Even nastier when you realize it's not just 1-2 Punch and Trench Barrel.
It's 1-2 Punch, Trench Barrel, *and* Controlled Burst. All in one.
Shit's fuckin fire.
I know I have a Gjallarsword Ergo Sum that pairs real nicely with my Frenzy/B&S Falling Guillotine. That big chucklefuck at the beginning of Warlord's Ruin was *not* ready for my stab-happy ass.
Imma have to try Bastion + Wishful Ignorance.
It's pretty fun, definitely more useful in a fireteam as opposed to solo though, the first boss in Warlord's is great with a full fire team because you get your melee back *hella* fast if everyone's whaling on him with swords and you have BoW rolling at max stacks (which is still insanely easy post-nerf).
BoW was only nerfed with Synthoceps and Wormgods equipped and only for its damage boosting portions. If your not using either your still getting its full melee boosting effect.
Probably? BoW's behavior hasn't really ever refunded melee energy at the rate Ignorance hands it back to you, though. And it definitely hasn't ever stacked damage on successive hits, IIRC.
I think they nerfed it because it was oppressive in the base kit, but they wanted to give people an avenue to *have* that power level, just at the expense of your exotic armor slot.
BoW only refunds melee energy with Wishful Ignorance though. Its Into the Fray that provides melee regen, which was also nerfed from 400% to 300% melee regen with TFS.
Wishful Ignorance's melee regen is quite a great deal stronger than Into The Fray in a vacuum, especially when you have 5 teammates around you receiving the BoW pulse. Combine that with Invigoration+Absolution and you've got some gnarly melee regen/uptme.
Wishful Ignorance's melee regen ***combined*** with Into the Frays melee regen is insane though. I assume that that might be possibly the reason why Into the Fray was nerfed.
Wishful ignorance does like no damage compared to wormgod caress . It’s good in base level content only for ad clear imo . If you aren’t healing allies you don’t get your melees back
Frenzy / whirlwind blade is even better if you can get it since Wolfpack rounds proc it faster and at max it’s something like 50% damage buff with no need to re-proc B&S.
Oh nice. I know it was on their to-do list with Kvostov and Red Death but I didn't know they didn't "fix" it yet. Or maybe they just fucked up on the fix in typical bungie fashion.
I got the wolf pack rounds/gally perks on a very early roll of ergo sum I haven't actually used it yet. I couldn't wrap my head around the use case (long time player with some decent experience but I sometimes struggle with figuring out how to use stuff to the best use) I don't really use swords massively outside specific instances but your saying it's a good roll?
Really just good for Crota and the first Salvation boss. Heavy swing to proc wolfpack for you and your team and go to town with the legendary sword of your choice. I just did 8.2M on a Crota LFG with aggressive WP Ergo, Frenzy/ Surrounded FG and star eater Gathering Storm.
It's keeping up with Still Hunt (on non Hunters at least) and doesn't require precision. But it obviously requires close range
It's nutty. You could do like 50% of Grasp Ogre Boss health with matching Surges with it lol
Y'all really gotta use it with prismatic smoke bomb for the Radiant+Weaken combo. It's unfuckinbelievable how heavily it chunks bosses and mini bosses, the only things not getting melted by it are the subjugators due to their shieldhealth, and raid bosses. One radiant smoke bomb is like a 30% base DMG increase vs a single enemy. No idea how much the 1-2p increase on Bastion but it's definitely stacking.
Also pretty good for damage with transcendence to keep the trench barrel buff going. Could be the titan special weapon dps thing with a BoW titan as they’ll be able to swap between pretty well.
Also great with a strandlock or prismatic warlock due to arcane needle
Ordered from most to least interesting (in my opinion), there's Bastion that got a rework, Necrochasm got a different catalyst from the one it had, Final Warning got a catalyst, Tessallation got a catalyst, DMT got somewhat of a buff, Tarrabah got a fix so it doesn't reset from grabbing stuff, Rat King has a way better recoil animation. Possibly more but I don't remember.
Final Warning exotic sidearm got a catalyst with the Final Shape that makes an already sick weapon even more insane.
Hitting marked targets boosts damage and refunds ammo.
