I would go with the Continental Extreme contacts. I’ve heard nothing but good things about them. I wouldn’t put that first tire on since I’ve never heard of that brand and when it comes to cars (especially performance cars) I’m always on the boat of get good tires since they are the only thing holding you to the road.
Yeah i never heard of that first brand either lol i guess just showing me all options, when i look at the stats on paper though all 3 tires are near identical. I have pirellis on mine now and I wasnt really impressed
Buying crap tires on a performance car is a good way to end up wrecking it. Now whether or not an R/T qualifies as a performance car may be debatable, but I certainly wouldn’t put those no name tires on one.
No i was at the dealership getting a free oil change and they handed me this after saying i needed new tires and here are some options. Where do you suggest i should get the tires?
Also unethical tip with discount tire buy the tire insurance for 20 bucks once your tires hit 4/32 throw a nail on them and they replace them for free just pay the 20 for the insurance again and rinse and repeat. Note: it is not pro rated so as long as you have the insurance they will replace it.
I am a fan of Tire Rack online. Great inventory, cost is good, easy to use and set up install locally for you. Also comes with automatic road insurance.
I currently have p zeros on the challenger and the contis on my benz. Conti's hands down. Much better tire in wet and dry. Fyi id never buy the p zeros again. Terrible tire.
I've heard great things about the conti extremes.
I have been using the perrelli p zero summers, not all seasons, for years and had great performance from them as well. I can't speak for the all season rubber blend.
Don't bother with the cheap ones unless you are planning to burn them off in burnouts.
If you can wait for your dealerships specials, mine does the buy 3 get 1 for $1 or spend $1k get $100 off or whatever. My dealership also price matches tires they carry.
It helps when replacing 305s…
Please check Tire Rack before you buy, especially if you do the bargain purchase. That same Laufenn was on there for $165, I'm pretty sure.
Edited for spelling.
Continentals all the way, especially if you drive in the rain at all. Coming from the P-Zeros, you will notice an immediate improvement.
I got mine from Tire Rack and it was almost $250 cheaper than this.
I roll around on Pirelli P Zero’s at all times. I can’t speak on the continentals but the P Zero is great for grip when drag racing and will let go for drifting with a little weight on the pedal. Try to find them on tirerack.com if you can, I got two sets for the price of one last summer.
I got the continentals last fall and absolutely love them! I can’t recommend them enough. Driving in BC Canada and they’ve been great in all types of weather, haven’t had any issues
Where are you located, and what trim is your Challenger? I'd suggest running Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 if you're looking for a high-performance summer tire. I just put a set on my 21 RT and love em.
Contis by a mile. I had 555 g2 summers that didn’t hook as well as the Contis, and now I can drive in rain without sever puckering going on. Tread wear has been incredible too.
Continental Extreme Contact DWS but if available, get them from Discount Tire with insurance. If they wear out before mileage guarantee, you get prorated on your next set. Also, free repair/replace from road hazards with the insurance. Saves a ton of $ over time. They also do free rotations etc.
Michelin ps4s is what a lot of hellcat owners use before going to drag radials, so I would recommend them. the pzeros are the stock tire on my hellcat.. they are dog crap, most people smoke em out and replace them very quickly

I have the PZeros and they are great but my next set will be the Continentals. A guy I work with has had multiple 392’s and swears by the Pirelli’s with the weather in our state but I would like to try the DWS out of curiosity!
Not a Challenger owner (I’m a Charger owner), but the Continental Extreme Contacts DWS06 are an awesome A/S tire. I had them on my Toyota Corolla Hatchback a few years ago and they kicked ass. I’m sure they’ll do an awesome job on your Challenger if you want to throw down the money for them.
If you have rims you don’t want getting fucked up going to the dealership makes sense, watch out for those scam places like discount tire that can’t mount on rims bigger than 18” without damaging them. Or they might have 1 store in a 50 mile radius that has a special machine for those rims but they won’t tell you that.
I would never buy tires from a dealership. These prices are high. Look at tirerack to get an idea of what’s out there and the cost. I bet you can get into something installed for less than $800 and I would have no trouble buying a tire that wasn’t one of the big brands.
I generally don’t get more than a year on my rear tires whatever brand I use.
No name tire if you are selling it to carvana lol. Surprisingly the dealer came in about $500 cheaper on my truck tires and they were 35s than the tire shop.
I’d say go continentals. I’ve got a ‘22 mustang gt with the pirellis as stock, and they are awful. Once the tread is up I’ll be going continentals as well
i vote for the contis. do note though that they seem to wear out quicker than other brands for some reason. i put them on all my bmws and they don’t last as long as pirelli or michelin for some reason. still love em tho
Go continental they are amazing drove thru a blizzard in a corvette with them. If your not worried about all seasons I strongly recommend the conti sport 02s such a great tire and does pretty good in rain.
