Dorn too. It's russ that would get sunburnt. Him being ginger and all that. Also maybe the lion.
As for konrad and corvus. They'll just have parasols with t-shirts that say "bite me" on them
"Father, shouldn't we put sunscreen on? Nostroman skin isn't particularly-"
"JAGO, I'M ONLY AN ELECTED OFFICIAL! I CAN'T BE EXPECTED TO MAKE THESE DECISIONS!"
I'm not sure but I imagine Angron running to the waves like a happy oversized dog
TTS Dorn is building a sand castle and Magnus is reading a book in the shadow of an umbrella, cliché and obligatory
Dorn and Perturabo would absolutely try to outdo each other in sandcastle construction. The resulting constructs would go on to become monuments several centuries later.
Meanwhile, Alpharius and Omegon are in the background constructing a massive gravity beam to pull the moon closer, impacting the tides, and flooding BOTH sandcastles.
Ghazkull gets shot in the head again and realizes “da biggest, baddest foight is krumpin’ da gitz wot inside ya.” Gork and Mork are allegories for the fight between ego and id.
Becomes an Ork Buddha and leads the Orks in a Waaagh against the self to reach “da Green Nervaner”
Billions die.
I want zen Orks in the setting more than anything. They can connect with the waaaaagh field in a special way and win solely through psychological damage.
I like that still allows for orange Buddhist robes because I don't think there's a cannon (kannon?) Thing for the colour orange in ork belief.
Orange is orky inner peace cus it clashes with the green so well. Love it.
WELL YE SEE
NOW YER GONNA WANNA SIT DOWN AND FINK ABOUT DIS ONE
ORANGE IS YELLOW AND RED, ROIGHT?
SO IF YOU WEAR YELLOW AND RED
YER GONNA REACH NERVANER FASTAH
AND EXPLODE WHEN YOU GET DERE
IT'Z PERFECT!
I also love the idea of an ork understanding colour theory.
Like that was one of the things the old ones implanted into them.
Ork art teachers. Dressed like a stereotypical hippie using a couple of squig brushes to make happy little explosions.
They actually do have an understanding of colors and they have a whole set of beliefs around it. Red makes things go faster. Blue is lucky. Purple is supposed to make things harder to see but I haven't seen a lot of purple things so I don't know about that one. Yellow makes things explode bigger. Yellow is also associated with wealth and being flashy. Black is dead 'ard and white is deadly. This is why they're so fond of the white and black checker pattern. Since ork belief affects reality *these things are all true.* When an ork does it, anwyay.
So yes if you paint a missile yellow and red it will in fact fly faster and explode bigger.
BUT BOSS. I FOUGHT YELLOW MEANT YA WAZ RICH? DEN AGAIN. ME AND YOOZ IS DIFFERNT CLANZ SO MAYBE YE DONT FINK ROIGHT LIKE I DO. AND IF YOU SAYS IZ WRONG. ILL STOMP YA!
I'm going by an old codex of captain badrukk being bedecked in yellow to show how rich he was like all good loota boyz should. Bu ti do remember something about yellow being explosive.
I dont even care or really like the TK, but if Settra came out of the chaos realm after millenia of fighting attempting to mess up the chaos gods after trying to get him to serve in the end times to put his boot up Nagash's ass and rebuild his people so he can continue waging war against the gods, I'd jump on that.
Quick reminder that this isn’t a post about whether it’s good or bad to advance the narrative of 40k. There are definitely good arguments that it should focus on being a setting instead of telling a story, but that’s neither here nor there. This post is for us to have fun speculating and memeing new lore for the game.
The Severan Dominate, a former Imperial sector and current independent human ~~principality~~ dominion, gets help from a Tau Expansion Sphere and attacks the Calixis Sector in order to annexe it. They hope to take advantage of the current state of the Imperium.
The Imperium has to make do with Imperial Guard and PDF. Best things at its disposal are Sisters of Battle and Tempestus Scions. They have to fight against Tau Battlesuits and Kroot Shapers.
