No it looks yuck so why don’t you give it to me? Kidding - as someone said, make sure it’s insured. I’d rather lose one of my kids than that necklace - again kidding.
be careful that will be worth a lot and someone may just snatch it from your neck or jump you for it. not to be grim but it’s very glitzy n noticeable. n seems to be more crime these days.
There's actually significantly less crime these days compared to the 90s.
https://www.brennancenter.org/our-work/research-reports/us-crime-rates-and-trends-analysis-fbi-crime-statistics The person who originally owned this piece of jewelry was much more likely to have it stolen in public than the current owner.
Some people feel like there is more crime because social media is filled with a bunch of negative news because that's what gets views. But in reality, we are much safer against crime than we've been in a while.
That vibe is called "confidence."
The #1 rule of jewelry is rock it if you wear it. If your energy is strong and YOU think you look good, most people worth your time won't bat an eye.
This☝️. Honestly, as long as you can wear it confidently— you’ll be fine. Diamonds really do look good on everyone. The better question OP, is do you actually like it— outside of anyone else’s judgement? Also, do you forsee opportunities to realistically fit it into your rotation?
No, that vibe is styling and appearance. Idc how confident you are. You could be The Rock wearing a white gown dress and this necklace, and everyone will "bat an eye", no one will take you fr. It's a blend, not a singular factor. That's what "vibe" or atmosphere of a person is.
This is honestly such a boss, slam-dunk look on a dude. Reminds me of some of the guys I know who work at GQ—incidentally, the fly straight ones—whose outfits I’ve often coveted. I love the simplicity, the length on you, and the size of the stones, which hover right between staid old money and audacious nouveau riche. Wear it with confidence and you’re golden.
i think it’s dope i’d see if you could get a necklace extender so on the back it’s like a easy little thing you can buy off amazon and it just clips to clips on the back of the necklace. it would also look cool maybe if you layered it with like a gold thicker chain. make it a little more masculine if that’s what you’re aiming for
Also i recommend a shirt that isn’t stretched out around the collar. it’s confusing to the eyes you see a nice necklace and then kinda frumpy under it. If you wear this out i recommend a nice clean t shirt so you look fresh
I'm a fan of diamond jewellery on men as long as it's not over the top. I would wear it, but only in select places because of its very high value. I wouldn't wear it in work either. Maybe if you are going to a nice restaurant or something.
Personally for a man, I’d have it extended to be at least 20 inches, possibly 22 depending on preference. It looks too short here and I’d want it to hang better.
*Yes. I thought this was*
*A woman's neck until I*
*Read "on a guy" lol*

