Emulations: 3DS & Sega Consoles (Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast)
Maybe online gaming? Favorite games? Folders to organize games? Upscaling? And the ability to design Delta’s dashboard itself?
Sega will be the next console to come publicly as its already been out in beta for quite some time

imagine gameboy link but you use the apple phone tap feature to connect. They said it was open to developers right?

Unfortunately, that wouldn’t happen with the Switch as they have since gone in a completely different direction business wise.
* No budget Nintendo Selects titles (I think that was the name of the program, it’s been awhile) resulting in spending more money on games that have been out for a while
* No Virtual Console resulting in spending more money by having to perpetually pay for Nintendo Switch Online for many of the same games rather than buying them outright.
* No DS download Play style feature resulting in spending more money by friends in order to play multiplayer
And ironically the DS has so far still sold more units (though the Switch is really catching up). While I love my Switch and the library of games I have for it, Nintendo has really squeezed us this generation.
**Oh, and let’s not forget the Switch tax.
Imo, online play is a pipe dream because it requires someone to pay to host the servers. You can’t keep the app free and introduce online play. However, local multiplayer is definitely possible. Emulation was one of the only things I missed from switching over from Android; now with Delta, I’m just missing local multiplayer. The Delta team is killing it though!
Some sort of ‘power saving mode’ within the app, i’ve noticed the battery consumption especially when it comes to nintendo DS games are pretty significant 😅
Not sure if Delta specifically will implement something like that but iOS 18 is going to include a "game mode" that shuts down all background activity while you're playing a game in order to improve performance and battery life.
This needs to be higher. Delta simply has an amazing UI compared to RetroArch right now. If they added RetroAchievements support I really wouldn’t need RetroArch.
Bringing Bluetooth multiplayer between phones back which I really missed when Delta upgraded from GBA4iOS. I still remember being able to literally trade Pokémon with my little cousin 4 years back. I do remember it being laggy but I chop that up to the crappy 3rd world country wifi we were stuck with than to the app.
Favourites/ability to create lists, like a “Mario” list allowing me to add Bros, World and 64. Just to find games quicker really (I know you can search but lists would be quicker)
Outside of new cores, definitely better file management. I thought the emulator just used the ROMs you link it to, but it actually just makes its own copy of them and stores it in its own files folder. That’d be perfectly fine, apart from the fact that when it copies it, it gives it a random name with numbers and letters, and it’s the same with the battery files. There’s zero indication of what the file you’re looking at is even for. If you wanted to move the battery file to your computer or just make a backup of it, you’d be doing a lot of trial and error to find it.
Well that’s crap, what a waste of space. Should just direct link to actual files.. the files used would be better as just shortcuts if need be to link to the actual rom file used if necessary.
You can by going to settings/controller, select player 2 and then select touch controls. It will keep the skin when Player 1 auto switches to controller.
Some sort of zoom feature. I’m playing this Picross game which is probably fine on a real DS, but it’s unplayable when the screens are scaled down to iPhone size. I’ll love to have a zoom button I can use on the fly to increase the size of the touchscreen.
An option to "Always resume from auto save state" so you never need to fiddle with saving/loading.
Less important but an option to "Always open to last played game" so you can treat Delta like a normal app.
[a LOT of things](https://docs.ignitedemulator.com/release-notes)
my favorites are:
Faster or slower Fast Foward (iirc goes from 10% speed to 800% speed)
Battery Safety (start making autosaves often when low on battery and refuse to play gamed when very low, like 2-5%)
N64 Overscan (see N64 games in 16:9)
Custom app icons
Frameskip for GBA and GBC
Light level for GBA
GBA Accelerometer support (this includes Yoshi's Universal Gravitation (Yoshi's Topsy-Turvy))
GBA rumble
Palette lookup for GBC
SGB borders for GBC
Muting game audio during fast foward
Rewinding
Custom GB palettes
Automatically creates an autosave when exiting thhe app
Pause Menu icons can be rearranged
A way to organise and favourite games
More cores for each console with the ability to choose which one you want to use
A way to use .cht files without manually entering codes which rarely work
And as many consoles as possible
Imagine dosbox being straight forward🤣
-ipad support. I need to be able to fill out the screen
-upscaling for 3D games- or at least filters
-Gecko codes
-full control over screen sizes, placement, aspect ratios and transparency/layering This would be a godsend for some DS games
-online play support
# For specifically skin makers:
1. A menu button shortcut to change skins without going back into the deep main menu, something like: press delta/menu button in game, change skin button there (List out skins based on which platform you are playing).
