Finally made that dream a reality! Added the ottoman and Lowery workstand recently and I think it's perfect for me! The squishmallows also serve the purposes of arm support and headrests while stitching haha https://preview.redd.it/rc4qsdy2y55d1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0451e753aecbb834c0e51d063bb2a2cf0411bf43

TheLittlestPumpkin

Love it!!! šŸ˜ And squishmallows make the best cross stitching buddies

radabble

They for sure do, a vital component to the cozy vibe!

rw43

this is perfect! šŸ˜

marloesk

This looks amazing!

FoxaBox

I love this chair!! Where did you get it from/what's the name of it?

radabble

I got it from a local furniture direct warehouse in my city but the collection is Haisley by Ashley Furniture! It is the chair and ottoman (bought the pieces separately)!

wateringplamts

That is a really neat side table/magazine rack (?) !

radabble

Thanks! It's actually two side table next to each other! I had the smaller one first which was fine until my pets come lay on me and I'm trapped! So I ended up buying another size/style from the same brand that is a much better fit/height for my chair! [Here is the link](https://www.google.com/aclk?sa=l&ai=DChcSEwipkdXi-cmGAxUrQf8BHaTuBpkYABAJGgJtZA&ase=2&gclid=CjwKCAjw34qzBhBmEiwAOUQcF9nn4dIu9kbpDZ4OBWZF1nU9zVXJ5hBSB8oAkCSOflnyNgF8tE2TrhoCZjYQAvD_BwE&sph=&sig=AOD64_3_m32gxZ4_i39-9fDSXr4F8PcB8g&ctype=5&q=&nis=6&ved=2ahUKEwj_ssbi-cmGAxXU5ckDHQyhB3IQwg8oAHoECAEQDA&adurl=) if you wanted to check it out!

pericat_

So cute. Do you mind sharing where you got the stand holding your work?

radabble

It's a Lowery stand and I got it online from LoveCrafts! They are UK based so it took a little while for me to get it in the US but their price was great even with shipping added in

kenzib09

Just wanted to pop in and say I love the stardew valley rainbow foodies.

TheLittlestPumpkin

Thanks! Iā€™ve been having a lot of fun stitching it. The pattern is from threadxfloss on Etsy

CoolAndTrustworthy

I thought it was a bunch of needle minders at first šŸ˜… my friend loves stardew, I'm going to get this pattern. Thanks!

I live in a very small space so itā€™s also my living room technically lol

SgtBurpySleeves

I love that the grime guard matches lol

naestse

Can you guess what my favorite color is? Haha

marayalda

Yellow? šŸ¤£ I love the matching vibe, it looks really cute and comfy

TheLittlestPumpkin

Awesome buy!! I love when things turn out to be more comfortable than expected. And I know itā€™s already been said, but your matching grime guard is too cute!

PleaseSendCoffee_

I have my stitching chair planned, we just don't have space yet for it. I will be using my grandparent's antique wingback chair. We need to get it restuffed and recovered, and we need the space. So hopefully, in the next year or 2, I will have my bitchin stitchin chair.

MightyMitos19

Bitchin stitchin chair, omg I'm stealing this haha

PleaseSendCoffee_

Please do!

randomhuman1816

I feel that so much, I live at home rn and I dont have a bitchin stitchin chair cause I dont have room but i move out in a month, and thats some of what im looking most forward to right now!

PleaseSendCoffee_

The chair is also my favorite reading chair when I was a kid, so I'm super excited about making it my own.

pittsburgpam

Absolutely!! This corner of my living room. https://preview.redd.it/w6e299yuf65d1.jpeg?width=5712&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2ae7f8e8a6767a175d568b72139b1c1321d662f1

TheLittlestPumpkin

Looks so comfy! Also love the chest to the left, is that for floss storage?

pittsburgpam

My partner made it for me after I showed him the DMC one I'd like to get someday. [\[PIC\] My partner made me a wooden case!! : r/CrossStitch (reddit.com)](https://www.reddit.com/r/CrossStitch/comments/18q9bo7/pic_my_partner_made_me_a_wooden_case/)

TheLittlestPumpkin

Wow, he did an amazingly beautiful job! I love everything about it ā¤ļø

craftybara

The DMC one isn't the best quality, so I think yours is much better!

pittsburgpam

He's a perfectionist when it comes to woodworking. It's very sturdy and solid wood.

craftybara

What an heirloom!

taniasamhradh

I never thought of hanging my floss from my lamp, that's so clever!! Brb, adding giant rings to my next office supply trip. šŸ˜‚

Klementine22

Right by the window is the best spot!