Also with the Final Shape, the void exotic LMG Deterministic Chaos has had it's volatile and weaken shot reversed and is now intrinsically Barrier Piercing.
Necrocasm got the catalyst reworked into a cracked version of One For All. Haven't tried it in PvP yet but it's super easy to proc off a thrall explosion, which also procs Desperation. Thing is incredible in Dual Destiny.
K-boy I can understand. But I tried the Red Death out and it’s… okay. Like okay at best.
I already have weapons that have heal-clip which is basically what this gun does, just with a reload. The benefit of doing more damage when you’re low health is cool and all, but that’s a situational perk that kinda just helps you secure that kill so you can start regenerating HP. If you’re running anything that can heal you (like Devour) then the gun just kinda feels like a mildly better version of Heal-Clip. I would rather have my exotic be used for something that will help with add clear or boss damage.
Imo it’s the best, smoothest feeling and handling pulse in the game with a superior version of heal clip and a damage perk and a reload perk, it’s insanely good (and I clear adds and do dps better with a call and a legendary god roll MG/RL)
I mean, to each their own, I just found it to be a fun that I used for maybe one mission and then went with different options and had better experiences.
As for damage perk, you can get heal-clip incandescent which is basically better across the board.
Maybe I’m crazy but I just don’t like heal clip that much, I have the lunas god roll for example and it’s quite annoying to actually get heal clip to proc with how abysmal the reload speed is on the gun, and I feel that way about basically everything I’ve tried it on, and I’m just bored with incandescent atp I’ve been using it nonstop since s17 (since release really if you count sunshot)
Pretty much. I gave it a go and it's pretty good, but I just don't have a place to use it where I wouldn't use khvostov. Maybe in a season where ARs get anti-champ mods it'll shine in cqc
Actually, upon re-testing some stuff, it turns out that my numbers were wrong, without the buff, Cerberus does actually do a bit more than twice as much damage as legendary autos before the buff, at the cost of requiring you to be fairly close to hit all your shots. My previous statement was actually *lower* than what it is, assuming I didn't fuck up testing somewhere.
First off, it's important to point out that Cerberus+1 has *inverse* damage scaling, which is really weird. You do your maximum damage per-shot in a sweet spot between 20-50 meters from your target, but this is just to balance out the fact that the spread itself is unlikely to hit more than one or two shots, you still want to be getting closer to your target to maximize your damage. The below tests were performed with no damage buffs and were tested on Carl body shots.
* Halfdan-D was chosen as the control, as it's also a kinetic 360 auto rifle and therefore the most comparable weapon. Body shots against Carl did 1401 damage.
* Cerberus+1 without the Focused Fire buff does a range of 744-894 damage per bullet, going from point blank at the lowest and maxing out in the 20-50m sweet zone. If you land all 4 shots, that gives you a maximum damage range of 2976-3576, which comes out to about a 112-155% increased damage over Halfdan-D.
* Once you trigger Focused Fire, you do a range of 1116-1340 damage, for a maximum range of 4464-5360 damage on landing all 4 shots, which is made much easier by the tight spread. This is an increase of 50%.
So tl;dr Cerberus+1 by default does about 2.5x as much damage as a comparable legendary weapon, and with the buff that goes up to about 3.8x damage. It hits like a *truck*.
No, it deals about half to two thirds damage per bullet, but you fire 4 bullets at once so your per shot damage is over 100% more damage. And that's before focused fire.
It refreshes itself, and you can cancel it early by pressing alt fire again. This is nice because activating the perk FILLS the magazine, so if you're getting low, deactivate the buff, get a kill, reactivate for full ammo. Oh, and you get about 8 seconds to trigger the perk after a kill.
I remember timing the alternate fire mode with Actium before the rework. Because it maintained a large mag with drastically reduced fire rate it was something stupid like two and a half minutes of non-stop firing before it had to reload.
I'm gonna give this try now! Thanks for letting us know, in exchange how about i spread the good word of Coldheart, it's really good. Especially now with prismatic and stuff you can get some crazy ability regeneration, also I'm pretty sure Ager's scepter got a tinge of the stasis damage buffs making it super lethal. (Both work great with the artifact perks btw)
For me, it's still missing synergy with other stuff in D2.
