Finally made that dream a reality! Added the ottoman and Lowery workstand recently and I think it's perfect for me! The squishmallows also serve the purposes of arm support and headrests while stitching haha

I got it from a local furniture direct warehouse in my city but the collection is Haisley by Ashley Furniture! It is the chair and ottoman (bought the pieces separately)!
Thanks! It's actually two side table next to each other! I had the smaller one first which was fine until my pets come lay on me and I'm trapped! So I ended up buying another size/style from the same brand that is a much better fit/height for my chair!

Just recently bought this chair at home goods, it turned out to be a recliner and Iāve never been so comfortable stitching! I live in a very small space so itās also my living room technically lol
Awesome buy!! I love when things turn out to be more comfortable than expected. And I know itās already been said, but your matching grime guard is too cute!
I have my stitching chair planned, we just don't have space yet for it.
I will be using my grandparent's antique wingback chair. We need to get it restuffed and recovered, and we need the space. So hopefully, in the next year or 2, I will have my bitchin stitchin chair.
I feel that so much, I live at home rn and I dont have a bitchin stitchin chair cause I dont have room but i move out in a month, and thats some of what im looking most forward to right now!
Absolutely!! This corner of my living room.

My partner made it for me after I showed him the DMC one I'd like to get someday.
[\[PIC\] My partner made me a wooden case!! : r/CrossStitch (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/CrossStitch/comments/18q9bo7/pic_my_partner_made_me_a_wooden_case/)
This is my stitch area. When not stitching, the Lowery stand swings around out of the way. I trade out between needlepoint and cross stitch.
https://preview.redd.it/h7mg4byvc65d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7fb35922519185bab9d3397d278568530ffd2536
I did, but then it suddenly became the most interesting place in the world to my pets š So I sacrificed my nice chair and cushions, and stitch on a wooden chair in the corner. The dogs and cat get the comfy chair with good lighting.
I have my little storage area right next to my couch. So I have everything close if I want to embroider while watching TV.

It's a small expense, but it's the SKĆ DIS board and hooks from Ikea. The wooden box my hoop is in is DRAGAN (But I bought it at a thrift store and not at Ikea). I like this box, I put my embroidery stuff in it and when I want to embroider, I take my hoop and the small section and I'm ready to go! I can even hide coasters in it!

My āstitching nestā in the den/gaming room has a comfy chair and an end table with a door that swings open to hide my stuff when itās time for bed. But I usually end up just loading my stitching onto a tray and carrying it over to the living room so I can watch tv with my husband. The way our house is, the chair doesnāt look right in the living room, and Iām the rare wife who asks her spouse to play video games so he is over in the den! He does on weekends, but weekdays his job involves looking at a computer screen all day. I guess just being passive in front of the tv is more desirable than interacting in a video game.

My place is not exclusively for stitching as I live in 60 square meters apartment, but you can tell it's where I stitch. I also watch tv and play video games in the same spot :D
Very nice!! Your chair looks like it has awesome head support, and I am envious of how much room you have on your table. Youāre wip also looks absolutely beautiful š·

I am working on an Ally Flag for June. I need to keep my feet elevated so this setup works well.
Yes. Got to create a craft room when my oldest moved out. Organizing my space and stuff is almost as fun as stitching.