Quilty79

This is my stitch area. When not stitching, the Lowery stand swings around out of the way. I trade out between needlepoint and cross stitch. https://preview.redd.it/h7mg4byvc65d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7fb35922519185bab9d3397d278568530ffd2536

TheLittlestPumpkin

Love your set up!! Also very useful, as there have been a few times I stood up without thinking, and walked into my stand, lol

naestse

Wow! I love that your magnet is strong enough to hold your scissors! Mine get lost more than Iā€™d like to admit lol

Quilty79

I think the larger needle minders hold the scissors better.

MamaDidntTry

I did, but then it suddenly became the most interesting place in the world to my pets šŸ˜† So I sacrificed my nice chair and cushions, and stitch on a wooden chair in the corner. The dogs and cat get the comfy chair with good lighting.

ConcentrateTrue

OK, it's official: I have to buy myself one of these robot-arm-looking thingies that will hold my cross-stitch frame.

TheLittlestPumpkin

My area has grown a bit over the past month after being spoiled on my birthday, but there are no complaints from me, lol.

MewLalouve

I have my little storage area right next to my couch. So I have everything close if I want to embroider while watching TV. https://preview.redd.it/v7umfsbud85d1.jpeg?width=4224&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=d97f2b27ddbdde3d94290a7144b92efdfa0746ff

TheLittlestPumpkin

Your bobbin holder is to die for!! So visually stimulating šŸ¤©

MewLalouve

It's a small expense, but it's the SKƅDIS board and hooks from Ikea. The wooden box my hoop is in is DRAGAN (But I bought it at a thrift store and not at Ikea). I like this box, I put my embroidery stuff in it and when I want to embroider, I take my hoop and the small section and I'm ready to go! I can even hide coasters in it! https://preview.redd.it/qmz5nficd95d1.jpeg?width=883&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=bcf74a47b42d7a89dcac30edd025aae247968611

craftybara

This is lovely, but please be cautious of moths! They love natural fibres and ate all my yarn.

MewLalouve

With the spider infestation I have at the moment, I think I'll be ok on the moths side. šŸ˜…šŸ¤£

chozopanda

Itā€™s called the corner of my couch šŸ˜‚ but yes I usually have a little pile of supplies and my project over there

Star1412

I wish I did... my apartment's too small for that. Love the Stardew valley patterns!

Legal-Afternoon8087

My ā€œstitching nestā€ in the den/gaming room has a comfy chair and an end table with a door that swings open to hide my stuff when itā€™s time for bed. But I usually end up just loading my stitching onto a tray and carrying it over to the living room so I can watch tv with my husband. The way our house is, the chair doesnā€™t look right in the living room, and Iā€™m the rare wife who asks her spouse to play video games so he is over in the den! He does on weekends, but weekdays his job involves looking at a computer screen all day. I guess just being passive in front of the tv is more desirable than interacting in a video game.

TheLittlestPumpkin

Awesome stitching area!! Looks super comfy, and I love the table holding your floss šŸŒŗ

TheLittlestPumpkin

Very nice!! Your chair looks like it has awesome head support, and I am envious of how much room you have on your table. Youā€™re wip also looks absolutely beautiful šŸŒ·

TheLittlestPumpkin

Awesome set up, and I love your wip!! Your LEGO is fantastic as well!

CJMande

Thanks šŸ˜Š we love displaying our favorite builds.

Luvetc5

Yes. Got to create a craft room when my oldest moved out. Organizing my space and stuff is almost as fun as stitching. https://preview.redd.it/ak2zlcvwz85d1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=88268286a04a4dce080484fed0d17999c13e9a49

TheLittlestPumpkin

Your stitching area is awesome!! šŸ˜ Love the wingback chair, and your wip is also so beautiful

Shunt_The_Rich

What stand is that? I love your stitching setup!

TheLittlestPumpkin

Thank you! The stand has been so freaking nice to use, it saves a lot of strain on my neck and wrists. Itā€™s from Amazon, hereā€™s the link https://a.co/d/cIPZQ3M

katrinitius

Do you happen to use it with a Qsnap? Or know if it will fit?

