Of all time? That’s tricky, there are so many. If I had to choose one, that when I heard it I fell in love with this genre then it would be:
Calibre - Even If
I enjoyed drum and bass before then but that track kind of transformed what it did for me. Especially hearing it on a nice soundsystem.
That Calibre track is dope.
I'm a giant fan of Calibre and he is IMO the best producer in the game.
Calibre has made so many dope tracks it's hard to just pick one but I would probably go with Peso.
not sure how to describe it. not something likely to make my playlists, but i could imagine hearing this out and really getting down to it.
I'm old enough that i remember Can't Punish me being a staple of live sets, but the song is also chill enough that it plays very well in the car or while relaxing. thats a big part of what makes it my all time DnB jam.
i've only listened to this remix once now (thanks for pointing it out to me) but its not likely to get a lot of plays from me. i will toss it in a playlist and see if it sticks or not, though
This song got me into DnB. I was watching a YouTube video of a guy building a pc and he had hold your colour playing over it. This was probably in 2008
**BLACK SUN EMPIRE - ARRAKIS**
https://youtu.be/QrHCn69rppg?si=ZACUZiiNWh-5y5fE
It is unmatched in terms of the dose of energy, epicness and whole atmosphere, that makes you cam feel powerful itself. Absolute top of the tops and to this day I can't compare this track to anything else.
There’s only two absolute favorites for me;
[Pendulum - Plasticworld](https://youtu.be/uQ7qCgCedCs?si=XCbNLv6nd9YQNbEB) and [The Sentinel - Toulepleu](https://youtu.be/NagT5-hgNxU?si=e8EUpeTHcQv0XkWq)
I can’t simply give 1, so I’ll give 5. I doubt you’ll complain, especially you go give them a listen.
[Collision-Audio.](https://youtu.be/J7IYhmcUAGs?si=ABWG3gj3VmfrwV_n)
It’s just so fucking good. I remember when i first found it about 2 years ago. I loved showing it to people & every single time their reaction was the same, absolutely priceless!
[Moonbox-Black Sun Empire, State Of Mind](https://youtu.be/sZfDrGKpJbk?si=g125l84_VTbJzpwF)
Perfect amount of heavy, dark, euphoric & energetic. If you don’t even like this a lot, I’d consult a medical professional ASAP. I have a deeeeeep love for this song. If i could marry an mp3 file, settle down & grow old together, this would be with the one. It’s one of the few songs I can happily listen to on repeat or often.
[Tornado-Agressor Burx](https://youtu.be/s3JnpRKoJPs?si=gCPb-L6neoxZRlM5)
I actually just found this song this week, and i love it that much i can safely say it’s in my top 5 OAT! It speaks for itself, just go give a listen on something better than your phone speakers (ideally headphones).
[Miniamba-Future Prophecies](https://youtu.be/5l9rzVhmvLY?si=5MPaEPkf-xEj81Pn)
Chances are you haven’t ever heard this, or even of Future prophecies before! IMO one of the greatest Techstep producers ever. Go listen to all their shit if you like your tech. This song however isn’t too techstepy, idk exactly how id describe it, other than dope asf. It’s just so good.
This was the song that really got me into dnb a few years ago, & now i think about it, i have it to thank for me eventually becoming a dnb DJ & inspiring me to learn to produce.
[Seasons-Smote](https://youtu.be/vqJE1KLBCH0?si=sPHfMvin15A-ni8H)
I can almost guarantee you’ve never heard this song either. It’s absolutely criminal it has fuck all streams! As a Neuro DJ, it kinda shows how AMAZING this track is that I’d put it in my top 5, even tho it’s a liquid track. Please give it a listen!
Man i fucking love Drum&Bass. Theres sooo many i wanted to put on here, but I’m happy with this selection & came together quite organically without debating with myself too much 😂
Man I’m acc so jealous haha. I’ve been to countless many raves & have never once heard it live. I’ve even seen Audio do a set before & he didn’t play it!? I couldn’t believe it! 😂 Thats like seeing chase & status & them not playing No problem or program.
Aww man that sucks. I wonder what Audio thinks of the track as I don’t recall hearing it in his sets but I could be wrong.
Audio was super popular in the Irish DnB scene I think so his tracks were played often. It was played at my first rave amongst other Audio tracks and I then understood the mastery of him. Heard it a few times in another city in Ireland years later I feel like he makes his tracks specifically for sound systems.
Yeah I used to dig through discographies a lot and listen to whole releases in my car. Some songs you would otherwise skip really start to come out with multiple listens.