I’d go with known brands to start, wide as you can WITHOUT spacers, and go as high a mileage warranty you can get/afford. I‘m rolling Michelin PS all-season and wouldn’t run any other.
1. Be careful at a dealer. They will want to up sell.
2. Is the dealer offering any kind of promotion on tires? By three get one free?
Pirellis suck for grip. Get Continental or Michelin Sport.
Go to Discount Tire. \*I do not work for or own any part of Discount Tire.
I have had a few different tires and by far the Yokohamas have treated me well. They’ve been on for about two years now and have plenty of life in them. If the dealership doesn’t offer checkout discount tire.
I had the Pirelli’s on my Widebody, and I was not a fan in the slightest, especially after replacing them.
On the Pirelli’s I was constantly hearing the tires throw up debris against the car body, especially on lesser used roads and it really started chipping away the paint on the leading edge of the rear finder flairs. I looked this up, but according to most resources this was just a wide body issue. So I just moved on and accepted that I’ll just have to have them repainted every so often, or get some mud flaps. I eventually had a tire get damaged beyond repair, so I just replaced them all with much less expensive BFG g-force comp-2’s. The ride and grip seemed much improved, but that could have been a placebo effect of knowing I was on new tires. What definitely wasn’t subjective, and what actually shocked me was that the road debris noise was completely gone. I even took it to a particularly bad road I knew just to test it out on the drive back from the tire shop… nothing. As another bonus, my mileage improved according to my car by about 1.5 mpg 🤷🏻♂️
Your experience may vary, since you have a narrow body, and I cannot speak on the continental’s or the off brand. I would recommend the tire I got if you are considering others, but mostly I’m just recommending you avoid the Pirelli’s.
Hope this helps.
They Laufenn all the way to the bank if you buy their tires
Continental has a rebate offer on their website for $110 Visa gift card.
Apparently, it's a subsidiary of Hankook. I've never heard of them either and would probably stick with the Continentals.
Buying crap tires on a performance car is a good way to end up wrecking it. Now whether or not an R/T qualifies as a performance car may be debatable, but I certainly wouldn’t put those no name tires on one.
He’ll be aight with normal tires. lol
Normal sure, he doesn't need PS4S or those Contis, but he still shouldn't put no name Chinese junk rubber on his car.
My vote is for the Continentals. But do you have to get them from the dealership? You'd save a few hundred bucks going anywhere else.
No i was at the dealership getting a free oil change and they handed me this after saying i needed new tires and here are some options. Where do you suggest i should get the tires?
I’m a big fan of discount tire. They got quality tires, free rotations and free patching
+1 for discount tire. Had my continentals installed here for cheaper and got some freebies thrown in with it.
If I don’t buy my tires with my wheels when I ordered them online I would have went to discount tires as well.
Ain’t nothing unethical about this, I’d say that you are using the system as it was intended. I do this same thing with my couches 😭
Me too.
Check Sam’s club if you are a member. Great tire prices and warranty
If you have a Costco near you that would be great otherwise a local tire place will probably have better pricing than the dealership
I am a fan of Tire Rack online. Great inventory, cost is good, easy to use and set up install locally for you. Also comes with automatic road insurance.
If your costco has a tire center check them out, they also carry the Michelin Pilot Sport. They have an excellent warranty as well.
Discount Tire. Plus they will offer rotations and repair for free.
Continental
I'd see if they're cheaper at discount tire.
i just looked, one near me has them for $260!
Nice!
It is 2024 and people are still buying tires from the dealership.
*stealership
It's not always more. Bought tires from them several times because they had a buy 3, get 1 free deal. Bottom line is always shop around!
My son has the Continentals on his ‘09 RT and likes them a lot. Great all season tire that grabs good when you get on the gas.
I currently have p zeros on the challenger and the contis on my benz. Conti's hands down. Much better tire in wet and dry. Fyi id never buy the p zeros again. Terrible tire.
Came here to say the same. My challenger came with the p zeros also and they’re shit
I've heard great things about the conti extremes. I have been using the perrelli p zero summers, not all seasons, for years and had great performance from them as well. I can't speak for the all season rubber blend. Don't bother with the cheap ones unless you are planning to burn them off in burnouts.
My car was hella squirelly with the Pirellis. Granted, it was winter, so it was cold and wet, but I switched to the Continental EC and love them.