It looks great! And nah you’re fine to wear it but I will say this, if it’s natural it’s worth a pretty penny, and those aren’t the sturdiest necklaces ever. They’re held together by tiny tiny links in between the diamond settings. Sometimes you can link it and it’ll break so be very careful. Not really a daily kind of thing!
Diamonds are for everyone. If you like it you should wear it. It’s all about styling it which you will figure out. Not sure how colors and/or gems can be gendered anyhow. Societal norms on this have changed so dramatically over decades and centuries. Go back far enough and masculinity looked awfully frilly by today’s standards. Just rock it with confidence!
I think it looks absolutely amazing around your neck, but get it insured ASAP and don’t wear it out often. Also keep it in a safe whenever you’re nit wearing it.
I loveeee this! It looks so good on you. Those stones look flawless and just so perfect. Bet it’s worth a ton. Keep it close. Make sure you’re always aware of it while you’re out, you don’t want it to fall off and lose it. Insurance would be a good thing after appraisal. Looks great! 👍🏼😊
Only if you let it. Otherwise, own it, project it, be it, and wear your inherited diamonds with the respect the previous person wore them! They are a gift to be enjoyed and not locked away in some sock drawer.
Everyone should wear what they like.
That being said, based on the outfit and outward things, I would likely not one to talk to or be around a guy who wears this much of a diamond necklace.
It comes across as trying to hard to impress.
I agree, if you like it wear it. It's quite fashionable for men to rock some bling at the moment and the thickness helps. You can always wear some more masculine clothing to balance it. If you decide its too feminine... I'll put my hand up for a diamond necklace!
Can definitely be a look if you are into diamonds but it’s a bit too tight/short. Get some extension links added so it sits better on the neck and looks like it’s actually made for you 😅 other than that enjoy this beauty 😍
You should wear what you like and what feels good to you. There's no such thing as too feminine or too masculine. Those are silly constructs made up to keep people in boxes. I think people look gorgeous when they are being who they are and enjoying it. The joy and authenticity looks amazing on you!
It’s great and yep wear it.
PSA. Take it to a jeweler and get the prongs checked for each stone. Repeat every 6 months if you wear it frequently but at least annually.
Much cheaper to pay for a repair if one is needed than to pay to replace a stone.
Everyone telling you to go for it only sees your neck. There’s a certain vibe that male or female, you have to have wearing a necklace like that. You could be a construction worker asking if you can wear this to work and you’re gonna have people telling you -yeah man, go for it, looks great, you do you. My experience? Nobody wears this to work. Nobody is wearing this walking into Whole Foods. It just isn’t done. if they do? They’re absolutely looking for attention and you have to ask yourself for contention you want to draw. I don’t think anyone here has said so far that they see this being worn all the time. Doesn’t mean you shouldn’t wear it, but where you wear it matters. It’s a special occasion piece and should be treated as such.
Absolutely!! It looks ridiculous. I’ll message you my address so I can properly dispose of it for you.
(😉 Honey, that stunner would look gorgeous on a pet rock! Wear that with pride!!)
It is magnificent. Haters gonna hate. Be yourself and embrace your inheritance! If you want to attract attention, that will certainly help. Wowza!
All that said, I know my son would struggle to wear a necklace like that. I bought him a beautiful thick silver necklace he loved when i gave it to him (he had asked for one as a lot of male athletes wear chains) and one person made a comment and he’s hesitated to wear it ever since. He is 16 though and you know 16 (seems like we are all self conscious and susceptible in our teens). Eventually, we all seem to enter a comfort zone with our style. If this necklace is something want to embrace, do it! If you had it Crafted into something “more manly”, what would it be? A belt buckle? Embellishment for a western hat? Watch band (hmm that sounds cool)?
Looks beautiful, but I’d recommend having some length added if you’re worried about it.
Typically men tend to wear theirs a little longer and less “choker” style (especially the rappers/sports athletes), but if you don’t want to spend the extra money right now then I’d say you can still get away with it so long as it’s tucked under a shirt versus left out on full display..
Enjoy it and congratulations on your new piece!!
Make sure you tell EVERYONE, including your friends (lose lips sink ships) it's fake!!! And get it insured ASAP. If you can, get a replica in cz and use that if you're thinking of every day use.
It either looks gay or hood. If you're going for one of those, go for it. If not, I'd retire it. It would be a wonderful gift for your wife one day. Better to keep it in the family than sell it.
Diamonds look great on everybody IMO. Get some insurance on it ASAP!
Unless you’re under 40 ;)
idk why u got downvoted. u were quoting breakfast at tiffany's?
Yeah :/ shoulda put the “/s” but I thought a wink would be enough for the reference.
Lol.
Have my single upvote to offset the haters lol
Honestly I just watched the Tom Brady roast and Kevin Hart was wearing a necklace just like that - if you enjoy it, wear it!
Thought the same thing. I couldn’t stop starring at Kevin’s necklace the entire time. Stunning!
He was wearing one in Boston during a performance and I couldn’t stop staring at it sparkle!!
Joe Burrow wears one during games.

well there’s a random fact of the day. nonetheless the risk still exists so just wanted to make sure OP had that in mind.
You gotta have a certain vibe to pull that off.
That vibe is called "confidence." The #1 rule of jewelry is rock it if you wear it. If your energy is strong and YOU think you look good, most people worth your time won't bat an eye.