No Space Marines. No Primarchs. Just humans and aliens as strong as ordinary humans, fighting a brutal battle of attrition.
EDIT: These are all canon places. The Calixis Sector is the setting of the Dark Heresy RPG.
I got some old ass tau for free, so I have more than a few kroot in my boxes. I quite like their rules, tbh, I love the early move, and the shaper helps a bunch. Hounds are cheap and annoying and fast lol
You can read their wiki, they are 8ft tall and i quote « kroot musculature is extremely powerful and composed of dense fibre spindle with a greater power-to-mass ratio than is found in humans » 🤓
He’s a good cop from a corrupt society. He’s a rebel from a striving society. Together they will have to learn from their differences and make justice reign.
Rowboat Girlyman and Farsight combine forces in: GREATER GOOD-ER!
Coming soon this summer.
We all know who. I need Chris Tucker speaking through a battlesuit, almost as much as I need Jackie Chan in power armor saying "LEAVE ME ALON!" And proceeding to beat the fuck out of angron
Nah I want the Yvraine ship to happen, not just as haha the eldar waifu shtick, but I want the story arc to be that after several books of her and him working closely she starts to notice the big blue man slowly falls into a pit seeing him in real pain and actually feeling bad. One book sees him finally crack underneath the weight of everything, his sons are unable to help him so she decides to try and help him. She goes into his room to console him, she hugs him and tells him that she understands the pain he bears and she wants to bear it with him.
In the end of the arc we actually see the imperium warm up to the idea of eldar and other xenos, angering the black templars, death watch and ordos xenos, but with it a closer relationship with the two races working together on the same fronts while Guilliman finally isn’t alone doing it all knowing he will probably fail humanity and his father.
Nah given the rate things seem to be going it's Lion and Farsight time. Rowboat got his Eldar Gurl and now Lion will get his Tau Boi.
Realistically if Lion comes back I'd imagine that yes he'll get some kind of pairing with a Xenos leader to allow a broader relevance for Xenos in what is a Chaos and Imperium saturated story.
I like that this is going on lore-wise because Tau will get relevance but sadly I could not care less about Lion
or maybe I'm just one lore dive away from liking the guy.
Btw how confirmed it is? That there will be any Farsight Lion interaction, is it speculation or something written in the Arks of Omen books I didn't yet get to read?
I'm a huge fan of Farsight Enclaves and the Tau, and I really enjoy Lion. I think they would make a good pairing for these arcs, especially considering their shared paranoia and honor. It's like an Arthurian Knight and a mythical Samurai coming together. Where Chivalry and Bushido overlap or at least the romanticized versions.
Sure.
Misteriously due to random warp shenannigans a 10 km³ mountan of feces materializes over Erebus crushing him and then the whole planet falls on a black hole nothing of it is ever known again.
The lion returns calls for a new crusade reforming his legion from his successor chapters and begins to conquest of the eastern galaxy.
Vulkan returns and has a device to repair the human webway but needs the aid of the Custodes, Gulliman and the Ynnari to help free Jagatia from Commorragh because he has the last piece of the device.
Ahriman finally breaks into the black library but breaks his glasses and can’t read any of the books.
Abbadon keeps faking it til he makes and fails upwards with the help of the chaos gods.
Logan Grimnar finds out that Leman Russ made a wrong turn somewhere in the eye of terror and ended up in trazyns vaults. The wolves, deathwatch and Admech assault trazyns world for their own reasons.
Ghaz and angron square off on Armageddon marking the beginning of the 4th Armageddon war.
Votann and Catachan fighting off a Tyranid Hive fleet that has made its way into the galactic core and is assaulting New Catachan.
Abaddon's final crusade reaches Terra. The Emperor falls, and in his death, his ascension begins. The souls of the faithful are claimed, and the majority of mankind is either devoured by the new deity or converted into chaos daemons/marines of the new god of perfect order. The dream of a benevolent god dies with the Emperor's mortal form; in his ascendant state, he is a god of tyranny, oppression, faith, and control.
The Imperium fractures into thousands of splinter states. The Mechanicus enjoys a great deal of newfound importance as these states are dependent on them for resources and survival.
