Jump on anything higher- it's usually a one day offer & online only, but you can place store pickup orders to avoid shipping!
There's definitely a regional component (especially for US vs. Canada!)- but buying floss online is actually kind of broken 😅 sometimes it just doesn't show up on the site. Try googling 'Michael's DMC '. That usually pops up a direct link & you can see if it'll you add for store pickup. I'm really hoping they sort that out sometime!

Plus I usually buy large amounts and I'd hate to make some employee pick through to find the colours I need lol
It must vary - all the stores around me (metro Detroit) let you place online orders for pickup, with no minimums. I think they even have staff pulling the orders overnight because I've placed orders at midnight (low impulse control at that hour, ha) and gotten an email before the store even opens the next day that the order is ready for pickup!
I swear we just had a sale on them a couple weeks ago.
Not last week, because that was LPOS, but a couple weeks before that because I picked up a couple.
Also, don't forget the constant coupon that got the company sued!
I still find it weird that dmc is from france and the usa pays 50cents(In a sale) for a skein and in the Netherlands I pay around €1.80 when on sales 1.60 if I am very lucky

Have you tried Stitchtastic? It’s online ordering but I get them for about 0.89-0.99p. I went to my local crafts store a few weeks ago and I was shocked by the instore prices!!
I've found lovecrafts is pretty good, especially if you're buying enough to get free delivery. But everything else is definitely pricy: I tend to go for smaller designs but I can imagine trying to kit out large ones would be painful!

I inherited a lot of stashes and precious moments patterns so I have a lot of their flesh tone, eye color, and 434 backstitch brown now. On the other hand I seem to use white almost the instant I buy it.
Any time I go to Walmart they have absolutely no variety of colors 😭 I end up having to go to Joanne’s and last resort michael’s. Last last resort, Amazon

I ordered 20 different colors on Friday and they were in my mailbox on Monday.
