House - No Dog - Yes... But you can maybe, in time give another little doggo a loving home. Maybe a rescue dog?

sirvesa

You can rescue each other.

Was about to say this. I loved my house. It was my home for 12 years. I decorated every inch of that house. I don't miss it at all. I adore my new house because it is MINE and it is peaceful and it represents my freedom.

My ex-wife left and kept the house and the dog (kids are 50/50). I got an apartment that I ended up really loving. I made it my own. I still miss the dog tho. But it gets better

I’m really sorry you are going through this, you are a kind person. I can’t you if things will get easier or harder but just know you are not alone when it comes to this. Once you get to your new place, do what makes you happy (that is not life threatening) if you ever need to chat, you can DM anytime, if not than please take care. God bless

You’ll get over the house as soon as you settle in. The dog is rougher. I had to leave my dog with my ex because we got her for our daughter. We have a visitation arrangement set up that works for us even though our relationship is toxic, she never stands in the way of me seeing my dog/daughter and Vice versa. I guess i got lucky in that regard

Maybe after you have settled down in your apartment, you can see if you can have the dog with you sometime. I share the dog with my ex. We don't have kids.

understanding from me! I miss my old garden too!

You're amazing for not wanting to take 'his' dog from him though.
