Congratulations! Good to hear a positive closure for an escalation through the grievance channel. I doubt they would have given you Infinia at all, forget about LTF. This is a good result.

kowsikkiko

Did I write Infinia LTF (I meant FYF) The reason for that was some people had the profile(spending, not salary) as me and got their upgrade to infinia last year like this, so maybe I should have asked for it and settled for DCB if they didn't offer infinia (because you never know how HDFC works) Barring the diners club approval rate, [the reward structure is almost the same](https://reddit.com/r/CreditCardsIndia/s/WHyPcJuWyU) as infinia (but half the monthly/daily capping). So I'm happy about it. If I have good spending in any 6 months (more than 8-10L), I will push for Infinia again.

knightwarrior911

Can you please share email id to whom you wrote? I’m not able to locate online, i can just see a form

goofy_goon

I have had Millenia LTF for years with 13L credit limit. I even meet the salary criteria. I've written to the credit card support email for Infinia upgrade at least 3 times in the past 2 years. I've been getting negative news every time.

Important_Health9668

where did you post or email for HDFC grievance? share that as well.

kowsikkiko

[email protected] [email protected] Use any of these two.

The_666Advocate

Sorry for noob questions - What is FYF & LE?

kowsikkiko

FYF - First year free LE - Limit Enhancement LTF - Life time free AF - Annual fee

The_666Advocate

Thx

GarlicRockstar

Am jealous 🫥

kowsikkiko

Don't be, I shared this because others can try the same and to also say that HDFC grievance works.

GarlicRockstar

Just joking dude, I got your point..For me even Pno did not work. You carry some good luck

kowsikkiko

Ah, that sucks. Like I said, it depends on the particular person handling your grievance request, fortunately the one my ticket was assigned to was a good one. Keep trying, push for Infinia and settle for DCB if not offered.

GarlicRockstar

Yeah, In my case they mailed my approval for LE and then went back on their word.. I was done with them.. Hence moved whatever i had with them to idfc who gave me their private version

kowsikkiko

What are the benefits of IDFC private?

GarlicRockstar

No charges at all// Investment management// Complimentary access to stuff

kowsikkiko

That's nice, do they have a CC offering, if yes what are the benefits of that?

GarlicRockstar

They have to offer wealth atleast.. But for me, I had some other issues with their Cc. hence hold none

secretholder1991

Same. I tried for millenia (have salary account with HDFC, with salary definitely higher than required) and they offered me only FYF.

Nerd_Loner_marketer

Congo dude. What's the advantage of DCB?

kowsikkiko

minorbaz

>2% forex with 3.3% reward rate (so 1.3% gains on all forex transactions) With GST, forex charges will be 2.36%. So effective return will be 0.94% However you can register for [Global Value Program](https://offers.smartbuy.hdfcbank.com/offer_details/global-value-program-gvp/19187/Zmykm2o%3D) to earn additional 1% cashback upto ₹1000 per statement cycle. And few more benfits like 500 bonus rewards for first international transaction, ₹2000 Yatra voucher on international spending of 1.5 lakh in a year.

kowsikkiko

Diners has low acceptance and bad forex rates compared to mastercard. I'll probably get a rewarding mastercard if I'm planning to go abroad. I also have a multi currency forex card and a scapia(which has 0% forex). I'll compare and use the best rewarding option.

minorbaz

That's beside the point. I just commented on the reward rate on international transactions. And you don't need to go abroad to have international transactions 😊. I have done quite a few online international transactions, and Diners is an option for most payment gateway. But yeah, for foreign travels, I don't think DCB is a good idea either. Either Visa or Mastercard will have better acceptance. And AFAIK, forex charges are decided by the bank and not the network. Most Indian cashbak/reward cards in India have minimum 2% forex charges +GST, unless we are talking about few premimum cards with hefty fees. Let me know if you come across any.

kowsikkiko

>And you don't need to go abroad to have international transactions Agreed! And I agree with your 'beyond the point' statement too! >And AFAIK, forex charges are decided by the bank and not the network. Forex rates and forex charges are different. Forex rate is the currency value, and forex charge is over and above this conversion (charged by bank). Mastercard has the best conversion, VISA comes next, and diners club is just bad. For eg: Mastercard 1 USD = 82.4 INR VISA 1 USD = 82.5 INR Diners Club 1 USD = 82.8 INR. Numbers are not accurate, they are for representational purposes only. >Most Indian cashback/reward cards in India have minimum 2% forex charges +GST There are many entry level free cards that offer these: Scapia (LTF) gives 0% forex charges but also no rewards IDFC WOW/RBL SAFARI (LTF FD CC) gives 0% forex

minorbaz

Ah. Didn't notice you were talking about forex "rates". Yeah, I agree to your point there. Does any of these cards provide any significant rewards, so that effectively you earn by spending? I know Scapia has no rewards. How about IDFC? Never explored IDFC.