Guilliman rebukes his father and forms his own empire in Ultramar, with close ties to Cawl and the Ynnari. The Imperium as a whole is broken, and Guilliman desperately searches for his brothers in an effort to rebuild something of its former glory.
The T'au empire absorbs and annexes a huge portion of the fractured imperium, finally becoming the galactic superpower that was foretold by literally everyone in the setting with foresight.
The orks "unite" under Ghaz, and Gork and Mork take their fight to the Chaos Gods.
Meanwhile, in a desperate bid for survival, the Craftworlds form a coalition and bring each shard of Khaine together, reforging the war god. Cegorach, leading tens of thousands of harlequins, takes advantage of the hectic state of the Warp by invading Slaanesh's palace and stealing the final cronesword. Ynnead is born, Isha is freed by Khaine, and the four Eldar gods wage war against the five chaos gods in the realms of chaos themselves. Meanwhile, the Drukhari deploy superweapons by the thousand to defend the Dark City and destroy the forces of Chaos.
Szarekh unites half of the galaxy's necrons into a federation, opposed only by Imotekh, who has vassalized the other half. The struggle between the two lords of the Necrontyr is overshadowed only by the commitment of their forces to hold back the Tyranid scourge. In the mayhem, an ascendant shard of the Deceiver frees thousands of C'tan shards, and the star gods of old regain a fraction of their former power. Seeing the calamity in the Warp, they join in the brewing war to feast on the essence of gods.
The Tyranid Hive Mind initiates a mass uprising of genestealer cults, conquering a solid portion of the broken Imperium from within while the bulk of the Tyranid force begins to arrive in the galaxy. Their progress is halted by the aggression of Ghaz and Chaos, though they are forging ahead nonetheless.
Abaddon and his Black Legion persist, warring against all five chaos gods. Vowing to slay the gods themselves, Abaddon strengthens his territory in the Eye of Terror and the former Imperium Nihilus. Forsaking Chaos forever, he unites many warbands and chapters under the banner of conquering the galaxy and securing mankind's dominance over the stars.
The Imperium is reduced to a shadow of its former self while everyone else stands ascendant. The greatest war in galactic history rages, devastating the Warp and the Materium alike. A new era has begun, and a new War in Heaven shakes the stars.
Everyone has mentioned how great this is for bringing down the dominance of the imperium and making the factions feel much more equal, but the other thing I love about this that I love even more is chaos losing some control over the warp. The return of the Eldar gods in a real, useful way. The Emperor becoming a God of tyranny and control, basically the opposite of a chaos God. Gork and Mork. The ever fuckening of the warp and its multiversal nature makes it such a ridiculous thing in relation to the setting. It makes everything that happens in the material world seem like a man trying to race against a car... the only way to win would be to hijack the car, and this seems like a good way to get towards that.
Hang on, I swear I read this fanfic ten years ago, with the emperor becoming the god of order and a guilliman/eldar alliance being the only bastion of sanity in the angel vs daemon war
Emperor being a god of order isn't really a new idea. He is meant to be the antithesis of Chaos, ie Order.
I'd love to read it if you can find it though! It sounds pretty neat!
There's a good bit of 50k and 60k fanfic on 1D4chan I think it's "the shape of a nightmare to come" or something like that. Been a while but if I remember the writing flips between pretty decent and not so decent
https://www.heresy-online.net/threads/the-shape-of-the-nightmare-to-come-50k.51806/
I found it! If multiple fans had the same idea that makes it canon, right?
Awesome ideas! I love that sets up a solid return arc of more of the lost loyalist primarchs. Everyone usually hates the idea because it's "too OP for imperium" but if Big E is gone and the empire is shattered then that all changes.
I think there will have to be some kind of new tech for warp travel if the Astronomicon is gone though - some new landmark.