2. A menu button to show button touch areas (the red squares), also preferably not within the deep menu but on the main menu accessible during game, press menu, troubleshoot button area view mode button.
3. More feature and ability built in to skins such as DS-specific screen area swap buttons, or a general button to swap Dpad to joystick style on the skin directly without going to menu.
4. A way to integrate battery level and clock inside the skin itself in interesting ways and customizable visually.
5. More interactivity possible for skins such as button press image overlays or on/off button state overlays. Would be great to see your skin animated even if it is just a button press image. This can be solved a couple different ways:
- 5.a. The skin base is default and an image vector/png overlay of a pressed state appears whenever buttons are pressed.
- 5.b. The skin base is in an all pressed state and the overlays are actually the non-pressed versions and every press the image is hidden before button release.
- 5.c. Some buttons such as the speed toggle will keep as pressed state overlay before being pressed again to indicate toggle off.
From a skinmaker-hobbyist point of view is very cool and interactive, not to mention adding towards the entertainment of the game other than the actual game emulation itself. Other people will definitely have a lot more ideas on the actual game emulation features.
PS: The easiest to implement is probably point no. 2 since its just an added feature similar to ignite.
Additional Idea: Building on point no. 3, it could be expanded to a quick swap between skin alternate layouts or even different skins. One deltaskin file can have multiple layout versions that are easily toggled with a button/menu option during game time.
Link Cable support, so we can trade pokemon etc. I played a lot of VBA emulation, and we could use filters iirc that made the game look cleaner etc. this would be great for DS titles. Also, if possible some kind of separation of Time with DS emulation, so I don’t have change the time on my phone to change the time in game. Changing the time on your phone seems a little worrisome on my part. I’ve lost a save file somehow to doing this with Pokemon heartgold, while I was in the post game. Was a little disappointed, but I wasn’t enjoying that play though all that much anyways. Would like to see keybinding support for opening cheats faster, along with keybind support for fast emulation hard resets.
Fixing audio sync on DS games… The audio starts fine, but gradually becomes more and more delayed until it skips and becomes synced again. It is quite irritating.
Sega Megadrive/Genesis support would be the top, followed by Master System and Gamegear. I feel that is what most feels to be "missing" rather than something new desirable. Lynx and NeoGeo support would be great too, but not as significant IMO.
In terms of things other than new system support, probably proper iPad support, followed by shaders.
I really wish it didn't need to copy all added roms to its own folder rather than read from the same one it could share with other emulators (lika RA) but I presume that is an iOS issue. That said, I don't know why it has to rename the files so they aren't human readable.
https://preview.redd.it/x2atzbemcr7d1.jpeg?width=750&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=954c7bd56fe0606e94e679438aa787aa950ab83a
I just want Delta support GB Camera like Sameboy emulator 🥲
The ability to more easily preview different skins (like a skin library), and the ability to share skins directly from the UI (like how you can with roms).
Would also love to see the app not crash and become unusable if a rom fails to run in the long-press preview.
Omg trading pokemon!! Wanna introduce my bf to pokemon games and i want him to get the full experience with trading and battling with me, those were my initial experiences that made me fall in love with the social aspect of pokemon.
As far as I know this is actually a result/side effect of the high resolution of phones. The original hardware had lower resolution softening and bleeding the pixel edges.
Light mode, bigger artwork and more eligible titles. As an older person who used to swear by dark mode, I’m starting to need light mode during day time. Also the translucent game titles makes them really hard to see. Having the option of making artwork bigger would also be nice.
Fix the cheatbase before the update that changed the logo my cheatbase worked had all cheats for every game I have now after the update the cheatbase no longer works.
The ability to make folders would be convenient as I like to organise my games in series and genres
I would also love if you added some features from steam overlay, I think having a notes section would be pretty useful for some games and I would love to use it as an opportunity to copy+paste guides so I don’t need to continuously exit back and forth to gamefaqs and so on.
Emulations: 3DS & Sega Consoles (Genesis, Saturn, Dreamcast) Maybe online gaming? Favorite games? Folders to organize games? Upscaling? And the ability to design Delta’s dashboard itself?
3DS would be insane
TOMODACHI LIFE EMULATOR
Folders for sure!
THIS! And wireless multiplayer & voice/chat support.
I thought 3DS was in the works, or is that a rumor?
It is but that’s far away
We NEED 3Ds emulation
3DS can be done with Folium on the app store, genesis is in beta and you can test it out by paying for the patreon.
