The one where Ray becomes manager of the mens basketball team, the gang comes looking for Ray at his house on game day and one of them asks Debra "how is your sister"?
I must have missed her mention. But her parents don’t seem to talk about her?
I think there was an opportunity to explore this character more. I could see Ray complain about her dropping over a lot. It would just in him to not see the irony.
The Nun thing was not working for me
In the episode where Debra’s parents split up, her dad says something to her like “when you and your sister were kids, it was different then. After you girls grew up, we just stopped pretending”. Not exact words, but he did mention they had two daughters
It seemed a bit weird to me that Debra's very WASPy family are Catholic. Maybe Jennifer converted on her own, I guess that wouldn't be out of character.
She seemed to be something of a wild child so she didn’t fit in with Debra’s domestic life. Marie wouldn’t have been a fan of her lifestyle and held it against Debra.
I’m guessing the writers/producers decided the character just didn’t work out after they saw her on screen and decided not to bring her back.
I believe she is mentioned in an early episode where Robert asks Debra to set her up with him.
Not sure if this is the same episode but Debra tells Robert she is the younger sister.
She’s mentioned a few times, once even that she was married herself. But I take it with a grain of salt.
She was busy dating The Who

Also, it's mentioned that she hasn't seen Robert since Ray and Deborahs wedding. Later, Deborah says I haven't seen you in 2 years.
But maybe Deb saw her and Robert just wasn't around. She specifically hasn't seen Robert since the wedding.

Debra actually mentioned having a sister in the 1st season once.
You would like to see a nun have a fling with Robert?
No of course not. I would like to see the nun angle ditched.
Yeah, she had a terrible personality for a nun. I actually didn’t like her at all, and I would hate to see Robert stuck with her. I like Amy. 😁
Everybody Loves Amy!