I’ve always thought multiple primarchs returning was more likely to doom the imperium
Sure at first they might be together under the imperial banner, but they’d be at each other’s throats on what to do in regards to the imperium as a whole pretty quick. Guilliman would go for reform, probably with Dorn, and Sanguinius, while Lion would say “this ain’t dads plan” and go to burn it all down. Joined by Russ and Corvus and who else. If that is what happens if more primarchs are returning, well I think it’ll be great for the “there is only war” aspect of the narrative, and also tragic because it’ll give Guilliman more ultra-depression
Honestly that would be the way to do it. If any major progression happens the Imperium needs to get nerfed a bit, and splinter factions would be such a great way to make it diverse and flavorful. Excellent write up
Lorgar creams himself and is the only one of Big E's sons to defect to his new godlike status.
"I ALWAYS KNEW, FATHER. I WAS ALWAYS WAITING FOR THIS. YOU ARE MORE GLORIOUS, MORE BEAUTIFUL, MORE DIVINE THAN EVEN I HAD DARED IMAGINE."
Oh man the factions would get so tasty, custodes could be forced to follow their new order/tyranny god creating an interesting dynamic of wanting to break free vs serve their emperor.
The farsight enclaves could start a real civil war against the perceived injustices of the ethereals, leaning more into honorable melee battle suits while main tau septs stay ranged.
The mechanicus would be split again between their ominissiah and cawl, creating a third faction of mechanicus.
You could have super guard that the new emperor god gives great "gifts" to finally turn humanity into the ascended beings he's always wanted.
The possibilities are endless
Isn't the Emperor the only one holding back hordes of daemons from consuming Terra through the failed webway project? Terra being destroyed would most likely be the catalyst for the splinter states.
Ghazghkull, so mad at losing his best enemy to a demon God, launches the first orc crusade. The massive force and energies are amplified In the warp, creating massive WAAAGH! Energies. Piggybacking off this, Gulliman sends some better space marines and large force of Cadian Bois assist in the demon slaughter in a one way trip. A bunch of others also piggy back (insert who here)
Ghazghkull fights his way to Khorne, and in the moment of getting absolutely wrecked, gork and mork fill him with energy, and he straight up OHK Khorne, as Khorne falls dead, and the battlefield silent, Ghazghkull is killed with the warps energies, and becomes the new chaos god of War, able to stand with gork and mork in the forever battles of the warp and chaos.
"The Eleventh Hour"
By some warpous calamity, the various "two-legs good" factions find themselves on the brink of annihilation, beset by Tyranids. Alliances of necessity form on cratered battlefields, as bitter foes fight against the writhing tides intent on their total destruction. Across the galaxy, there is no where safe. A glimmer of hope comes for the Imperium, as psykers and seers detect a force from beyond drawn to the conflict. Portals appear on a thousand thousand worlds, and surely some relief must be coming.
Through the gates come the Skaven, their billions blotting out the face of the very planets they invade. This is what the Tyranids were running from.
The eleventh hour is upon the Galaxy.
History repeats itself.
All the primarchs return as their loyalist selfs after a long arduous journey. Clones, redemption, penance, and so forth.
Once all of the primarchs are united, both physically and in spirit, they all agreed it's time to finish the Emperor's 'Crusade' and save humanity, each having their own reason. The Emperor's long term plan finally came to fruition. However, instead of being led by the Emperor's iron fist, they will do it right this time: their way.
The first Primarch summit is called in over 10 millennia and after much deliberation, they all agreed: the current Imperium must go.
The slow and bloated bureaucracy, the over zealous ecclesiarchy, the corrupt governors, the unjust arbiters, and so forth. All of it must go. Before Guilliman was but just 1 man, but now they have 19 Primarchs.
The High Lords of Terra catch wind of this and declare all the Primarchs traitors to the Imperium! Full scale civil war ensues between the collective Primarchs/ Space Marines and the rest of humanity.
Space Marines are fewer, but not limited techno heresy dogma with more efficient logistics.
Are the Primarchs actually pushing for utopia or their own Iron Fisted rule? Don't know.
Opens to non-human alliances as well.
Tau become more of a halo covenant and it's actually represented on the table top
10th edition is Xenos time!