TheLittlestPumpkin

I havenā€™t used a Q snap with it, but it does open fairly wide. Here is a pic. It probably opens even a little wider than this, but my hands are not strongest. https://preview.redd.it/ee9m9z12f75d1.jpeg?width=3021&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b774d90adde61d0956454d27687bbc339250c7c6

katrinitius

Thanks!!! šŸ¤—

Prestigious_Shoe2507

I need to know as well, please. šŸ„²

MrsTorrance

Stardew crops!!!! Omg are you doing a rainbow arrangement of them?? I am obsessedšŸ¤©šŸ¤©

TheLittlestPumpkin

I am!! I got the pattern from threadxfloss on Etsy, and itā€™s been my favourite to stitch so far

whoreforchalupas

I am so envious of all the cozy recliners posted here šŸ„² one day!! I also LOVE the stardew valley sprites youā€™re working on (and the finished sheep!) ā¤ļøšŸ˜

TheLittlestPumpkin

Thank you!! šŸŒ·

Kpossible4life

Funny I was just whining to myself that I need a stitchy area where I do not have to ā€˜setup and put awayā€™ from the Lroom every stinkin day!

iforgottobuyeggs

YOO MY DAUGHTER HAS THE SAME SQUISH! it sits in HER rocking chair, which is beside MY rocking chair, that I have surrounded with plants and a side table to keep my stitching stuff. It faces the TV and the big window with the sunset. (I'm not home to take a picture.)

TheLittlestPumpkin

Thats too cool!!! Rosie is the best šŸŒŗšŸŒ¼šŸŒ·

Derpipose

I live in a tiny little studio apartment. If I didn't have my husband, the office area that he has claimed would be my stitching spot. Unfortunately, we legit don't have the room, so I stitch on the bed. Our next apartment is bigger and we are taking over that in August. Maybe I can set up a couch spot in the corner and have that be my little spot. :)

TheLittlestPumpkin

I hope youā€™re able to get your little spot in August! Though stitching in bed can be super cosy, as long as you donā€™t lose a needle, lolšŸ˜‹

Derpipose

Done that once or twice. Only once did it completely vanish. Still canā€™t find it months after losing it. We have no clue where it went. My thought is quantum displacement. But, ya know.

TheLittlestPumpkin

I once had something similar happen to a pair of tweezers. Dropped it on the floor in a very open and well frequented area and it just disappeared. 10 years later it reappeared in the exact same spot it shouldā€™ve been when I dropped it. So weird.

katrinitius

Nice set up! What kind of hoop is that?

TheLittlestPumpkin

Thanks! Its the large nurge hoop, I found mine on Amazon.

notA_drone

Do you like it vs. a circle hoop? Any downsides? Iā€™d really like the square shape but havenā€™t tried it yet

TheLittlestPumpkin

I find it can be difficult to secure the aida into the hoop, but once I do itā€™s very easy, adjusting the tension and tightening the knob. It also doesnā€™t feel flimsy at all, so I donā€™t have any fear when I clamp it into my stand. The square shape is also really nice to use, and I definitely prefer it to the circle. That might just be because I gravitate towards square patterns though.

katrinitius

Thanks! Going to look into it

craftybara

Seeing all these lovely pictures makes me feel so happy! Keep them coming everyone šŸ˜šŸ˜šŸ˜

Papageier

*cries in having a small child running around and inspecting everything* I once thought I'd dropped and lost a needle. Fun times searching for it.

Cautious-Bread-9240

This is my dream!!

Cerylys

This is my little space: https://preview.redd.it/0e0djdsx3b5d1.jpeg?width=2448&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4bed6432e23885657bdb6839339156f131dcbe0f

TheLittlestPumpkin

Thatā€™s an awesome space, and your wip is so pretty!! I also love that youā€™re using a music stand to hold your patterns, thatā€™s so smart!

notA_drone

I have a lowry stand on one side of the couch with a pattern holder, my box of supplies and a bag with my WIP if I need to put it away. Because the Lowry stand is to the side I can just swing it out of the way, so the couch can be used for non-stitching also. The side table is not very efficientā€” I want to find a skinnier side table that takes up less space and has drawer storage so that I can tuck away my supplies there instead of always having it out

Cinisajoy2

I must ask what is the thing holding your bobbins? I have my own little corner for my projects. I have an old style knitting basket with legs to hold my Wips. I also have a small kitchen organizer with two baskets and a top to hold accessories. Also a small drawer thing to keep the small stuff in. My big cross stitch projects thread is in a two sided box. Now my diamond painting stays on a laptop desk and it's stuff is in a box on the table.