kowsikkiko

Yes IDFC WOW gives 1% rewards over 0% forex markup

minorbaz

Okay. Not bad for LTF. But personal opinion here, DCB is still better than both Scapia and IDFC WOW as you can use earned points to extract more value by transferring to hotel/flight partners. A straight forward example is Accor, where you can get ₹1.8 value per reward point, which would almost double your reward rate.

bestfriendavinash

I also want LE. Can you please share the email address?

credit_savvy

How did you get idfc wealth LTF bro?

kowsikkiko

All IDFC cards are LTF. I applied through the website on a C2C basis(normal flow), and I was offered Wealth. Criteria is most likely: >*>*5L limit on your existing card Good credit score Minimal cibil hits Just make sure the card you're giving for C2C is a good/premium credit card. I think some cards like Fuel cards/entry level cards will give you IDFC Millennia instead.

credit_savvy

Lol they gave me wow. Are you in tier 1 city?

kowsikkiko

Tier 2

credit_savvy

Ok.

kowsikkiko

I spend a lot on my CCs, that might be why I was offered Wealth. You can try to contact their Customer service, as far as I've heard, they have one of the best CS among top banks.

credit_savvy

Yeah spending may be reason. I'll try with cc

deepaknagpal1

How does one apply for C2C and how is it different from normal application, I have Tata Neu Infinity LTF with 3lakh limit. How can I use that to get other premium cards, LTF preferably.

diggee

hey, if you dont mind, what is your monthly in-hand income? I too tried to upgrade my regalia to DCB through my RM, but she said that I dont qualify cos I need to have 1.75LPM in hand income (I am at 1.2LPM). But I am not sure if that should even matter to them cos spend wise I am there already, infact more than there. * My regalia limit is 8L and in the very first year itself I spent 11L+ on that card. DCB only requires annual spends of 5L to waive the fee so from a spending point I am comfortably there * I have had my savings account with HDFC since 13 years, which is also my salary account. Further I have FDs worth 15L in it. So it is not that I dont have a relationship with them outside of the CC. Also, did you go the grievance route cos your RM was unable to help with the upgrade?

kowsikkiko

RMs are not that great at CCs if you're not a HNI. Don't ever go to your RM for CC upgrades/LE. Grievance is the way to go, for your expenses and CC limit, you can easily get DCB FYF with just a couple of mails. But getting it LTF will be tricky, recently HDFC has stopped giving LTF cards easily I'm not sure why tho. I talk to my RM only if I want a loan.

diggee

tbh it is okay if I dont get LTF, my spends will be enough to cover the annual spend requirement.

Kalubhalu

You can get infinia on fd basis

diggee

how dude? who do I have to get in touch with it for that?

Kalubhalu

Branch manager or rm or contact credit card Chennai team

diggee

Bro my RM straight up said that even DCB wont be possible cos my in hand income is very less compared to the requirement.

Kalubhalu

Bro rm in hdfc are assholes ..you can search twitter ..contact branch manager tell them that 11 lakh fd can get you infinia ..or if you are so desperate then contact credit card consultant on twitter ..they will help you but they will charge a fee

diggee

yeah I have sent grievance emails like OP, lets see what happens. It is just that with Regalia I lose out a lot cos my spends are >10L and with DCB/ Infinia I can get so much more with that spend.

Kalubhalu

You can get Amex platinum too ..it gives 7-9 % return plus 1st year free with a referral

Kalubhalu

11 lakh fd gets you infinia..if they are not interested tell them you will shift your fd to another bank

kira2697

What's LE?

timetraveler1990

Limit enhancement

kira2697

Thanks

NobleCaptalist

Can someone please tell me what is the eligibility criteria for DCB LTF credit card?

toharabapu

Hey OP since your upgraded from millenia to dcb. Just wanted a suggestion. If my spends annually are around 3lakh in amazon and fk do you think that dcb would be better or millenia?

kowsikkiko

If you get it for free then DCB

toharabapu

How much cb will dcb give? In amazon and fk.

kowsikkiko

Amazon shopping & flipkart vouchers will get you 10% reward points (4k max per month)

IllustriousNovelty

Is the DCB LTF or FYF ?