Yup what he said ps2 dreamcast and xbox support
Sega will be the next console to come publicly as its already been out in beta for quite some time https://preview.redd.it/qwfq8aertz7d1.jpeg?width=1242&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=ee28d3ac5ea46f02784d22c21957c590131e8c95
upscaling
Yes, please for the love of God! I need to play Pokémon at 4K lol
Online play/lobby
imagine gameboy link but you use the apple phone tap feature to connect. They said it was open to developers right? https://preview.redd.it/wujnvgrccq7d1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f6c7662aecb66da30b3362cac05cb4d2e993a3eb
Yes DS have something too
We bringing back PictoChat?!
DS Lite Pictochat with the rainbow ink please!
🤓☝️ Erm, actually, that was DSi exclusive
Yes if you can get Pictochat ROM and Delta is adding online support
I talked more about DS download play I want that on switch Nintendo😭
This would be SICK on the switch
Yeah
Unfortunately, that wouldn’t happen with the Switch as they have since gone in a completely different direction business wise. * No budget Nintendo Selects titles (I think that was the name of the program, it’s been awhile) resulting in spending more money on games that have been out for a while * No Virtual Console resulting in spending more money by having to perpetually pay for Nintendo Switch Online for many of the same games rather than buying them outright. * No DS download Play style feature resulting in spending more money by friends in order to play multiplayer And ironically the DS has so far still sold more units (though the Switch is really catching up). While I love my Switch and the library of games I have for it, Nintendo has really squeezed us this generation. **Oh, and let’s not forget the Switch tax.
I need answers or i won’t sleep… I just need someone to tell me that this is possible
Apple tap is open so yes if Delta want
is that actually possible? that would be crazy. if they could also figure out a way to make local multiplayer work
I would love that , even if it was local
Retroarch has it for home console systems
Imo, online play is a pipe dream because it requires someone to pay to host the servers. You can’t keep the app free and introduce online play. However, local multiplayer is definitely possible. Emulation was one of the only things I missed from switching over from Android; now with Delta, I’m just missing local multiplayer. The Delta team is killing it though!
A good amount of emulators have net play features, it's very popular in the Super Smash Bros Melee community
An updated N64 core
Yes please,.. or the option for users to update their own cores.
Yea re2 on n64 doesn’t work
Some sort of ‘power saving mode’ within the app, i’ve noticed the battery consumption especially when it comes to nintendo DS games are pretty significant 😅
There's no JIT, battery won't improve by much and would it be worth the potential hit to performance?
JIT makes performance faster.
Not sure if Delta specifically will implement something like that but iOS 18 is going to include a "game mode" that shuts down all background activity while you're playing a game in order to improve performance and battery life.
Wireless gaming
Wdym?
I think he means remote play.
Why would you need that?
To play with friends.
Oh , I was thinking streaming from a pc to a lower power device like a iPhone , somthing similar to steam link I would guess
Higher fast forward speeds. Would make shiny hunting so much easier
If there’s not a way to slow down the speed up aswell, I think it’s what 3x speed? I’d love to be able to have the option of 2x as well
It’s 2x already you want 1.5 I guess
Each consoles speed is different I believe, because ds is slower than gba
Especially for DS - I wanna play SoulSilver but it still feels so slow.
Gen IV with no speed up is cruel and unusual
I felt HGSS was fine although it definitely is slower than Emerald The one that is a real problem is DP
I’m almost done with my soul silver play through and playing on 2x speed genuinely feels like normal speed, a 3x/4x speed would go a long way
Dude I temporarily switched to retroarch solely for this game.
They have adjustable speeds in the BETA version. I assume it will be in prod eventually. Works great.
Enter Speed control would be amazing. Da games are super slow and some racing games are awesome played at like .8 speed or to do frame perfect tricks
Retroachievements
This needs to be higher. Delta simply has an amazing UI compared to RetroArch right now. If they added RetroAchievements support I really wouldn’t need RetroArch.
Sorting your games by dragging them
sorting them by putting them in folders
Link cable emulation
Yes let me trade Pokemon..:
"under development" [https://www.reddit.com/r/Delta\_Emulator/comments/1crrfva/read\_this\_before\_posting\_delta\_emulator\_faq/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Delta_Emulator/comments/1crrfva/read_this_before_posting_delta_emulator_faq/)
3Ds is a Must
With actual 3D on the Vision pro version? heck yeah!
Turbo button/autofire
Pause your game and use the “hold button” button Its right there Instant turbo
That just holds the button pressed. What I'm talking about is a function to keep pressing the button repeatedly.
Ah yes so options for the turbo behaviour Yeah thatd be good
3DS, PSP, PSX, Gamecube (i know, JIT), Sega Genesis, Dreamcast, MAME.