Badadan rekindled my love for d&b in the last few months because my 5yo son loves it but he asks for it to be played all the time so I've started to go off it now 🤣
My most listened track on Spotify last year was "Lost in Time" by More Plastic, so I suppose that's the one, though I have many faves depending on my mood:
Happy: Andromedik - Time or his remixes of Howling/champion
Energetic/euphoric: anything by Kanine or Muzz
Motivating: anything by More Plastic
Angry/Aggressive: anything by Zardonic, Reaper or Dirtyphonics, Turno - Killer VIP, AEON:MODE remix of Laserbeam, some of Kanine's tracks as well, also a few by Macky Gee
Chill/emotional: Kanine's remixes of Strangers and Glue, No One Else by him & Wilkinson, Pendulum's Nothing for Free (Kove remix), liquid dnb in general
Nostalgic: Cartoon - Why we Lose or C U Again
If you like what you see, here's an 80+h playlist of tracks in that taste: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0ImhqkEz9XYMaUHEZHt6DC?si=fd965cb8f8884f19
Too many favourites, can’t just have one when theres so many good tunes out there!
To name a few my go to’s are:
Chase & Status - Take me away (hearing this one live in feb made me very emotional)
Chase & Status - Street life
Chase & Status - Say the word
Jammez - Electric Terrain
High Contrast - Music is Everything (Pola & Bryson Remix)
Pola & Bryson - Phoneline
Hmmm.
Scanners or Life Without Drums by Paradox. Paradox is defo my favourite producer.
Other than Paradox I think it’s got to be Technology Boymerang Remix by Ed Rush and Nico.
10 of my favourite tunes in no particular order:
Logistics - City life
Chase and Status - Take me away
Calibre & High Contrast - Mr Majestic
Seba - Under the sun
S.P.Y - By your side
Aphrodite - Listen to the Rhythm
Kings of the Rollers - Solar heat
London Elektricity & Makoto - Rewind
Need for Mirrors & DRS - D.F.T.F
Calyx & TeeBee - Elevate this sound.
Dom Dolla - Miracle Maker (Subsonic Bootleg)
Hearing Culture Shock mixing it into tantrum desire - unleashed and sota - wait for me blew my mind. Culture Shock is a genius
Honestly, Shapes by Bastion and Catching Cairo. Either that, or Nobody’s Perfect (Netsky Vocal Bootleg), or Escape by Kanine, or even Everyday Netsky Remix
Too many favourites to choose from, the DnB scene just doesn’t seem to stop innovating even after this many years
Gotta be Metropolis by Adam F. It's STILL one of the most unique dnb tracks ever produced and brought in a particular kind of sci fi darkness that soon took over.
Goated liquid dnb track, up there with the greats. The build up and then the gorgeous female vocal drop, just so good.
If you like that, you may enjoy Parallel by Technimatic. Another unreal female vocal liquid tune. Technimatic has millions of great songs though, probably top 3 in liquid dnb game.
[Shimon & Sparfunk - The Smoker (Tantrum Desire rmx)](https://youtu.be/ZdB7Zu3xFyA?si=DQnoczU5OsXC9Rv7)
I sorta discovered DnB the same time I started going to the gym and I used to just go nuts to this song I can't tell you how many times.
as in songs I've listened to a billion times and am still obsessed with:
Loadstar - Lancelot,
Mutt - Just the Kind of,
Netsky - Memory Lane,
Noisia - Dustup,
TEED - Garden(Calibre Remix),
Fred V & Grafix - Night Shift,
Subfocus - Coming Closer,
Frenech Soler - Magnetic (Kinetic Remix),
and many many more
Hard to pick a single one, but I immediately fell in love with "Wings - Nu:Logic Remix". This remains one of my all time favourites. Also "Colour my soul - Degs" was the song which let me discover degs and he became one of my favourite artists to date
But too many to pick. As others said it's highly depending on the mood.
I'm sure this will be controversial but it's Shabba D & Det ft. Alison David - Say what you're saying. Just because it came out right in the sweet spot of my teenage years and I still have it in my playlist
The song that hooked me into drum and bass
DRS - count to ten ft. Enie
Has this dark and Sinister vibe but not over the top and in ya face too much. Gives me real warehouse vibes
Parhelia - Birds are coming home.
One time I was so high I listened it like 20 times, also that video for that track on youtube about those birds mimicking and dancing was so spot on and special in itsef.
Why it wasnt been released on record is still puzzling me.
Edit: [This One. ;)](https://youtu.be/5tqdlULHXRE?si=0GD_o_vb7sYGbB93)
Synths, rolling effect throughout it, melody and violin...just thr whole theme is 10/10. You feel special and proud to be given a chance to walk this world.
Far too many to mention
LTJ Bukem - Horizons
Nuyorican Soul - Black Gold Of The Sun (4Hero Remix)
DJ Trace - Mutant revisited
Teebee - Dimensional Entity
Nasty Habits - Shadowboxing
Stakka and Skynet - Clockwork
I don't know if it's my *favorite*, but [MRSA - Different](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=egneoC3HGqo) will always hold a special place in my heart. I was already interested in DnB, but Enter Shikari did a quest mix with this track, and it got me *into* DnB.
