I only know 4 of them so: - path of titans: fun, the survival aspect is heavily reduced which is a con, but it runs and gets updates. - beasts of bermuda: a bit janky and clunky. Environmental effects are fun though. - saurian: a kinda short lived simulation without much replay value. Pretty pricey for what it is - the two I don't know: just out of principle - the isle: the only game i've ever seen that progressively gets more tedious and beginner unfriendly with each update. It is honestly probably one of the top2 games still but holy cow, the devs are unfriendly and gatekeep everyone who tries to get into the community. Criticism gets you banned and their abyssmal update cycle along with monthly promises of features just to backpaddle on them gives it the coup de gras. This game is maybe good for diehard fans who really want a hardcore survival experience and have A LOT of time to learn and no desire to ever engage in the community. If you are young enough to have the time but old enough to learn complex, everchanging mechanics without explanation ingame, you might get a decent game out of it... if it by some miracle has functioning servers for a change... last place out of pure biased spite born from me believing the promises and investing my time. They had competition free gold on their hands and fucked it up with ego and dishonesty. I will dance the day a competitor for hardcore survival comes and either forces it to get their shit together or bankrupts this scam for good. Anyway what's the second to last picture from?

Spinosaur1915

By the way, if you haven't heard, Path of Titans is currently overhauling it's quest and growth system. You can check out the details here: https://pathoftitans.com/blog/dev-blog-late-february-2024

Accomplished_Error_7

Thanks i'm aware since it's the one game I still actively play but I'm sure it will be interesting for many that gave it a try and felt bored by the quests

super_mario_fan_

The last 2 are roblox games. The second last one is a dinosaur game I (almost) 100%'d, I just need ankylosaurus and spinosaurus (both gamepass, I have almost all the gamepasses) The last one is a roblox game but I never played it, I searched it up and it has 23 players rn with 50 player servers, so its probably decent but not the best

Ahh_Feck

The last 3 are Roblox games, unless Dinosaur Simulator was transferred to a standalone game engine

Wrong-End-7517

The last 4.

Accomplished_Error_7

Thank you for your help.

Wrong-End-7517

Ill give a basic ranking if you want to play them for yourself. 1) Prior Extincion. It's a really good game, to the point that It dosent even look like a roblox game, and even has features like mixpacking and cannibalism debufs to prevent It. Features that the big 4 lack. 2) dinosaur world mobile. It's not good, but still if your looking to have Fun it's quite good 3) dinosaur similator. It's basicly not a dinosaur game anymore, ever since the dev added kaiju and hybrids and Shit like that It basicly went Downhill and that also caused the spawn of all of these other roblox dinosaur games. 4) Era of terror. It's dead It hasent even has a big update since 2022. The devs made false promises as well as the lack of devs and from what ive Heard drama from the creator killed the game, they tried to make a spin off that failed and now it's at it's last leg.

I_speak_for_the_ppl

Dino world mobile carried me in quarantine

CheeseStringCats

Path of titans goes first, amazing developers, amazing mod support, very bright future. The rest....Isle has probably the worst developers imaginable, the game just gets worse with each update. BoB I haven't played, but to my knowledge the community is super toxic (I know dinosaur games are toxic by default, but that's like square root kinda toxic.). Saurian - I've backed project with 200$ on kickstarter back in the day, because at the time it was the only other dinosaur game aside from isle. I'm very disappointed with what is happening (or nothing happening at all) to the game right now and wish I could get my money back. No opinion on other roblox looking stuff.

Wrong-End-7517

The only good roblox game Is Prior Extincion to the point to have stuff the Isle and Path of titans dont. The rest are either dead, slowly dying or are barely even a game

FestivalHazard

Roblox games are "I don't wanna download a game rn" games.

Wrong-End-7517

Still really good for what they are

Gecko_Boi

1. Path of Titans 2. Prior Extinction 3. Beasts of Bermuda (could be 2nd based on opinion) 4. The other Roblox games 5. Saurian (needs more frequent updates instead of one every five years) 6. The isle (Bad community and seems to break more with each update)

JurassicFlight

Saurian is a tragic tale. The team got betrayed by one member that stole their money, so now they only did it as a hobby project… The game is already at its death door. I feel like they might try to release the T. rex and then that’s it…

kittyidiot

The Isle folks were auto-banning anybody who said "camera" in their Discord. Insane

Metallic_Ducki07

Dondi gotta be one of the biggest losers known to the gaming community

Gecko_Boi

Ik, kinda glad I can’t play after the cera update even though I do have DX12.