Psp is usable with PPSSPP. Psx is available with Gamma.
I know, I have both. But would be nice to have a one stop solution for everything.
[https://www.reddit.com/r/Delta\_Emulator/comments/1d3526q/posting\_because\_i\_havent\_seen\_anyone\_talk\_about/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Delta_Emulator/comments/1d3526q/posting_because_i_havent_seen_anyone_talk_about/)
Why is JIT banned btw Also MAME is badly needed I agree with you
JIT is not “banned”, apple doesn’t allow developers or users to enable it for some dumb security reason.
Wtf even is JIT?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Just-in-time_compilation?wprov=sfti1
fuck that shit its stupid also is there any emulator that can play MAME games
Bringing Bluetooth multiplayer between phones back which I really missed when Delta upgraded from GBA4iOS. I still remember being able to literally trade Pokémon with my little cousin 4 years back. I do remember it being laggy but I chop that up to the crappy 3rd world country wifi we were stuck with than to the app.
This! Would love to be able to locally trade with other phones.
This is what i would like as well. It’s a big bummer not being able to trade. And i want someone to be able to rescue me on pokemon mystery dungeon 😅
It’s something they’ve said they are actively working on for a fixture update. That and iPad support!
Add 3ds games
🤓☝️Actually you meant 3ds emulation
Too late. Nintendo already arrested them
[https://www.reddit.com/r/Delta\_Emulator/comments/1d3526q/posting\_because\_i\_havent\_seen\_anyone\_talk\_about/](https://www.reddit.com/r/Delta_Emulator/comments/1d3526q/posting_because_i_havent_seen_anyone_talk_about/)
3ds, faster speed up on ds
Am I dumb or is there no way to have your clock visible while using the app? Sometimes time flies by and I don’t realize.
Is this a feature or a bug? ;)
Favourites/ability to create lists, like a “Mario” list allowing me to add Bros, World and 64. Just to find games quicker really (I know you can search but lists would be quicker)
Upscaling
We NEED online play. For all over the world!
Skin downloader
RetroAchievements, updated N64 Core, chromecast and airplay instead of just airplay.
More consoles and rewind
Auto load save states
Support for Wired (and wireless adapter) Game Pak connection for GB, GBC, and GBA, and DS wireless connection
This. I dislike having to have multiple copies taking up space but the renaming is the bigger issue. I don't get why.
Well that’s crap, what a waste of space. Should just direct link to actual files.. the files used would be better as just shortcuts if need be to link to the actual rom file used if necessary.
The ability to trade with other people, since people like me play Pokémon
Genesis and iPad support
iPad is coming. It’s in the beta version of the app being tested now
One billion and one tacos upon installing
Taco Bell mod for Delta
Colour correction for gbc games
The ability to keep themes while connecting a controller.
You can by going to settings/controller, select player 2 and then select touch controls. It will keep the skin when Player 1 auto switches to controller.
Multiplayer would be amazing
Support for 3DS
For me it’s online/local multiplayer
The online functionality that everyone is talking about sounds awesome
Some sort of zoom feature. I’m playing this Picross game which is probably fine on a real DS, but it’s unplayable when the screens are scaled down to iPhone size. I’ll love to have a zoom button I can use on the fly to increase the size of the touchscreen.
(If you have an iPhone) check out the zoom in accessibility. I use it for spot checking
This is a lifesaver. Thank you.
Fast forward for DS is pretty slow, maybe speed that up.
multiplayer!
An option to "Always resume from auto save state" so you never need to fiddle with saving/loading. Less important but an option to "Always open to last played game" so you can treat Delta like a normal app.
Local multiplayer. Kind of like the DS or switch
shaders, updated / more cores, swipe control, disable diagonal control
Retro Achivements
Wii support pls
Not happening
No jit, no fun
everything that Ignited has
What like? (Genuine Q, I’ve never used it)
[a LOT of things](https://docs.ignitedemulator.com/release-notes) my favorites are: Faster or slower Fast Foward (iirc goes from 10% speed to 800% speed) Battery Safety (start making autosaves often when low on battery and refuse to play gamed when very low, like 2-5%) N64 Overscan (see N64 games in 16:9) Custom app icons Frameskip for GBA and GBC Light level for GBA GBA Accelerometer support (this includes Yoshi's Universal Gravitation (Yoshi's Topsy-Turvy)) GBA rumble Palette lookup for GBC SGB borders for GBC Muting game audio during fast foward Rewinding Custom GB palettes Automatically creates an autosave when exiting thhe app Pause Menu icons can be rearranged
It’s not very hard to make your own custom app icon on iPhone if you want to. But the rest of the features would be great
Atari support
better n64 core
A way to organise and favourite games More cores for each console with the ability to choose which one you want to use A way to use .cht files without manually entering codes which rarely work And as many consoles as possible Imagine dosbox being straight forward🤣
-ipad support. I need to be able to fill out the screen -upscaling for 3D games- or at least filters -Gecko codes -full control over screen sizes, placement, aspect ratios and transparency/layering This would be a godsend for some DS games -online play support
Gane link feature
A slow down option in addition to speed up. I cannot remember what made me want it, but any quick time events really
Skins when controller connected
Who broke the logo ?
