To be honest, my psyker and ogryn are kind of the opposite (I haven't played either class since the update, though, so it might have changed). My ogryn takes up a lot of thinking cause gunlugger or bleed beat stick builds while my smite-ker is my most brain dead build.
I have played with the pickax in the grinder (just bought the 3 flavors from brunt's) so I am very interested.
It definitely depends on your build, for me in general the builds I can make with the Ogryn aren't too complex. Plus as a psyker watching my peril keeps my mind at least 25% occupied at all times.
I got so tired of hearing that max peril sound that I stopped playing psyker until I found out you can reduce the intensity.
I also generally look for the shakiness of the hands.
This sent me into a fit of laughter. I would like to petition that you post a Darktide doodle daily, as a way to cure my crippling depression.

Ima keep it real with you chief, I play psyker the exact same way. Slap on the perk that reduces peril when you kill something, grab a Purgatus staff, hold M2 until poxwalker hoard no longer exists while the rest of your team handle the other half of the fight
Be careful with this one. I read that psyker formula outloud and accidentally exploded someone's head. But he was probably a heretic or something. So I'm sure it's fine.

But sometimes, lotsa them bring out guns and start shootin. Ogryn real big, you know. Gotsta let the little 'uns shoot back. Can protect them then, make sure no ragers get in and start the chopping. Bonk em then real good.
im the exact opposite; Ogryn move feel so varied and versatile but learning which combo string does what moves. Like cleavers can do it all IMO but must be mastered for crushin eritics

Honestly I feel the opposite way. Psyker is really simple and easy for me and then Ogryn is oddly hard to use well for me.

Pysker is actually very very simple spam magic and quelling, infinite toughness from the corresponding talents
