Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword 100%
* Great normals (huge thrusting attacks on R2 and rolling R1 let you land hits in situations where most other weapons wouldn't reach)
* Great Ash of War (extremely fast gap closer for a colossal weapon, if you don't do the followup it recovers almost instantly so you can dodge or combo into an R1, followup does tons of damage and staggers or launches basically anything that isn't a boss)
* Absolutely cracked attack power on a decent STR/ARC build
* Looks like Soul Edge
It's one of my favourite weapons in the DLC, and I'd consider it one of the best colossal swords in the entire game.
Putrescence Cleaver has a fun AoW that can stunlock things, but it's worse in every other regard IMO, and its AoW is a lot less useful on bosses than AMOGS's.
The greatsword is absolutely delicious, I love it.
With this build you can back up with the bloodfiend weapons (they scale great with STR/ARC) and you can always use the cleaver on the side for the fun AOW when you feel like it.
Ancient Meteoric Ore Greatsword is literally the zweihander moveset (best big sword), is longer than the zweihander (ridiculous), and has an insane AoW that you can actually use on fast bosses. I love the Putrescence Cleaver for its style, but its AoW is too slow to use on any of the really hard bosses.
First, who cares if you "look like a clone" - people should have fun however they want.
Second, hard disagree on the looks. The cleaver is way too curved. Why am I hitting people with a semicircle?
Obviously I care, and so do many other people. Ofc you should do whatever you want, I just don't find that interesting. Especially because we end up having the exact same moveset in a game with hundreds.
I like the arrowhead a lot it's just too large :( Cleaver is cute

Cleaver looks way cooler and you won't be a clone of everyone else