Would be totally awesome, if the shotgun mode would work with "No Backup Plans" than we're talking!
Assuming it doesn't already, as I haven't tested it :D
Thr issue with that is khvostov exists, is better at add clear and doesn't need you to be danger close to use. Which is very good because prismatic can only really heal from orbs in hard content
It is great! I used it extensively in the legendary campaign in combination with devour ability. Really felt like an automatic shotgun. Made add clearing really fun!
It is SO MUCH FUN combo'd with War Rig. Just the ultimate lawnmower gun.
Full auto shotgun goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Cebby instantly went from a vault trinket to a legitimate choice.
It's like how no one is talking about the bastion rework either, after a melee, it essentially gives it trench while also giving a 1 2 punch effect after landing most pellets
Was my main going through the entire legend campaign. One of my favs but kvostov has outshined it even with its buff.
The focus fire without lowering firerate definitely shreds though.
Only complaint is thay you can hold reload to deactivate focus fire. Why would this be an option?
The issue is that khvostov and many other auto rifles (EVEN LEGENDARIES) are way more fun than Cerberus. I'd never use it even if it was the #1 meta PvE primary.
As a fellow member of the Cerberus cult, I will take any opportunity to talk about this lovely piece of scrap. It was my most used gun in both PvP and PvE before the update, and its only more certain to remain that way after. As much as I liked the permanent uptime of 90% bonus damage on the old catalyst, I'll gladly accept the kill requirement if it means I keep the range and RoF now.
You mean to tell me that, on top of everything, its alt mode now fires at 360 RPM on top of it.
BUNGIE. WHAT THE ACTUAL *FUCK* YALL!?
Edited because numbers are hard.
Yeah. Was changed to require a kill to start so that it's not broken in PvP. It's definitely good but still doesn't touch the primary top dogs (lol) like khvostov, vex, and somewhat red death(red death isn't super powerful but just great survivability)
used this a bit during the legendary campaign and it absolutely shreds. I should try it again in place of my current Khostov build to see how it feels with prismatic now that I know what I'm doing. thanks!
oh the catalyst makes it whenever you get a kill you hold reload and you get increased damage and tighter spread that refreshes on kills, basically kill clip on steroids.
There’s more sand box changes than I thought. Just yesterday I saw a video on how broken bastion is now that it has both trench barrel and one two punch with different names. Absolutely an amazing combo with liars handshake. Oh btw it’s old trench barrel and I’m assuming old one two punch!
The rework nerfed everything for Behemoth. No overshield, less DR with ramp up, a shard generation cooldown so strict a glacier nade is enough, more fragments needed, but no more slots, cannot use slide melee during glacial quake, shatter damage was increased, not crystal shattering which is 90% of Behemoth, so a buff to the others mostly and the only thing that got better on Behemoth. I do believe you're objectively wrong on Stasis titan.
It never did. Even before TFS the melee energy from shards got nerfed with the mod changes about generating ability energy according to length of cooldown on each ability. The hunter exotic Renewal Grasp got their duskfield cooldown nerf reverted and their super got buffed, but in general, no you're still wrong. Stasis was underpowered before TFS and got taken out of the freezer and put into the desert after.
I’ve used this fun a grand total of once since finishing the catalyst… many many years ago. Used it to get my first ghost medal in pvp and haven’t touched it since
May I also mention the Exotic legs Promethium Spur? They reworked it, now it doesn't just cast a comb rift.
In short what it does is grant rift energy on solar weapon kill, solar weapon kills inside a rift grant more energy
Killing an enemy in a rift with full rift energy spawns a combination rift at the targets location
(Which has the full benefit of both rift types iirc)
And Daybreak kills also spawn rifts so that's cool
Its a decent exotic now
Crazy how the rework was literally adding a damage buff and timer to the alt fire mode, and it's a monster now. Such a simple change took that gun from dust collector to a hidden gem of a weapon. I run Warlock, so that damage boost matches my Devour time.
yeah im impressed how one little change can make a gun from meh to amazing
and i run it with unbreakable with icefall mantle for that juggernaut playstyle
- It doesn't regen Transcendence as fast as thought or fast enough to warrant it over any Lucky Pants Handcanon/Outbreak/Thorn w Necrotic Grips/Khovostov
- It's 90% damage increase is mitigated vs bosses/Minibosses or tankier enemies thanks to the Kinetic bonus removal. So it's very much worse than what it was vs bosses/champs
- It's base range is still pretty low compared to something like Vex/Khovostov/Quicksilver Storm
- Its timer is far too low even with the bonus compared to the constant burst fire you used to have. Paired with its rate of fire it's ad killing speed is pretty low compared to well ALOT of primaries.