Unknown-Name06

Saurian actually got an update 26th of May last year

Gecko_Boi

The update before that?

Unknown-Name06

Hang on let me search it

MechaGallade

Why don't we call these Saurvival games

Wrong-End-7517

I'm, getting you a Trophy Just for that

Anjilaopteryx

1. Path of Titans, has the best community (provided you seek out community servers instead of official ones) and is updated consistently. Decent animal models with good room for customization, both gameplay-wise and aesthetically. A good range of animals to play as, and a bustling mod community to keep things fresh while the devs do their thing. 2. The Isle, awful devs that seem to hate their player base for whatever reason. Good graphics, fantastic animations and sound design. Recent gameplay updates have been questionable. Very immersive and realistic, though occasionally to the point of the game being un-fun. 3. Saurian, very unfortunate story behind this game, as other commenters have already mentioned. It was very promising, especially since it was really the only scientifically-accurate dinosaur game at its inception. I enjoyed the models, and the encyclopedia where I could read about the different in-game flora and fauna. I don’t expect it to ever be finished. I haven’t played the rest, though I’ll probably pick up Beasts of Bermuda soonish.

sphennodon

Whaaaat? No ARK? It's so scientifically accurate.

justan_axolotl

me when i lie on the internet

basil-thedino-autist

1. Path of Titans, it's easily the best one, but the Isle is a close second. 2. The Isle, both legacy and Evrima and very fun, but the updates seem to make it worse and harder for the average player. 3. Beasts of Bermuda, nothing much to say, it's a fun game doe. 4. The 5th picture, I'm assuming, is Prior Extinction, which is Roblox game but it is easily the best Roblox game on here as it has so many mechanics and different creatures. 5. Era of Terror, it's another Roblox game but it has a dead playerbase. 6. The 6th picture is Dinosaur Simulator, it's probably only here for nostalgia because this game is the oldest Roblox dinosaur game and is 9 years old. 7. Dinosaur World, it's more of a PVP game. Never played Saurian.

Thelgend92

1. PoT. It's fun and there's always quests to do, instead of just sitting in a bush. 2. Dinosaur world mobile. It's basically a mosh pit with no rules or survival aspects (although they're making a survival version so we'll see how it goes). It's fun to just get a big dino and go in and kill things, but if you're looking for a serious game this ain't it. 3. The Isle. The management was toxic and Legacy went all kinds of wack before they started over from scratch. Don't keep that much eye on it now but it seems more serious and put together. Much of it is nostalgia for me. 4. Prior extinction. It's on Roblox which is not a good game space, but they make do. It's very slow to start out, and there's not too much to do but wait. I do like the happiness aspect of it though. 5. Era of Terror. It was very fun in its prime, but it's pretty much dead now. It had very good ambiance and the models were cool. 6. BoB. I have mixed feelings about this one. It can be fun, but the community is dicey. The balancing is also pretty majorly off. 7. Dinosaur Simulator. Fun sometimes. Similar to Dino World Mobile in being mosh pits, but I feel it does it in a worse way. It's also on Roblox, but th creators seem to like that instead of working against it. Very insistent that you buy things with Robux, which makes them money. 8. Saurian. Never played, watched one or two YouTube videos. Seemed promising, but the manager stole money from the project so now they're penniless and can only employ volunteers. Seems to be petering out.

ImpressivePriority79

Dinosaur simulator #1 for the soul reason of it was my favorite when I was 12 💪

Wrong-End-7517

It's barely an actual game

ImpressivePriority79

Hey man what could possibly be more fun then sitting there and doing nothing but… as a ✨dinosaur✨

some_guy301

the isle - havent played path of titan - havent played beasts of bermuda - havent played saurian - havent played prior extinction - i played this one i like it a lot but the events make me suffer and i have a few other problems all of the other ones - havent played