This.
It will look SO clean on an all black outfit, like a suit.
Oh this is a beaut! Wear that proudly! Make sure that clasp is super secure. Those stones look super clean!
I think the width of the stones look amazing on you. Suit you very well.
I’m interested in hearing the story behind this inheritance! Whose was it? Where’s it from? Why are they giving it away? I need answers! 😂
Normally inheritance isn’t something that’s given away, it typically is something passed on after death.
I assumed as much, but I inherited jewelry from my grandmother while she was still alive, as well as my mom!
Depends on what the rest of you looks like.
Looks great to me!
I’d also love to know the story of it. And the specs. It looks epic and very high tcw
At first scroll, I thought this was a woman’s neck.
It looks so good on you. Do you know approximately how many carats is each stone?
It's your life. Wear what you want ✨️
This is honestly such a boss, slam-dunk look on a dude. Reminds me of some of the guys I know who work at GQ—incidentally, the fly straight ones—whose outfits I’ve often coveted. Nah I think it looks great on you! Who cares what people think
Too feminine - a female perspective.
With all these guys wearing Van Cleef, this is very mid of the feminine scale lol.
I think it does look feminine but wear it if you like it
Yes. I thought this was a woman's neck until I read "on a guy" lol

Lengthen it or don't wear it. 100% feminine.
Yes, it looks feminine. Only you can decide if that’s a deal breaker.
Chance The Rapper wore two tennis necklaces on The Voice the other night and I was like "rock it buddy". (FWIW I'm 61+)
IMO think it looks too feminine but I have seen them on certain guys.
You gotta stack it with something else or put a very masculine diamond pendant so it can drag the necklace down a little bit
Yes it looks feminine
Looks great honestly
My best advice is add more length to it. You will feel a whole lot more comfortable when it doesn’t look like a choker
I personally think it looks too feminine for a man. It is beautiful though!
I think it’s hot af
Yes it does, send it to me 🤣 But seriously, WOW what a statement piece!
Wear it.
Guys are wearing pearls now. Knock yourself out.
My thoughts exactly!
I think you can wear it. Get an extender if you want the chain to be longer. Or get a nice cuban link to layer with it. That is a killer necklace.
Not if you’re a rapper. Otherwise, imo, yes.
Yes
It looks fabulous, not feminine!
You can’t fake your personal style. It either fits or it doesn’t. I am guessing if you have to ask… it doesn’t….
That looks BALLLLLEEERRRRRR!! Love it!
Yes give it to me 😝 Jk, it looks awesome on you.
Doesn't look feminine on men at all. Tons of men wear diamond chains
Man or woman-It’s so classy, I am DROOLING! It looks gorg on you
Yes, I will take it off your hands! Jk. Rock it. Literally!
Just rock it with confidence!
it’s so cute i love this more than the classic golden chain a lot of guys wear
[wanna bet?](https://www.davidyurman.com/mens/necklaces-and-chains/curb-chain-necklace-in-18k-yellow-gold-with-diamonds-6mm-N35004M88ADI.html?dwvar_N35004M88ADI_color=DI&dwvar_N35004M88ADI_metal=88&quantity=1)
I still love the one OP has more it’s just cute
Go off, king. This is great.
Not at all, I love the look
Fuck no, holy hell! Amazing!
It cool, you can totally pull it off. I would wear it all the time. It’s brilliant.
Jewellery has no gender. If you love it wear it.
Yep.
Heck, Lewis Hamilton rocks big pearl necklaces, you do you. If you like it, wear it.
Def wear it!
Its definitely effeminate but yeah mb a tough guy could pull it off like pink shirts and stuff is the same
I’d add a couple of lab diamond’s to extend the length.
No; it’s AMAZING. I would die if I inherited this.
Looks great
Hot damn that is nice.
I think it looks absolutely amazing around your neck, but get it insured ASAP and don’t wear it out often. Also keep it in a safe whenever you’re nit wearing it.
I think this super sexy on a man. Wear it proudly
Definitely feminine
Your good
Yes, it looks silly
Short answer, yes.
Come wear it in NYC; nobody cares except thugs.
As a straight masculine male, that looks good man do your thing
Only if you let it. Otherwise, own it, project it, be it, and wear your inherited diamonds with the respect the previous person wore them! They are a gift to be enjoyed and not locked away in some sock drawer.
Looks killer!
It looks great on you! Wear it well!
Yeah, way too feminine. You need to give it to me.
Everyone should wear what they like. That being said, based on the outfit and outward things, I would likely not one to talk to or be around a guy who wears this much of a diamond necklace. It comes across as trying to hard to impress.
Looks good, but you might get robbed.
Everything goes. Enjoy that gorgeous piece.
It looks great. You shouldn’t even be question about this! Just rock your jewelry !
Looks good!
I agree, if you like it wear it. It's quite fashionable for men to rock some bling at the moment and the thickness helps. You can always wear some more masculine clothing to balance it. If you decide its too feminine... I'll put my hand up for a diamond necklace!
big time super femme. i'll give you 8k 😇
I like it! wear it with confidence ✨️
This is so beautiful 😍
Personally, I think it’s a major flex, in the best way possible. Diamonds may be a girls best friend, but they are definitely gender neutral ;)
If it makes you happy, do it.
Not at all. Stunning
Hey you like it, you wear it. Don’t worry about what others think
Meh, but I like men sans jewelry aside from a wedding ring.
Looks good on you and clean
Ahh that looks great. It depends on how good you carry it. Looks like you’re doing a great job ;)
Absolutely not! Diamonds are fabulous on anyone gender aside. I love it on you and if it were me I'd wear it and show it off! It's a beautiful piece.
Do you boo ! Looks great
Beautiful, looks 15 carat + would be interesting to hear about the details
$$MONEY$$
It looks nice, you’re all good
Can definitely be a look if you are into diamonds but it’s a bit too tight/short. Get some extension links added so it sits better on the neck and looks like it’s actually made for you 😅 other than that enjoy this beauty 😍