[deleted]

What was the usage on your card like? Am thinking of switching salary accounts to hdfc in hope of bumping my dcb up to infinia in the future

kowsikkiko

Back until May, all my spends were on millennia (online) because I didn't have any other cards (other than Amazon Pay). And I spend a lot on smartbuy & gyftr, so flights, online shopping everything went through this. I went abroad for a short while, I did have a forex card for GBP, however I had a stopover in Dubai and I had no other option but to spend around 2L there in Millennia, which I now realise is the reason for meeting the 6L spend criteria in last 6 Months. If your spending is more than 6L in the last 6 months in a HDFC CC and have a limit over 5L, then you can upgrade to DCB FYF. Having a HDFC salary account definitely helps. If you don't have such spends in a HDFC card, then I suggest meeting salary requirements while applying C2C.

bels_nickel

I guess having a salary account with them made the difference in your case. Congratulations!

bels_nickel

I guess having a salary account with them made the difference in your case. Congratulations!

just_zen_wont_do

Congrats. I got this card a few months ago as well. I would say my biggest issue with it is daily and monthly points capping. My big spends are flight tickets and the 5x/10x don’t matter when they cap it to 2500 points per day. Infinia is at 15,000 so they could at least take it to 7500 points.

kowsikkiko

Yeah, the daily capping is a bummer, I have to remember to split the bookings to 15k/day and 45k/cycle.

Koushik5586

I recently asked for DCB via redressal where my current card is an Regalia LTF with 5 Lakh limit but yet HDFC rejected me limit enhancement and card upgrade even though i meet the income criteria. Any idea on what i might be missing? I also have the Tata Neu Infinity LTF. Salary account is HDFC

kowsikkiko

If you meet the income criteria, you can try to get it through your RM or if that doesn't work, just go to the bank in person and submit your upgrade request. Hopefully you'll get it. Like I said, I think it is based on who is handling your grievance ticket.

Koushik5586

Yeah I think the same. Let me retry with a reply email

kowsikkiko

If you reply to the same ticket, it will get assigned to the same person, wait for a while and start a new one.

Koushik5586

Yes will do that. Thanks for the suggestion

Borg_1903

I had the same scenario as you. Applied through grievance redressal for DCB and FYF DCB was approved. Will be getting it in 7 days time.

Borg_1903

I got the DCB FYF recently as well upgrading from Millennia LTF. Do you have any idea if we can get the DCB converted to LTF down the line? When I asked them to make the DCB LTF, they just said that upgraded cards don't get LTF.

kowsikkiko

At the moment, HDFC is outright declining LTF super premium cards to almost everyone. I think most likely everyone who gets this will likely spend 5L annually on this. I will soon try to push for an Infinia upgrade after reaching the spend requirement.

batman008

For LE did you share any income proof? Also how did you contest the initial LE increment of 20k? Reason for asking is I’m stuck with 86k limit while all my other cards have a decent limit

kowsikkiko

Although I did share my payslips, my request for LE was because I really needed it as at one point my outstanding was 70% of the available credit limit.

NobleCaptalist

Can someone please tell me what is the eligibility criteria for DCB LTF credit card?

1100100011

I have a salary account with axis for more than 8 years and the only cc that i have been given is axis flipkart ans that too not ltf

kowsikkiko

Tell them you will move your salary account to HDFC and ask for a good card, if they don't offer, then just do it.

humble-Z

If your salary doesn't match the criteria for DCB. How were you able to get IDFC Wealth ? I thought it was more exclusive.

kowsikkiko

Already explained [here](https://reddit.com/r/CreditCardsIndia/s/dpwc4Yn2Qg)

Weird-Preparation147

I have business regalia currently with limit of 7.7 lac as well as salary account with HDFC that meets requirements for DCB. Also have a FD of 8 lac with them. My usage however is not meeting 5 lac requirement. Is there any way I can get upgrade to DCB metal? I asked my RM, he arranged meeting with some CC guy who straightly refused to upgrade based on spending. I also wrote to grievance redressal who have refused it. Currently have wrote to principal nodal officer. Don't think they would budge, but still I tried. My main frustration was that they are offering DCB to first time customers with similar/lesser salary, then how come they have so much issue upgrading the card. Also I did not ask for LTF, just regular card with fees.

itsvenkyh

Regalia First holder with 2.4L limit, self-employed. I followed this approach, they asked me to mail them some documents and then they will review. (I have other cards like amex gold and Amazon pay icici 5L limit)

kowsikkiko

If you're looking for an upgrade to DCB, you have to first increase your Credit limit, so request that through mail and then apply for DCB, it all depends on your relationship with HDFC and your spending pattern

itsvenkyh

I've been constantly checking if there is LE available. And asked on email as well. Some users suggested to max out the limit to get LE. Has not worked so far. And I have a paid upgrade Option to Millennia since a year, not interested in millennia as current regalia is LTF. My spends vary from month to month, my annual spends on this card 9L+.