- Most of the time you are not going to hit all the pellets on a target to reap the maximum damage benefit from the alt fire.
It is rightfully slept on. Still needs buffs to be competitive in PvE in the current sandbox. It in a way reaps from too much success because although it can hit like a truck it's still too nuanced to be competitively useful.
nah go with icefall with unbreakable for that juggernaut like experience
and have a void subclass in PVE with devour to reduce the cooldown of your grenade for unbreakable
Your title says "I can't believe no one is talking about how much cerberus+1 is after the catalyst rework".
I was just joking around, as if you were talking about how much it costs. 😅
Biggest issue with it is that single target damage guns just aren't very useful in terms of efficiency. I'm not saying they don't work with any builds, but not having AoE perks on a primary doesn't feel as good. Though they are more useful in GMs and slower paced stuff where you're not getting a bunch of multikills anyway from AoE perks.
E- lol, I never once said kinetics weren't good at all and obviously they're more relevant than ever this season. There are plenty of kinetics that have good AoE perks and ad clear which are far more efficient than single target damage guns.
So much new shit I totally forgot about this change. I’ll try it out. Sounds fun!
Is there any other reworked weapons? I didn’t even know Cerberus got a rework
Throw on Bastion! It got basically one-two punch and trench barrel with light fall. Nasty for melee builds
Even nastier when you realize it's not just 1-2 Punch and Trench Barrel. It's 1-2 Punch, Trench Barrel, *and* Controlled Burst. All in one. Shit's fuckin fire.
This and Wishful Ignorance are *killing it* against dungeon bosses at the very least.

Am I the only one convinced they only nerfed BoW to move its pre-nerf state over to Wishful Ignorance?
BoW was only nerfed with Synthoceps and Wormgods equipped and only for its damage boosting portions. If your not using either your still getting its full melee boosting effect.
Oh word? That explains why Wishful Ignorance absolutely fucks lol

I see.
They patched that. Apparently it wasn't an intentional interaction which is wild since it's the only thing that made whirlwind viable.
I can confirm this was not patched, as I just tried it to see if you were speaking the truth.
Try the new Titan chest piece with 20 loaded rockets on grand overture, the melt is even more crazy imo for that boss
I was wondering how good the combo is for a solo dps phase. Gonna have to try it
This sounds...really good for 2nd encounter of se....
:)
Very fun on punch hunter.
It's keeping up with Still Hunt (on non Hunters at least) and doesn't require precision. But it obviously requires close range It's nutty. You could do like 50% of Grasp Ogre Boss health with matching Surges with it lol
Doesn’t event need close range, more about medium with ranged melees working great for it
Man I remember being excited about bastion, then I forgot when all the new shinies dropped. Gonna get it on the punch boy.
Too bad One-Two Punch doesn’t work on ranged melees (AKA every single warlock melee except for chain lightning)
The crazy thing is that it’s not 1-2 punch, it has a longer time. It can be paired with peregrine greaves
I just wish bastion worked on ranged melees
Not reworked, but acrius is putting out heavy dps with song of flame (yes it procs melee perks)
Necrocasm got the catalyst reworked into a cracked version of One For All. Haven't tried it in PvP yet but it's super easy to proc off a thrall explosion, which also procs Desperation. Thing is incredible in Dual Destiny.
No fun, only grinding.