If you can wait for your dealerships specials, mine does the buy 3 get 1 for $1 or spend $1k get $100 off or whatever. My dealership also price matches tires they carry. It helps when replacing 305s…
I recently got the Continentals on my Charger R/T. Definitely felt the difference over the stock tires. Highly recommend the 3rd option.
The Conti’s by far. Go to TireRack.com. Price includes free shipping to an installer of your choice, in addition to 2 years road hazard.
Extreme Contacts are the way to go. It’s a fantastic tire and they’re not over the top expensive
Please check Tire Rack before you buy, especially if you do the bargain purchase. That same Laufenn was on there for $165, I'm pretty sure. Edited for spelling.
I'd probably visit the tire place k stead of the dealership. You're just asking for a sand covered anal blast
Continentals all the way, especially if you drive in the rain at all. Coming from the P-Zeros, you will notice an immediate improvement. I got mine from Tire Rack and it was almost $250 cheaper than this.
Michelin Pilot Sport 4s
DWS06’s. Or have them order Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S’s or AS
I roll around on Pirelli P Zero’s at all times.
Continental out of those three
I had the extreme contacts and they were awesome tires. Highly recommend
Where are you located, and what trim is your Challenger? I'd suggest running Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 if you're looking for a high-performance summer tire. I just put a set on my 21 RT and love em.
Laufenn is not meant to be a consumer retail tire it is supposed to be a used car tire. Pirelli is trash. The Conti is a good tire.
Note: if you run staggered like I do, mileage is halved. Also note: those tires at 315mm hook absolutely fantastically on street in my scat.
Michelin ps4s is what a lot of hellcat owners use before going to drag radials, so I would recommend them. the pzeros are the stock tire on my hellcat.. they are dog crap, most people smoke em out and replace them very quickly
Get the continentals from Discount Tire and use the rakuten app on your web browser for extra cash back.
Costco or discount tire is the way to go, and personally I’d take Michelin Pilot 4 over any of those. YMMV.
Definitely continental. I have them on my 2013 RT. Pricier but worth it.
I have Continentals on my '24 Malibu. They are some very fucking nice street tires.
These are so expensive, the contis are the best but I've never seen them that high in price
Conti all day. Had p zeros and would not buy again.
Continental are the best ones here by a lot but why all seasons?
I run the Extreme Contacts on my Genesis G90 and really like them

Firehawk Indy 500
I have the PZeros and they are great but my next set will be the Continentals. A guy I work with has had multiple 392’s and swears by the Pirelli’s with the weather in our state but I would like to try the DWS out of curiosity!
None of these are great, tbh, so if it’s an awd go for the all season but if you’re looking for power you’re going to need different tires.
Continental for sure
Not a Challenger owner (I’m a Charger owner), but the Continental Extreme Contacts DWS06 are an awesome A/S tire. I had them on my Toyota Corolla Hatchback a few years ago and they kicked ass. I’m sure they’ll do an awesome job on your Challenger if you want to throw down the money for them.

Continental
I would go to a tire shop
I have the continental extremes on right now. They're great tires
I have the continentals on my 19’ RT, would buy them again hands down
Pirelli makes garbage tires. Go continental. I run the continentals on my modded challenger hellcat and modded m3.
Only decent tire is continental, Michelin is still the best
I’d shop around instead of the dealership for tires. I run all seasons tires (Scorpion Verde) and they’re fine in the snow.
The continentals are a lot but sooo worth it. Invest into tires, trust
Discount tire has basically the same tires for 230… they’re the SRS+ I think
i got some nitto tires from discount tire
I would go with the 2nd best option. Not to cheap, not to pricey. Gotta make them car payments.
No name tire if you are selling it to carvana lol. Surprisingly the dealer came in about $500 cheaper on my truck tires and they were 35s than the tire shop.
I’d say go continentals. I’ve got a ‘22 mustang gt with the pirellis as stock, and they are awful. Once the tread is up I’ll be going continentals as well
The Pirelli tires are crap. And noisy after about 20k miles.
i vote for the contis. do note though that they seem to wear out quicker than other brands for some reason. i put them on all my bmws and they don’t last as long as pirelli or michelin for some reason. still love em tho
Amazon, they sell tires delivered right to your door for half the price ....
I only buy continental rubber for my cars.
P Zero was most of the time default at SRT and Hellcat
I got the Continental Extreme contacts. Great tire and ride.
I have the continentals now and can't say enough good things. I run 315s in the rear and never lose traction
I have had a few different tires and by far the Yokohamas have treated me well. They’ve been on for about two years now and have plenty of life in them. If the dealership doesn’t offer checkout discount tire.

I buy the absolute cheapest tires. $96 at Walmart cheap ass tires. They're not going to last anyways. Lol