JigerIsUnderrated32

In Order: 1. Path Of Titans is my personal favourite. The community is relatively non toxic and helpful. The game has somewhat fun MMO elements but sometimes they get boring. Official Servers are a wild west and community servers sometimes (rarely) have admin abuse. But thats something easily solveable. 2. Beasts of Bermuda is alright, Its really janky and a bit broke but it looks pretty. I heard they ended service for it though? That is sad if its the case. 3. The Isle, this game is in a downhill death spiral. Nothing is going right for it anymore. Its almost like Dondi is *trying* to kill the game. The new camera update he's planning seems like the final nail in the coffin for that game. But besides that, Gameplay wise? Its too damn hardcore. You grow a Dino for like six hours only to get one shot by a Deinosuchus baby and get sent back to juvenile stage, And I say this as a DayZ player. At least Path of Titans is somewhat forgiving. Admin abuse in this game is bloody insane. I heard about a guy who got permabanned off the Discord for saying that he wasnt happy or excited for the upcoming camera update. The playerbase is incredibly rude and toxic (from my experience). This game is dying. Fast. It'll be gone in the next few years and thats if the camera update doesnt murder it. Its a shame. I *loved* the Isle so much. And now its becoming Day of Dragons. As for the others I have barely played/watched/even heard or seen the game or content of those games before

Ok_Size5401

Dinosaur Arcade in Roblox I consider it a more polished version of Dinosaur Simulator. It doesn't have the most complex mechanics, but it's nice just to walk around or survive from other players.

IndependentExtreme14

I know 5 of these it seems, though I don’t have much reasoning for my list 1. PoT - it’s just the isle but better honestly, 2. BoB - My personal favorite of the list, I just really like what they did with breeding and the chaos of colors 3. Dinosaur Simulator (Roblox) - This would honestly be fourth if The Isle hadn’t dropped so much. I played it a lot, it’s kind of goofy 4. The Isle - I enjoy legacy more than it’s new format, too bad I can’t really play either now 5. Saurian - Talk about a bore and bad gameplay. It’s the only single player on my list (and possibly the whole list if I knew the others) it’s been in development hell forever and only has two playables to show. The world is super bland and so is the ai and what you can do

Kaprosuchusboi

I’ll only list the ones I’ve played/am familiar with 1. PoT. This one seems to be the most fleshed out of the bunch and also gets the most frequent updates. Dinosaur designs are top notch for the most part, but if I’m being real, community servers and mods are what really makes this game stand out from the others. If we only had official servers this one would probably be significantly lower. 2.BoB..flying icthyovenators and plesiosaurs..nuff said. In all seriousness I haven’t really played this one, but from what I’ve seen, I really dig it. I like the skill tree mechanic and how two Dino’s of the same species can have wildly different play styles. One of my favorite examples was jag rex, and the models weren’t half bad. I also really like the weather and environmental mechanics that make bird bathing much more challenging. The skins can be a little much, but other than that this seems like a really solid Dino sim game. 3. Saurian- Beautiful designs and I’m a huge sucker for accurate depictions of dinosaurs in media..that being said, development for this game is non existent and in its current state there really isn’t much to keep me engaged in this single player Dino sim. Feel bad for the people who stayed to work on the game after the whole money getting stolen fiasco. 4. The isle. I’ll start off with the positives, the designs, while not necessarily aiming for accuracy are top notch and I really like the idea of a hardcore survival dinosaur game. That’s really all I have to say in praise of this game. Updates are notoriously slow and each one that’s introduced seems to bring in more bugs than the last. Growing things can be an absolute chore, I haven’t played in a while, but last time I did sitting in a bush and occasionally leaving for food and water was the name of the game for growing. Speaking of the fact you need a nuclear reactor to run this game instantly kills a lot of accessibility this game has, and I do have to address the elephant in the room. The playerbase is probably the most toxic out of these games, which isn’t a surprise considering how toxic a lot of the devs are. Especially the guy running everything. I really want to love this game but the devs (or at least the man child who shall not be named) really don’t want this game to succeed.

TheOneTrueGizmo

-Path of Titans -Beasts of Bermuda -The Isle -Desptie having flaws, Path of Titans feels so open and nice to play. I've made so many friends on different server almost instantly because of how welcome the community can be. (I know the community can be problematic, but its the internet) I'm always EXTREMELY happy to see updates, even as small as 5% HP buff or what have you. The devs are good at talking to the community as well when it comes to game updates. End of every month has been a devblog so far! -Beasts of Bermuda has be described to me as a more Arcade-esque game, but still plenty fun with friends. It can be a bit much, but I've heard a lot of good things about it! -The Isle has only been talked about negatively for me, and looking into the team shows me why. The creator, Dondi is just a douche, plain and simple. The Isle also has problems with new players dropping it, due to it getting harder and harder to get into.