I think that look is very sexy!
Not as an everyday thing?Imho
Diamonds know no gender or identity orher than elevating your beauty and style. I think it looks stunnig
It’s great and yep wear it. PSA. Take it to a jeweler and get the prongs checked for each stone. Repeat every 6 months if you wear it frequently but at least annually. Much cheaper to pay for a repair if one is needed than to pay to replace a stone.

Yes
I think it’s gorgeous.
I have college students who wear feminine jewelry and they don’t care. You do you! And have a confidence. That is what matters.
I like it
If you like it, wear it. ☺️
OP is not in the US and already wears some bracelets and stuff. I’d say this works fine
It looks great on you!! Enjoy wearing it!
I love it!
Do you like it? If so, who cares if it looks “feminine” or not. I think it looks nice
Absolutely!! It looks ridiculous. I’ll message you my address so I can properly dispose of it for you. (😉 Honey, that stunner would look gorgeous on a pet rock! Wear that with pride!!)
I 100% love the look and vibe. Nothing more masculine than a guy that doesn’t give a fuck and wears what he wants with confidence. Rock that thing!!!
Its fantastic!
Regardless of what you do, insure that thing immediately. It’s gotta be worth 10s of thousands.
It looks good. Sentimental and nice. Stop worrying about what others think about you and your life. Just live!!!!!!
It’s a lil feminine but whateverr. Rock it ! 🤩
YES IT LOOKS FEMININE... SELL THE THING FOR $10-$12,000, BY YOURSELF A MAN NECKLACE AND POCKET THE REST😉
It’s pretty and shiny. If you like it, wear it. Who gives af if some random people thinks it’s too feminine for you.
I literally love it. Wear it with confidence
Wow! That is gorgeous! From what I can see, it looks absolutely stunning on you! Don’t let anyone tell you different!
Looks awesome. Enjoy it and wear it !!
That is a stunner!!
It looks like a great layering chain. It’s a bit feminine but men are wearing dresses nowadays so who cares 🙃
Make sure you get it appraised, his certified and insured
It’s amazing 🤩

Looks fine if you're gay. A feminine gay man. Otherwise, no.
Nope rock it. If men are wearing pearls, you can rock a tennis necklace
Not at all. It’s gorgeous.
Not a fan of that on a man. Sorry 🤷 it looks like you're trying too hard.
Definitely not for man's neck.
Make sure you tell EVERYONE, including your friends (lose lips sink ships) it's fake!!! And get it insured ASAP. If you can, get a replica in cz and use that if you're thinking of every day use.
Yeah it does. Looks like you took your mom’s necklace.
It either looks gay or hood. If you're going for one of those, go for it. If not, I'd retire it. It would be a wonderful gift for your wife one day. Better to keep it in the family than sell it.