Adobe
Probably gamecube if possible
3ds games and play station games
Retroachevements, 3Ds, sega Dreamcast, Atari, and ps maybe psp
3DS emulation
Fix that logo

An mGBA core! 🙏
Full acreen
Try and emulate ps1
Link Cable support, so we can trade pokemon etc. I played a lot of VBA emulation, and we could use filters iirc that made the game look cleaner etc. this would be great for DS titles. Also, if possible some kind of separation of Time with DS emulation, so I don’t have change the time on my phone to change the time in game. Would like to see keybinding support for opening cheats faster, along with keybind support for fast emulation hard resets.
Slightly ~~between~~ better N64 emulation. Playing Mario Golf and the fairway, roughs, etc... are just black instead of green. EDIT: typo
Fixing audio sync on DS games… The audio starts fine, but gradually becomes more and more delayed until it skips and becomes synced again. It is quite irritating.
Genesis.
For DS to actually work
fix it so we can play nes games on ios 18 beta or support ios 18 beta
The multiplayer capabilities of the games it emulates online
Sega Megadrive/Genesis support would be the top, followed by Master System and Gamegear. I feel that is what most feels to be "missing" rather than something new desirable. iPad
Ps1
iPad full screen support
Being able to trade with yourself
The ability to more easily preview different skins (like a skin library), and the ability to share skins directly from the UI (like how you can with roms). Would also love to see the app not crash and become unusable if a rom fails to run in the long-press preview.
To able to fast forward the gba without opening the menu
Customizable app layout and multiplayer support. Anything else that comes is just a really cool bonus for me but those are the main ones I hope for
RetroAchievements and online availability (I just want trade evolutions)
Online game play which become so long smh 🤦🏽♂️ and it’s already in the beta versions for Patreon users
Would be so sick to trade Pokémon
Online multiplayer. Hosting lobbies.
Omg trading pokemon!! Wanna introduce my bf to pokemon games and i want him to get the full experience with trading and battling with me, those were my initial experiences that made me fall in love with the social aspect of pokemon.
iCloud syncing
Would be great if you improve the graphics, mainly on gb, gbc, gba and nds, I mean, seems too much pixelated. An update is coming?
As far as I know this is actually a result/side effect of the high resolution of phones. The original hardware had lower resolution softening and bleeding the pixel edges.
Light mode, bigger artwork and more eligible titles. As an older person who used to swear by dark mode, I’m starting to need light mode during day time. Also the translucent game titles makes them really hard to see. Having the option of making artwork bigger would also be nice.
Rewind time
3DS support 🥹
A sensitivity input on the joystick controllers. Some games like GoldenEye007 on the N64 are unplayable.
Battery saving
Rewind
Options for scan lines. I don’t want to download skins, I just want it as an option.
ipad support
New logo 😅
Organizing games into folders
Better optimization and optimization options and filters
Fix the cheatbase before the update that changed the logo my cheatbase worked had all cheats for every game I have now after the update the cheatbase no longer works.
Rewind
Turbo button
3DS emulation
Adding a PS2 emu!
Wii games
Much higher fast forward speeds pls
3ds games and maybe some online play. also an optimized ipad app would be cool
Better N64 support, the current core for N64 games is absolutely horrible
The ability to make folders would be convenient as I like to organise my games in series and genres I would also love if you added some features from steam overlay, I think having a notes section would be pretty useful for some games and I would love to use it as an opportunity to copy+paste guides so I don’t need to continuously exit back and forth to gamefaqs and so on.
I just want 3DS and Switch emulation- of course the latter is never happening 😭
The ability to have a configuration for each game based upon button pressed
more cores, including PS1
Better N64 Cores to play N64 Games better with less issues
3ds 😭😭
3DS emulation, I’ll love to play Pokémon x and Y
None. It's good as is.
GBA online play for my iOS siblings, y'all deserve to play amazing mirror together.