Apart-Homework-7654

Dinosaur simulator is a shit hole and I hate it and it’s horrible it sucks it was better 30 years ago

Altalunea

I’ve only played The Isle and Path of Titans but Path of Titans wins by far. I love TI combat, it feels more fluid, but everything else about it, the community, devs, and gameplay loop, sucks. Plus it barely runs on my computer whereas PoT runs beautifully and works even on mobile (though it doesn’t look nearly so nice)

SharkLordSatan

I don’t know enough about all of the games/have played then to list my opinions on there, but I just wanted to say that Prior Extinction (5th image) is probably *the* best dinosaur game out of all of these in terms of content and gameplay. At the very least, it utterly SHITS on the Isle because it does almost everything the Isle tries to do but better.

YaRinGEE

will not be talking about BoB as i havent played it nor seen anyone play it on yt. 1. Path of Titans. I cant speak for it much but from what ive seen, it's pretty fun! It's not a walking simulator like The Isle and the devs seem to be pretty okay at their job. My only gripe is collecting acorns and flowers for 7 years and the buying options are kind of vague. 2. Dinosaur Simulator. I want to express that the gap between DS and PoT is HUGE. Im probably also biased as ive been playing this game since its release. The game is actually pretty decent however, things dont take excruciatingly long to grow, in fact the difference between DS's Shant and TI's Shant is 5-6h, DS's Shant takes about an hour vs TI's 6-7h. The game is actually pretty fun but it's primarily a pvp game, however the pvp isnt ur usual tail-ride nonsense and you actually have to be smart about how you play. The downside to this game tho is that the currency(DNA) takes forever to get unless you spend ur life-savings on the game and it is not beginner friendly. Also the community is VICIOUSLY toxic, 75% of the time you meet someone, they're probably going to be a bad person. Out of the countless people ive met on this game, most of them are either immature children or racist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist or some kind of bigoted. The devs are pretty okay tho, they work on the game consistently and the game gets frequent updates. 3. Prior Extinction. I haven't played this game much but it seems to be much like The Isle but very marginally more boring. The cool animals cost robux and this game is very very instant when it comes to wanting you to spend money. I havent heard much about the devs but they work on the game consistently so it goes above The Isle. 4. Dinosaur World Mobile. Primarily a pvp game and again insistent on you spending your money. Also the upgrading system is weird and takes a long ass time. 5. The Isle. This game is pretty bad, the community is toxic towards the devs and the devs do not know what they're doing as shit takes forever to update and the game doesn't seem to be reaching a conclusion any time soon. Outside of the community, the game is a walking simulator. Either you are walking 10 years to find food, water or your pack and things take excruciatingly long to grow. I mentioned Shantungosaurus earlier taking 6-7h. The worst part is the game is all risk, no reward. You can spend hours afk growing or playing legit and still end up dying to a pack of 5 rexes. The only good aspect of this game is the pvp and not even that's good. It's just tail riding or stalling for an opening to tail-ride. Not to mention how broken the pvp actually is. This game is pretty bad and i honestly dont know why i still play it. 6. Era of Terror. This game hasnt been updated in years but from the last time i played it, it was actually a pretty good game. Things dont take 10 years to grow, the pvp is actually decent and the community is pretty okay. It would honestly be higher than DS if it wasn't for the lack of updates. However I hear the new devs are working on a sequel so i can only hope it'll be just as good as the last time I played. No community comments because this game literally has like 3 players at any given point. 7. Saurian. Hasnt been updated, probably wont be updated, struggles due to a shitty ex-lead dev and lack of funding. It had potential but not really at the same time, from what ive seen it was just gonna be a The Isle clone with more realism and marginally better mechanics. Cant comment on the community cus i havent seen much of them.

Crus0etheClown

I sigh and lower my head- because I have so many hours in all of these and none of them actually provide much of what they claim to offer. Maybe one day Path of Titans will have enough features to feel like more than a glorified chatroom, but for now I've had to put it down. I played the Isle back when it was more fun. Those happy days sitting around the watering hole, watching the asshole allos run around- rose tinted glasses, though. I remember dreaming about Saurian. Fuckin sad what happened to it. Someday I'm putting out a signal to people wanting to take a new approach to this game genre, I have experience in game direction and art but no time or ability to build the thing completely on my own. If anyone has interest in hearing my pitch send me a poke but someday I'll spam a design document around on reddit for y'all to see.