No one is talking about nothin because of Khvostov and Red death lol
Been waiting since launch for them to bring it back, wished it was sooner
yeah true
K-boy I can understand. But I tried the Red Death out and it’s… okay. Like okay at best. I already have weapons that have heal-clip which is basically what this gun does, just with a reload. Agers scepter all day
Imo it’s the best, smoothest feeling and handling pulse in the game with a superior version of heal clip and a damage perk and a reload perk, it’s insanely good (and I clear adds and do dps better with a call and a legendary god roll MG/RL)
90% dmg increase? Surely that is wrong? Insane if not
I could've sworn it was 50%, 90% seems too high
It's 90% of the base dmg, and the base dmg always felt like it was shooting bubbles to me
Once you understand the spread the base damage shredded guardians.
The least accurate gun is the best pvp gun in my opinion
It's 60%, but it also does at base 60% more than other kinetic autos. And this was against Carl, so I'm not counting the exotic red bar bonus.
wait really?
Actually, upon re-testing some stuff, it turns out that my numbers were wrong, without the buff, Cerberus does actually do a bit more than twice as much damage as legendary autos before the buff, at the cost of requiring you to be fairly close to hit all your shots. My previous statement was actually *lower* than what it is, assuming I didn't fuck up testing somewhere. This is an increase of 50%. So tl;dr Cerberus+1 by default does about 2.5x as much damage as a comparable legendary weapon, and with the buff that goes up to about 3.8x damage. It hits like a *truck*.
ah so it does 50% increased damage per pellet effectively making it deal 90% or so more damage if you land all shots?
No, it deals about half to two thirds damage per bullet, but you fire 4 bullets at once so your per shot damage is over 100% more damage. And that's before focused fire.
oooh gotcha, but I mean with focus fire active do you do 50% more damage or 90% more damage.
Reread what I said, I already answered that.
I think the numbers have OP lost in the sauce.
so its 200% more damage?
Light.gg states it's a 91% damage boost. Might need to see a side by side damage comparison, but that's kinda hard with the default shot spread.
Does the timer refresh itself or do you have to hold reload again?
Itself
No fucking way. If that's true, it'll be insane.
Thow on actium war rig....never reload again permanent damge increase....hmmmmmmmm
I remember timing the alternate fire mode with Actium before the rework. Because it maintained a large mag with drastically reduced fire rate it was something stupid like two and a half minutes of non-stop firing before it had to reload.
Firing a grand total of 35 bullets
EXCUSE. ME. Damn, I should probably shake the ten layers of dust off of my Cerberus, huh?
I'm gonna give this try now! Thanks for letting us know, in exchange how about i spread the good word of Coldheart, it's really good. Especially now with prismatic and stuff you can get some crazy ability regeneration, also I'm pretty sure Ager's scepter got a tinge of the stasis damage buffs making it super lethal. (Both work great with the artifact perks btw)
As if Ager's needed a buff, good god.
Look anything that makes stasis better is needed, even it's own outliers lol
Understandable and agreed. Now if only they'd make Winter's Shroud a dodge variant and give Revenant a better aspect in its place.
both are good
Are you sure it’s 90%? That sounds mad
it basically becomes a shotgun
this
Holycrap that does sound good.
For me, it's still missing synergy with other stuff in D2. Would be totally awesome, if the shotgun mode would work with "No Backup Plans" than we're talking! Assuming it doesn't already, as I haven't tested it :D
I'd say it's definitely a good weapon to run with Prismatic, you build trancendence with it super quick
Actium Rig would make it interesting ...
Definitely, especially if you haven't got the hang of the sweet business' "feathering the spin"
Thr issue with that is khvostov exists, is better at add clear and doesn't need you to be danger close to use. Which is very good because prismatic can only really heal from orbs in hard content
Things can be objectively less effective and still be fun.
It's a great PvP gun, but yeah, limited use in PvE, especially with Khvostov around.
Shhhh you'll let the surprise out! It was catching people way off guard the past few weeks in comp. It's honestly so fun as a change of pace.
yeah true true
It is great! I used it extensively in the legendary campaign in combination with devour ability. Really felt like an automatic shotgun. Made add clearing really fun!
It is SO MUCH FUN combo'd with War Rig. Just the ultimate lawnmower gun. Full auto shotgun goes BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR. Cebby instantly went from a vault trinket to a legitimate choice.

