a lols.
they still have a long way to go. always remember, kia and hyundai were shit cars before, but they improved their cars properly and not just with aesthetics.
i agree with this. unless a western brand (apple, etc) is monitoring their production, quality will always be cut to make it cheaper.
same with their cars and other products, cut corners and make it cheaper.
only reason they have the biggest battery production is they were able to monopolize the raw materials early on.
anyways, goodluck on those buyers of chinese cars. i do hope they last or serve your purpose.
lol. No one will buy this. No one. They will sit in dealerships until they get reduced in price to the point they will be a loss for the company. That said, they are trying to corner out vehicle market at the expense of far superior vehicles.

I think people who are happy to pay $150k on a new cruiser or patrol know they are buying good quality vehicles with a proven track record and when you look underneath you SEE good quality steering and suspension components. They have peace of mind that it won’t break at the first sight of any ‘serious’ four-wheel-driving.
That being said, I think if the tank series of Vehicles gets a few years under their belt without breaking down or blowing gearboxes after a few weeks of pulling a Caravan then they will be a force to be reckoned with.
The 300 and 500 are actually quite nice cars to drive. And still very capable off road.
Wonder how much the Yangwang U8 will be?
I doubt the tank700 will get much interest at all in this price range. The 500 will sell on the value proposition and the 300 seems to be an enthusiasts car (based on majority that I have seen have had significant modifications) I don’t see what prestige or capability the 700 has to justify the price.
The 400 looks the most interesting of the range imo and would do better in our market
No, none of them will do "better" in our market because they can't even figure out a decent braking system. Their drivetrain and control system must be 20 years behind.

Chalk n cheese though.

nobody in china would pay 150k for a chinese car, its just absurd
Hongqi L5 is RMB5m (call it $1m).

Same. And going there is as interesting as the story gets until you drive out.
Man what the fuck happened to Lotus...
They started making logical market product decisions to become a viable business. It's not exactly madness is it? They are just trying to make money by making cars. Every manufacturer is doing the exact same thing.
Yeah I get it. It's just disappointing.

Are you implying that is a bad thing? Because making mid engine Ferrari rivaling vehicles seems pretty good to me.
That is ram money, and ram is better.....
A GVM china car for 150K. lmao!!!
Hope the GVM is more practical than the T300.
Omg, it’s horrendous.

Lol

And the Koreans have a much better culture for quality and excellence than the Chinese. The Chinese will never truly compete on quality.

Thats about 140k more than what it's actually worth.
Gonna be a tough sell in what I would expect to be a very niche market.

Pretty little thing, isn’t she?

People are dumb enough to spend that much on land cruisers, so this will eventually sell

Is this that rear wheel lifting meme? It stops better than most of its competitors
Lol yeah sure.