Wooper160

Broken, grindfest, weird, incomplete forever, doodoo graphics x4

Your saying prior extinction has bad graphics, cuz u are wrong

It’s impressive for a roblox game. But still suboptimal

I’ve only played the Big 3 games. Here’s my ranking 1: The Isle of 2: Path of Titans 3: Bob

super_mario_fan_

I only played The Isle, I have about 16.8 hours of playtime, I was able to be in an allosaurus pack, got to full grown, got cocky and thought I could take on a trike. You can guess how that went out. In another game, I was a baby gallimimus in an area with a ton of herbivorous dinosaurs together, I forgot how it turned out but I think I left the game, it would've been funnier if a rex ambushed me In a few other games I was in a sandbox server just being an acro running around the map.

Thelgend92

Era of terror is pretty much dead now, unfortunately. I don't think it's been updated in a while either

JAOC_7

1) Path of Titans, because I’ve been able to play it 2) everything else, because I haven’t

NeatSuccessful601

Isle is a game I quit enjoying but I def don't take part in the community. I'd be eaten alive

MewSixUwU

i play the isle regularly, tis fun. haven't played any others

Tumorhead

Uhgggggggg so sad Saurian has basically died. It was the only game that gave a shit about accuracy as it was trying to replicate the ecosystem as closely as possible, to the point of redoing assets when new science came out.

HusamaObinladen

Not listed here, but, dearest Capcom, give us a *Dino Crisis* remake, pretty please with sugar on top.

aristocratvampire

1.- Carnivores 1 2.- Carnivores 2

DragonYeet54

I like how half of them are Roblox games lol

Greedy-Camel-8345

The only one I've played is the isle and I gotta say it's a massive disappointment. I played the isle when it was first announced 9 years ago. That's right 9. YEARS. Honestly it was more fun as a broken mess all those years ago. Like yes the community was terrible but atleast it was fun. Now it's still in early access, every change has been nonsense or never came or removed, I've never played the others but the isle belongs at the bottom

GearlessAaron

Where's the og, Dinosaur World by BBC? Mostly /s

SomeRandomIdi0t

I’ve only played Saurian and the AI definitely needs improvement before the full release. Lost my entire family as a Dakotaraptor because they all walked up to predators

RayquazaFan88

Im not even a huge Roblox fan, but I have to say. Dinosaur world has no rights to be that good (for a Roblox game at least)

I_speak_for_the_ppl

Sauria was so brilliant why did they stop developing it?

ShackledDragon

Beasts of Bermuda, The Isle, Path of Titans, Era of Terror, Dinosaur Simulator (from best to worst. Idk the rest, never played them, so I didnt include them)

Path of Titans takes first place in my heart, no doubt! The game is very fun and it's actively developing, and the devs love their project and players.

I hate all of them. Path of titans would be good if it weren’t for the FUCKING AWFUL NETCODE. Every single server is laggy as fuck and I’m tired of it

pixel-artist1

They are all the single worst video game I have ever played in my life. Seriously what is wrong with these devs how are they all so abyssmal? Buggy janky ugly with hardly a mechanic, the best way to play them is to afk for hours while watching netflix how did it get so bad?

Wrong-End-7517

Did you atleast play One of them? If you player teh Isle that makes a lot of sense

pixel-artist1

Yeah I played POT and The Isle. Horrid games they play like bottom of the barrel game jam entries that someone did in 20 minutes in unreal (and yes I know just "how much" "backbreaking work" it takes ot make one of those for I am a game dev myself). The shitty bbc big al roguelike and the old sanctuary woods Lion&Wolf are so much better than these games, as boring as those other games are compared to any competent game, you at least have thematically appropriate things to do no AFK'ing under a tree or picking mushrooms!

Snaivi

Google early access

pixel-artist1

Its been like ten years lmao

Snaivi

I'm talking about PoT don't even think I'm defending The Isle ever again

pixel-artist1

POT has been on early access for FOUR YEARS now, thats hardly early access thats almost as long as a real game takes to develop from scratch. Early access is just a rug some devs use to sweep some of the brokeness of their game under and never fix it.

crazyhellcat

Isle of Yore has some potential but with all the glitches and bugs it currently has.... near unplayable. But that pack dynamics with the wild ai is very interesting. I would say the graphics are above the games roblox games but the glitches....