Different is why I have so much Hospitality in my library, that quest mix got me a lot of new artists to listen to, so all in all it's pretty influential for me (and Different most so).
One single track to rule them all no matter year, style, label etc? No way i could pick one. First track coming to mind out of the all time favorites is once again [Inverse](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UQeDK5_hn8o) by Noisia and the Upbeats tho, so there's that
Listening to all these songs, I realize I'm more of a Junglist than a D&B guy, so I'll skip my Remarc and Bizzy B recommendations.
Photek - Rings Around Saturn
https://youtu.be/Eaqxo1R7raA?si=KQ0graSGiEy84NHp
Not sure if it’s my favorite (it’s too hard to pick) but it’s what’s on right now and it’s dang good. It’s kinda unheard of if you like dancefloor dnb you may wanna check it out. (I like dancefloor dnb)
Faces - Houndeye
Of all time? That’s tricky, there are so many. If I had to choose one, that when I heard it I fell in love with this genre then it would be: Calibre - Even If I enjoyed drum and bass before then but that track kind of transformed what it did for me. Especially hearing it on a nice soundsystem.
Calibre is one of a kind. God damn legend Ambra - FD (Calibre remix) is my top 5 tracks. Banger music.
This is actually one of the first DnB songs I ever heard and I think it’s what really got me into it. It was on a mix of a bunch of other DnB songs
YES
I find myself humming this song definitely an ear worm
That Calibre track is dope. I'm a giant fan of Calibre and he is IMO the best producer in the game. Calibre has made so many dope tracks it's hard to just pick one but I would probably go with Peso.
He is on the vocals as well, in case anyone was unaware!
High Contrast - Racing Green
This is a good song to start the day
Any track can become favourite depending on your mood.
True
all time, Dom & Roland - Can't Punish me. current jam is Bloom Remix of DNMO & Wolfy lights - Bombalaya
Check out the Borne remix of Bombalaya. Shit slaps
i hadn't heard it before. I enjoyed it, but i like it significantly less than the original and the Blooom remix
What did you think of the Chrissy Chris flip?
not sure how to describe it. not something likely to make my playlists, but i could imagine hearing this out and really getting down to it.
Do love a bit of Dom & Roland but kinda wish Roland would do a set for once 🤔 /s because you know
LOL. I heard Roland refuses to get off his little rubber feet so Dom has to do everything
Exquisite tune
Commix - Be True
came here to say this. Magic.
Pendulum - hold your colour
This song got me into DnB. I was watching a YouTube video of a guy building a pc and he had hold your colour playing over it. This was probably in 2008

Bad Company - The Nine
A classic! But brooo have you heard A.M.C’s edit of it tho!? Oh my daysssss it’s one of the most glorious things ive witnessed in person!

Point Precision - QZB, Hits different and deserves more attention in my opinion. But my all time favorite would be The View from DRS, LSB, Tyler Daley
I have so many favourites but Propane Nightmares by Pendulum was my first DnB tune and I still listen to it regularly
One single track to rule them all no matter year, style, label etc? No way i could pick one. First track coming to mind out of the all time favorites is once again [Inverse](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=UQeDK5_hn8o) by Noisia and the Upbeats tho, so there's that
Kyli ft. Bonk - Bleetshow Not the real answer but if you know you know
Hypnotize by Monty. I never, ever get bored of hearing this tune. He does so much with a simple filthy bassline.
Macky gee tour
My current fav is Chase and Status - Program, but it changes a lot.
Music madness by successful criminals
Has to be P.F.M The Western feat. MC conrad for me. Gives me goosebumps every time.
Listening to all these songs, I realize I'm more of a Junglist than a D&B guy, so I'll skip my Remarc and Bizzy B recommendations. Photek - Rings Around Saturn https://youtu.be/Eaqxo1R7raA?si=KQ0graSGiEy84NHp
Currently, realize by sota
I’m new to DnB so I’m sure I’m missing some obvious ones but currently I adore Left to Right Subfocus Remix and Censor VIP
Mine
spor - aztec Edit : loadstar - be there
[DJ Zinc - Pranksters](https://youtu.be/GWkEbtp3jqo?si=wrpG_teI8IYVRxwf)
Right now, waiting (vip) - sub focus
Sili- In the mood
Teebee - [Stolen Documents](https://youtu.be/ldCFYiLpnlQ?si=Q2ZG0cE387yeZiRC)
Not sure if it’s my favorite (it’s too hard to pick) but it’s what’s on right now and it’s dang good. It’s kinda unheard of if you like dancefloor dnb you may wanna check it out. (I like dancefloor dnb) Faces - Houndeye
Can not pick just one... Fred V & Grafix - One of These Days Netsky - Everyday
Calibre & High Contrast - Mr Majestic, the energy of that production hits so hard
