Looks cool! I always enjoy non-evocation spells that do significant damage. You could also add Charisma-based skill checks disadvantage.

NecessaryBSHappens

It is definitely disorienting. I would say even deafening and blindling since brain will be overloaded all incoming information Also I cant imagime how horrendous poor victim screams will be. Gross Maybe I would change damage to psychic as transformation is kinda emotionally hurtful:) Like the spell though, I will add it to my collection

Fa1nted_for_real

We need a damage type for alternative physical damage, like tears, mutilation, suffocation, etc.

NecessaryBSHappens

Yep, something like maiming damage

Omega_Steve15

Sickles should do Maiming damage

praegressus1

Pretty cool, I like it!

StitchAndSword

Thanks!

B-HOLC

Silly question, but why force? As opposed to necrotic for example. Perhaps a bit of both, a la flame strike?

StitchAndSword

I opted to not go with necrotic because, while it is gross af, nothing to do with necrosis or death is present in the spell. Force is raw magical energy and I felt that it fits better in the transmutation school than necrosis does.

B-HOLC

See, I thought of necrotic as its a gross violation (in both uses of gross) of the flesh of a creature. A manipulation of its life energy even. The raw magic angle checks out tho

Shoddy-Ambassador229

To be fair, the whole transmutation school is about manipulating energies and forms.

Nyxternal

I always wanted a partial polymorph spell, like you have frog legs now and have a 5 speed or you have fish slippers for hands and can't hold weapons

blaertes

Are the growths permanent? Some text about “can be removed with a restoration remove curse” etc

B-HOLC

It does say a duration of one hr. If you were going to let a restoration spell end it I'd make it a point to have it be at least a couple levels higher. (Maybe even a casting check if it's the same level)

blaertes

It does say that for the remainder of the spell duration they have disadvantage on perception / dex saves but the physical disfigurations are unmentioned

ShotInTheShip86

If you think about it the note is spot on... For most creatures having eyes and ears in place on your body where they are not supposed to be would definitely be disorienting... Only time I can think this would be reduced is if the creature is already like what the spell is doing then the disadvantage might be reduced by half or to none at all...

JotaTaylor

This is very cool, but the Con save feels displaced. I'd expect a Charisma save.

DiceMadeOfCheese

I remember The Gate! Fun movie

Th3Banzaii

That's a pretty cool sounding spell. Love the idea of more straight evil, grim spells. But i hate having to be that guy but there is a typo in "assure" in the note at the bottom.