* Fuegan has rallied Yme-Loc, Biel-Tan, a Ynnari warhost and half a dozen lesser craftworlds to fight Typhus' newest sickfuckery. While he will lose, never fear Chaos fans: that dickhead will do stuff to people that will make Honson feel like a moral man.
* Imotekh launches an assault on the Nephilin sector in a attempt to humble the Silent King, who is in a crucial step of his experiments to reverse biotransference. As the greatest military genius of the Necron race fights its former ruler, Imperials in Nihilus can only hope the violence doesn't spiral in his faltering domains.
* Hive Fleets Leviathan and Kronos intercept the 4th Indominus Fleet, growing stronger and weakening Chaos, but the Imperials have no confort as splinters start to move to their territory.
* Uthar the Destined and the Votaans fights Celestine and Morvenn over a resource rich sector filled with shrine worlds. Celestine doesn't really care for the system but won't stand idle while the Squats torment the faithful. Morveen, for her side, is in to defend the shrines and the people better pull their weight against the abhumans.
* Vect makes his grand return to the galaxy by attacking the Segmentum Solar in a never seen before slave raiding spree. Urusula, Leontus and Inquisitor Druxus have to pool their smart and knowledge together to stand against the evil genius.
* Kais leads the 6th Sphere of Expansion in Nihilus, going full Great Crusade while Shadowsun, having received a new rejuvenant treatment developed after researching Imperial tech, tries to balance his ruthlessness with a more tactful approach which shows the best side of the Tau.
* Farsight is also active. Having cut a secret deal with Lion, he is helping him to secure areas that had previously pledge fealty and giving Tau weapons in exchange of anti-daemonic stuff. Farsight ains to strengthen the galaxy against Chaos, Lion wants to establish his own Ultramar to dissuade retaliation from the High Lords of Terra now the I Legion is back.
Tbh im not even an Eldar player. Im just annoyed a storyline got left out for the crows.
And personally? I'd like to see them weaken Slaanesh but not defeat them, then you could have the Twins from AoS in 40k, leading Slaanesh's forces whilst Slaanesh licks their wounds.
Side with the Nids in hopes of wiping out all life. The Nids’ Warp-Shadow will erase the Demons and create a clean slate in the warp when they move on, so Eldar souls can finally find relief. If life ever returns to the galaxy, the warp won’t be as tempestuous for a long time. The Eldar(s souls) can build a new all-psychic civilization in the next world, essentially making themselves the architects of heaven. They could even intervene in fledgeling civilizations to set themselves up as Gods and guide them and try to make them more religious in order to govern the flow of psychic energies into the warp, since they live there now. And reward their loyal followers when they die and land there. That’s the plan on paper anyway.
I'd quit flirting with the destruction of terra and the "death" of the emperor, I'd pull the trigger.
Abaddon brings the might of chaos to terra, personally pulls the emperor off of the golden throne, and dies when the talisman of seven hammers goes off. Dante stops Abaddon from killing the emperor with drach'ny, earning him his rest, and allowing the emperor to ascend to being a full chaos power.
The age of the IoM is over, without the astronomicon the imperium can't maintain cohesion and dozens of successor states arise, including one led by our boy Bobby g. Things aren't great for chaos though, with much of their forces dead with the destruction of terra, and no warmaster to lead them the remaining chaos forces quickly fall to infighting.
Basically it's Europe post fall of the Roman empire, everything sucks, no where is safe, and the foreseeable future is worse. The one shining aspect of hope is the emperor's ascent.
The necrons realize that tyranids are a bad option for reverse biotransference (even trazyn can barely contain his), so a new necron warlord is put in charge of their extermination, halting some of their expansion into imperium and tau space (he also massacres populations with genestealers, so not a good guy. Humans are just the best cattle for them)
Maybe it’s the seeds of a human necron alliance, if you want to get radical with it. Humans Also treat imperial citizens as cattle
The emperor unplugs himself to be reforged into Sigmar because he'd rather be In that setting than facing 10 millenia of child support for guillaman. Once he sees the emperor is dead...guilliman commits suicide and the Lion reveals the dark angels have been chaos all along. Chaos envelopes the imperium. Tyranids eat all the blood angels and murder everything in a tide of seeing horus everywhere only to be locked in a stalemate against the only race dumb enough to fight forever because they believed they could win....the orks
I'd like to see the Emporer fighting battles that is out of sight from the rest of the imperium. Like trying to hold back the webway and keeping the astronomicon lit. As well as perhaps working with beings that are also on different planes to keep the imperium safe.
