The M249 SAW is a much better LMG, both platform-wise and technicality-wise. Much happier with my M249.

I agree. If you have the cash for it the Daytona conversion kits are a good middle ground if you're willing to run HPA. Personally I'm not a fan of HPA but my brother has a Daytona converted M60 and it's a blast to shoot with the amount of recoil you get.
From what I've seen, they can be very finicky but if you're comfortable servicing a GBBR you'll have no problems. They're an absolute blast to shoot. He has a twin tank setup so he can go through his entire box mag about twice before having to top off again.
I've got one coming in tomorrow. Way too excited lol. I got the black variable mag adapter, hpa fittings, brass piston head, and brass washers for maximum fun. Can't wait to bring it out Saturday
There is a GHK RPK but good luck finding one and if you do find one, good luck convincing the seller that it's not worth $2,000.
My buddy has one of these. Pretty sweet machine. He's always on mounted MG positions with it so it sounds awesome when it's blasting over head.
