Ichthyovenator.
I've had the absolute pleasure of just happening to stumble across the Savanakhet dinosaur museum while traveling through Laos years ago. The guy who runs it was part of the team that found and described Ichthyovenator. Found out I was really into dinosaurs, took me to the back room and let me hold some ichthyovenator material. First dinosaur fossils I ever held. It's a cool looking spinosaurid, but I guess they all are. Anyway, now I have my own dinosaur fossil collection and it includes an ichthyovenator tooth (spinosaurus and suchomimus as well on the spinosaurid side).
I thought Siamosaurus was pretty underrated, but I definitely have to go with Spinosaurus as my ALL-TIME favorite, also his name is literally the name of the group he is classed in, so a bit of bias
The story of describing irritator is just funny, but spinosaurus is the OG. That said, there’s a chance oxalaia may be even cooler if we were to find any more fossil specimens.
It's obviously gotta be Spinosaurus. Also, I have a question here about Spinosaurids, well one of them.
Is Ostafrikasaurus currently known as the earliest appearance of the Spinosauridae or am I mistaken? (I'm not sure if it's valid rn)
As far as I could find this is kind of unclear. Apparently Ostafrikasaurus is known from teeth only, which don't really look like the typical cone shaped spinosaurid teeth. The two theories I could find are that it is either a primitive spinosaurid (probably in the baryonychidae line) or ceratosaurid.
The OG himself, spinosaurus aegyptiacus.
Baryonyx
Spinofaarus.
The best answer doesn't exi-
Denier: Spinofaarus isn’t real, he can’t hurt you. Spinofaarus: R̵̢̢̼̥̺̦͔̀̈́̌̒́͘̕ạ̶̢̰͇̾̽̽͑̀͒̓͝ĥ̷̠̱͖̂̆̽͊̿
What the fuck did you just bring upon this cursed land