Whaaaaaaaat
This is my all time favorite exotic, and that’s from when it SUCKED! Can’t wait to try this out.
yeah its much better than it was before
It's like how no one is talking about the bastion rework either, after a melee, it essentially gives it trench while also giving a 1 2 punch effect after landing most pellets
Not super surprised that old stuff being changed is overshadowed by the shiny new stuff.

So you can get a kill and reactive the perk to refill the mag. I went through entire Legend campaign missions without reloading.
From my playthrough it was faster to just reload and contiylue killing to keep the perk up. But i get your point.
Fair enough, I spent a while practicing it but it still feels real clunky if I mess up the timing.
I have 6000 pvp kills withe cerberus. This gun was always great and my personal all time favorite
dang right
The issue is that khvostov and many other auto rifles (EVEN LEGENDARIES) are way more fun than Cerberus. I'd never use it even if it was the #1 meta PvE primary.
eeh maybe its just using a auto shotgun is satisfying well for me
Its insanely good now, easily one of the best reworks ever
yeap and I'm glad it got one
As a fellow member of the Cerberus cult, I will take any opportunity to talk about this lovely piece of scrap. It was my most used gun in both PvP and PvE before the update, and its only more certain to remain that way after. As much as I liked the permanent uptime of 90% bonus damage on the old catalyst, I'll gladly accept the kill requirement if it means I keep the range and RoF now.
yeap it feels like an actual automatic shotgun now.
They buffed the shotgun dmg?
Completely reworked the perk, now it gives a boost to damage and bullet spread with no range penalty.
Does it still kneecap your fire rate?
Nope
You mean to tell me that, on top of everything, its alt mode now fires at 360 RPM on top of it. BUNGIE. WHAT THE ACTUAL *FUCK* YALL!? Edited because numbers are hard.
Yeah. Was changed to require a kill to start so that it's not broken in PvP. It's definitely good but still doesn't touch the primary top dogs (lol) like khvostov, vex, and somewhat red death(red death isn't super powerful but just great survivability)
I figured it's not uber sweaty meta pick, but good god, this fucker is gonna go haywire the moment we get Anti-Barrier Auto back.
Completely reworked the perk, now it gives a boost to damage and bullet spread with no range penalty.
used this a bit during the legendary campaign and it absolutely shreds. I should try it again in place of my current Khostov build to see how it feels with prismatic now that I know what I'm doing. thanks!
Wow, no kidding? I used to love Cerberus I’ll give it a go again I had no clue it had gotten a rework!
yeap and its amazing
what rework??? pls someone answer i wanna know!!!
oh the catalyst makes it whenever you get a kill you hold reload and you get increased damage and tighter spread that refreshes on kills, basically kill clip on steroids.
Any other cat changes or reworks?
oh the bastion fusion rifle got trench barrel and one two punch infused with it
Cerberus genuinely feels like having a primary shotgun now it's so good
yeap and I love it
I literally didn’t know. I’ll try it
nice
There’s more sand box changes than I thought. Just yesterday I saw a video on how broken bastion is now that it has both trench barrel and one two punch with different names. Absolutely an amazing combo with liars handshake. Oh btw it’s old trench barrel and I’m assuming old one two punch!
yeap definitely
Shh.
alright alright
I tried it out a few days ago and it didn’t feel that amazing honestly
I mean with the catalyst added in
Hold up, are we talking pve or pvp?
both
1
It just reminds me of how ruined Behemoth is with the newly introduced 75% decreased dmg to crystals.
well stasis is much better than it used to so it still works
The rework nerfed everything for Behemoth. No overshield, less DR with ramp up, a shard generation cooldown so strict a glacier nade is enough, more fragments needed, but no more slots, cannot use slide melee during glacial quake, shatter damage was increased, not crystal shattering which is 90% of Behemoth, so a buff to the others mostly and the only thing that got better on Behemoth. I do believe you're objectively wrong on Stasis titan.
recently i mean stasis got buffed
It never did. Even before TFS the melee energy from shards got nerfed with the mod changes about generating ability energy according to length of cooldown on each ability. The hunter exotic Renewal Grasp got their duskfield cooldown nerf reverted and their super got buffed, but in general, no you're still wrong. Stasis was underpowered before TFS and got taken out of the freezer and put into the desert after.
do you even know that theres a new stasis mechanic called frost armor?