I am so envious of all the cozy recliners posted here š„² one day!! I also LOVE the stardew valley sprites youāre working on (and the finished sheep!) ā¤ļøš
YOO MY DAUGHTER HAS THE SAME SQUISH! it sits in HER rocking chair, which is beside MY rocking chair, that I have surrounded with plants and a side table to keep my stitching stuff. It faces the TV and the big window with the sunset.
(I'm not home to take a picture.)
I live in a tiny little studio apartment. If I didn't have my husband, the office area that he has claimed would be my stitching spot. Unfortunately, we legit don't have the room, so I stitch on the bed. Our next apartment is bigger and we are taking over that in August. Maybe I can set up a couch spot in the corner and have that be my little spot. :)
Done that once or twice. Only once did it completely vanish. Still canāt find it months after losing it. We have no clue where it went. My thought is quantum displacement. But, ya know.
I once had something similar happen to a pair of tweezers. Dropped it on the floor in a very open and well frequented area and it just disappeared. 10 years later it reappeared in the exact same spot it shouldāve been when I dropped it. So weird.
I find it can be difficult to secure the aida into the hoop, but once I do itās very easy, adjusting the tension and tightening the knob. It also doesnāt feel flimsy at all, so I donāt have any fear when I clamp it into my stand. The square shape is also really nice to use, and I definitely prefer it to the circle. That might just be because I gravitate towards square patterns though.
I have a lowry stand on one side of the couch with a pattern holder, my box of supplies and a bag with my WIP if I need to put it away. Because the Lowry stand is to the side I can just swing it out of the way, so the couch can be used for non-stitching also. The side table is not very efficientā I want to find a skinnier side table that takes up less space and has drawer storage so that I can tuck away my supplies there instead of always having it out
I must ask what is the thing holding your bobbins? I have my own little corner for my projects. I have an old style knitting basket with legs to hold my Wips. I also have a small kitchen organizer with two baskets and a top to hold accessories. Also a small drawer thing to keep the small stuff in.
My big cross stitch projects thread is in a two sided box.
Now my diamond painting stays on a laptop desk and it's stuff is in a box on the table.
Your corner sounds lovely! The thing is an iPad holder, that I had bought intending to use for my iPad, and have now only ever used it to hold up my current WIPās, as well as display needed bobbins.
I recently got a light pad and it came with an easel. The easel is great for holding my tablet when using pattern keeper.
Today I seem to be driving my husband nuts. He is helping me re-bobbinate my floss.
Nice!! Thatās a very fun way to hold up your tablet šØ And thatās super sweet of your husband! I thought taking over so much space would end up driving my partner nuts, but on the contrary, itās just made him want to start stitching himself š
I found it on Amazon! It also has an extra head so you can use it as a phone holder too, but I like having a separate holder for my phone so I can use both at once. Hereās the link https://a.co/d/b5vK5Nx
Im about to! My husband and i are getting our first place soon and we will be using the extra room for my job (im patially wfh) and stitching for me and cosplay for him
I stitch at my computer desk, so it's not exclusively for stitching - I work from home so I'm there all day - but it honestly looks a lot like your photo haha. I have the comfiest desk chair I could find, a light clamped to the desk, WIPs everywhere. I sit there with YouTube playing on my computer stitching away.
The loft in our open-concept home. It started out being my sewing center, but when we closed the back porch in with a dozen windows for a play room for our grands, I moved my sewing to part of that. The loft won the cross-stich by default.
My son and husband just recently started playing Stardew Valley together. They're having a wonderful time bonding over it, and it makes me appreciate your piece even more!
Not just for stitching, but I have a copy holder on a clamp arm, and a 10x magnifier light also on a clamp arm. Both are attached to my work desk, as my office chair is the most comfortable place I have to craft.
I have another magnifier light in my bedroom that can go over my bed.
Itās such a fun pattern to stitch, and so pretty! I have a few other wips, but every time I try to sit down with them, I end up switching them out with the Stardew piece after a few minutes, lol
Thanks so much! š· The thing holding up my current wip and bobbins is a tablet holder from amazon, the phone stand, clamped wip holder, tv tray, and lamp (so freaking bright and amazing) are from Amazon as well. The sewing box is from family. Let me know if you want the link to anything! š
I keep trying to keep my stitching contained.... it keeps escaping, lol.
I currently have 2 areas - 1 in front of the tv, because i like to bring up youtube channels and learn something while i stitch, and one in my exercise room... because HAED makes effin' big pieces.
Mine is my babe cave. Itās a spare bedroom that used to be a TV/game room for our 4 grandsons. Now theyāre grown, itās all mine. The only thing I kept was the big screen. š
Finally made that dream a reality! Added the ottoman and Lowery workstand recently and I think it's perfect for me! The squishmallows also serve the purposes of arm support and headrests while stitching haha https://preview.redd.it/rc4qsdy2y55d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0451e753aecbb834c0e51d063bb2a2cf0411bf43
Love it!!! š And squishmallows make the best cross stitching buddies
They for sure do, a vital component to the cozy vibe!
this is perfect! š
This looks amazing!
I love this chair!! Where did you get it from/what's the name of it?
I got it from a local furniture direct warehouse in my city but the collection is Haisley by Ashley Furniture! It is the chair and ottoman (bought the pieces separately)!
That is a really neat side table/magazine rack (?) !

Just wanted to pop in and say I love the stardew valley rainbow foodies.
Thanks! Iāve been having a lot of fun stitching it. The pattern is from threadxfloss on Etsy
I thought it was a bunch of needle minders at first š my friend loves stardew, I'm going to get this pattern. Thanks!

Wow, he did an amazingly beautiful job! I love everything about it ā¤ļø
The DMC one isn't the best quality, so I think yours is much better!
He's a perfectionist when it comes to woodworking. It's very sturdy and solid wood.
What an heirloom!
I never thought of hanging my floss from my lamp, that's so clever!! Brb, adding giant rings to my next office supply trip. š
Right by the window is the best spot!

Love your set up!! Also very useful, as there have been a few times I stood up without thinking, and walked into my stand, lol
Wow! I love that your magnet is strong enough to hold your scissors! Mine get lost more than Iād like to admit lol
I think the larger needle minders hold the scissors better.
I did, but then it suddenly became the most interesting place in the world to my pets š So I sacrificed my nice chair and cushions, and stitch on a wooden chair in the corner. The dogs and cat get the comfy chair with good lighting.
OK, it's official: I have to buy myself one of these robot-arm-looking thingies that will hold my cross-stitch frame.
My area has grown a bit over the past month after being spoiled on my birthday, but there are no complaints from me, lol.

I hope youāre able to get your little spot in August! Though stitching in bed can be super cosy, as long as you donāt lose a needle, lolš
Done that once or twice. Only once did it completely vanish. Still canāt find it months after losing it. We have no clue where it went. My thought is quantum displacement. But, ya know.

Thanks! Its the large nurge hoop, I found mine on Amazon.

Where di dyou get that clamp for the arm? I cant find any just ones that have phone clamps on them, not one like this.
I found it on Amazon! It also has an extra head so you can use it as a phone holder too, but I like having a separate holder for my phone so I can use both at once. Hereās the link https://a.co/d/b5vK5Nx
I donāt, but thatās a great idea!

Itās such a fun pattern to stitch, and so pretty! I have a few other wips, but every time I try to sit down with them, I end up switching them out with the Stardew piece after a few minutes, lol
Yep
Someday I hope to have a crafting corner! Not doable rnā¦ my house isnāt even close to 1k sqft :ā/
What a sweet set up. Ive always wanted o do this but all my stuff is basically at my computer desk. =D
Iām I need details on this setup! Itās so good
Thanks so much! š· The thing holding up my current wip and bobbins is a tablet holder from amazon, the phone stand, clamped wip holder, tv tray, and lamp (so freaking bright and amazing) are from Amazon as well. The sewing box is from family. Let me know if you want the link to anything! š
God I wish! I still havenāt found a stand that suits my needs and I donāt want to keep buying them :(
I keep trying to keep my stitching contained.... it keeps escaping, lol.
The only thing I kept was the big screen. š