TheLittlestPumpkin

Your corner sounds lovely! The thing is an iPad holder, that I had bought intending to use for my iPad, and have now only ever used it to hold up my current WIPā€™s, as well as display needed bobbins.

Cinisajoy2

I recently got a light pad and it came with an easel. The easel is great for holding my tablet when using pattern keeper. Today I seem to be driving my husband nuts. He is helping me re-bobbinate my floss.

TheLittlestPumpkin

Nice!! Thatā€™s a very fun way to hold up your tablet šŸŽØ And thatā€™s super sweet of your husband! I thought taking over so much space would end up driving my partner nuts, but on the contrary, itā€™s just made him want to start stitching himself šŸ˜‹

Cinisajoy2

Mine helps me organize stuff especially since he retired.

horsetuna

Where di dyou get that clamp for the arm? I cant find any just ones that have phone clamps on them, not one like this.

TheLittlestPumpkin

I found it on Amazon! It also has an extra head so you can use it as a phone holder too, but I like having a separate holder for my phone so I can use both at once. Hereā€™s the link https://a.co/d/b5vK5Nx

Popcorn_Dinner

I donā€™t, but thatā€™s a great idea!

cclimer

Currently it's just my desk so I can watching something on my computer while stitching, but I'd love to one day have a comfy spot for stitching!

vyxan

Im about to! My husband and i are getting our first place soon and we will be using the extra room for my job (im patially wfh) and stitching for me and cosplay for him

grosselisse

I stitch at my computer desk, so it's not exclusively for stitching - I work from home so I'm there all day - but it honestly looks a lot like your photo haha. I have the comfiest desk chair I could find, a light clamped to the desk, WIPs everywhere. I sit there with YouTube playing on my computer stitching away.

TheLittlestPumpkin

I love playing YouTube as well! A lot of the time Iā€™ll just throw on a video of someone stitching, makes me feel like I have company šŸ˜„

krisefe

I love it! Looks so comfy!

DreamspinnerCheryl

The loft in our open-concept home. It started out being my sewing center, but when we closed the back porch in with a dozen windows for a play room for our grands, I moved my sewing to part of that. The loft won the cross-stich by default.

HawkeyeinDC

No, but that looks so cozy!

pato_CAT

Depending on which WIP I'm working on I'll stitch either in my living room if it's a smaller project or my office if it's a bigger one

No-Purchase9814

No because my home is a little area

Platypunch_

that looks so cozy!

willworkforbrownies

My son and husband just recently started playing Stardew Valley together. They're having a wonderful time bonding over it, and it makes me appreciate your piece even more!

PieMuted6430

Not just for stitching, but I have a copy holder on a clamp arm, and a 10x magnifier light also on a clamp arm. Both are attached to my work desk, as my office chair is the most comfortable place I have to craft. I have another magnifier light in my bedroom that can go over my bed.

SoftestBoygirlAlive

I am stitching this pattern right now too! You have quite a bit done more than I do, it's so encouraging to see! It looks so good!

TheLittlestPumpkin

Itā€™s such a fun pattern to stitch, and so pretty! I have a few other wips, but every time I try to sit down with them, I end up switching them out with the Stardew piece after a few minutes, lol

KMKPF

Yep

BistitchualBeekeeper

Someday I hope to have a crafting corner! Not doable rnā€¦ my house isnā€™t even close to 1k sqft :ā€™/

azurekoi

What a sweet set up. Ive always wanted o do this but all my stuff is basically at my computer desk. =D

Glass-Trick4045

Iā€™m I need details on this setup! Itā€™s so good

TheLittlestPumpkin

Thanks so much! šŸŒ· The thing holding up my current wip and bobbins is a tablet holder from amazon, the phone stand, clamped wip holder, tv tray, and lamp (so freaking bright and amazing) are from Amazon as well. The sewing box is from family. Let me know if you want the link to anything! šŸ˜„

mershelle9

God I wish! I still havenā€™t found a stand that suits my needs and I donā€™t want to keep buying them :(

MareNamedBoogie

I keep trying to keep my stitching contained.... it keeps escaping, lol. I currently have 2 areas - 1 in front of the tv, because i like to bring up youtube channels and learn something while i stitch, and one in my exercise room... because HAED makes effin' big pieces.

FLSandyToes

Mine is my babe cave. Itā€™s a spare bedroom that used to be a TV/game room for our 4 grandsons. Now theyā€™re grown, itā€™s all mine. The only thing I kept was the big screen. šŸ˜€