What about less DR with ramp up didn't you understand?
eeh depends
How much what...?
around double the damage which is amazing
Use chromatic fire with it and it bumps it to a whole new level, nova bomb equipped every headshot will weaken in a aoe
nice, i use icefall mantle with unbreakable for that juggernaut like playstyle.
I’ve used this fun a grand total of once since finishing the catalyst… many many years ago. Used it to get my first ghost medal in pvp and haven’t touched it since
well you can try it again it's much better than before
Ahhh don't tell people
fair enough
May I also mention the Exotic legs Promethium Spur? They reworked it, now it doesn't just cast a comb rift. In short what it does is grant rift energy on solar weapon kill, solar weapon kills inside a rift grant more energy Killing an enemy in a rift with full rift energy spawns a combination rift at the targets location (Which has the full benefit of both rift types iirc) And Daybreak kills also spawn rifts so that's cool Its a decent exotic now
pretty dang cool
looks like you got Houndish'd
hmmmm
Delete this thread you’ll thank me later
wait why
DFP literally just put a video out on it tfym
wait what
Destiny Fun Police. He's been doing funny off-meta Titan shit since Destiny 1.
oooh yeah him
Crazy how the rework was literally adding a damage buff and timer to the alt fire mode, and it's a monster now. Such a simple change took that gun from dust collector to a hidden gem of a weapon. I run Warlock, so that damage boost matches my Devour time.
yeah im impressed how one little change can make a gun from meh to amazing and i run it with unbreakable with icefall mantle for that juggernaut playstyle
Oh that's awesome! Does the catalyst do this or is that a whole other trick up its sleeve?
well the catalyst
- It doesn't regen Transcendence as fast as thought or fast enough to warrant it over any Lucky Pants Handcanon/Outbreak/Thorn w Necrotic Grips/Khovostov - It's 90% damage increase is mitigated vs bosses/Minibosses or tankier enemies thanks to the Kinetic bonus removal. So it's very much worse than what it was vs bosses/champs - It's base range is still pretty low compared to something like Vex/Khovostov/Quicksilver Storm - Its timer is far too low even with the bonus compared to the constant burst fire you used to have. It in a way reaps from too much success because although it can hit like a truck it's still too nuanced to be competitively useful.
yeah true true
Holy smokes, will have to give that a bash on my War Rig titan.
nah go with icefall with unbreakable for that juggernaut like experience and have a void subclass in PVE with devour to reduce the cooldown of your grenade for unbreakable
I’ll definitely check it
I found it more fun (though maybe not as good) when I could switch whenever I wanted to regardless of kills
well previously it was very clunky didn't work well, now it shreds anything you aim it at which is amazing.
OH MY GOD I FORGOT CERBY GOT BUFFED
and its great
How much is it after the rework? 2,000 Silver? 3,000 Silver??
its literally for free
Well why would anyone be talking about that? It was already free before the rework.
what
Your title says "I can't believe no one is talking about how much cerberus+1 is after the catalyst rework". I was just joking around, as if you were talking about how much it costs. 😅
oh fair enough, I got confused for a second.
You're a good sport though, and I appreciate that! Haha
of course lad no problem
Biggest issue with it is that single target damage guns just aren't very useful in terms of efficiency. I'm not saying they don't work with any builds, but not having AoE perks on a primary doesn't feel as good. Though they are more useful in GMs and slower paced stuff where you're not getting a bunch of multikills anyway from AoE perks. E- lol, I never once said kinetics weren't good at all and obviously they're more relevant than ever this season. There are plenty of kinetics that have good AoE perks and ad clear which are far more efficient than single target damage guns.
Why would I use Cerberus when Khvostov exists ?
Cause fun?
You think this is some kind of “game”?
We dont do ”fun” here
Excuse me, we play Destiny - there is no fun, only meta
i think khovstov is fun :(
If you replace the term "Final Shape" with "Meta", the campaign becomes a fun commentary on the community.
If it isn’t on a You Tube channel people don’t use it in Destiny. Pathetic I know
Absolute hot dog water take.
Cebby is f2p and Khvostov isn't?