Also would like some historical lore on the Nids. Like maybe a rogue trader team or even squats who, in order to find better ways of fighting the Tyranids, try locating the Nids home system and possible prior enemies
Turns out Rogal Dorn did not die. He is located on a random world helping build infrastructure turns out he’s been doing this the entire time he was gone. Idk I just want a dorn model to sit next to my Ghilliesuitman model
Rowboat girlyman teams up with the silent king to draw the Tyranids into the calestrix. Using the combined might of multiple hive fleets and their shadow in the warp they slowly start closing the great rift. Necrons use their near invulnerability to the Tyranids to keep them contained while the imperium and Eldar draw them into the rift. Vashtor gets his last relics in the distraction and gets gazhghull to join in a legendary krumping against the worlds left undefended by the imperium and Eldar and necrons. Chaos launches a desperate gambit against Terra in the confusion and vashtor has a private audience with the emperor right before the great rift is closed and most of the Tyranids go dormant or are lost in the Warp. Vashtor and Abaddon disappear as does the golden throne and the emperor. No astronomicon no great rift and a galaxy fractured by the last desperate battles of everything fighting everyone. And robot guilyman and the silent king having to come to terms with the cost of their victory
My one great fan prediction/idea. The nids have ransacked the entire galaxy and pushed the imperium and any and all allied factions to a last stand on Terra. Sensing the battle that's about to go down, a fully krorked out Ghaz shows up with a fully united Ork empire armada inadvertently saving terra, the imperium, and its allies. Having been allowed to grow unimpeded while the Tyranids scoured the galaxy, the great WAAAGH crushes the Tyranids fleets but suffers such horrendous losses that Ghazs armada is left in ruin. Having won, Ghaz gets to stay juiced up on krork juice, but is forced to retreat from terra and the Orks and tyranids are reset to a low level threat for the time being.
Ghazgkhull faces down either one of the Demon Primarchs or the Silent King, and bodies them completely. This leads into the development of the Krork and their release as a new knight-style faction, which thematically heralds a return of the Old Ones further onwards, with dozens of hidden facilities claimed by these newly intelligent Krork. This is accompanied by a major swing by the Necrons who attempt to nip this in the bud only to end up adding another side to the Octarius war, setting it into a terrifying spiral towards fears of a War-in-Heaven level of escalation, pumping out new Krork honed by the conflict and created with Old One tech, while the Tyranids start becoming far more terrifying in response and the Necrons struggle to contain or even combat either.
Vastorr attempts to seek out a new source of mechanical power and launches an assault against the Webway, rallying dozens of independent raiders and pirates to his efforts, causing a fracture and split between him and Abaddon. While unsuccessful in his efforts, Huron Blackheart accompanied Vashtorr’s forces with his own pirate fleet, and managed to breach Commorragh itself. Vect’s control over Commorragh is dramatically weakened and a bevy of new Deldar and Corsair characters are introduced thanks to part of the Webway imploding as a result of this, and creating a real space breach allowing for direct access into Commorragh, finally forcing the Deldar into a defensive conflict. Basically chaos pirates versus Eldar pirates.
Primaris and Firstborn are merged into one group within the space marines, and the Imperium falls into even more factions as civil conflict grips the Imperium upon the return of the Lion, who begins countermanding orders from Guilliman. While not intentional, it kicks the ball off to dozens of idiotic civil conflicts within the Imperium, because it’s been a long while since and we need to point out how fucking stupid and wasteful the Imperium can be.
a small eldar recovery squad on a mission to recover soul stones find one that seems slightly off, they bring it back to their warlock who recognizes the stone and tells them to destroy it.
after some arguing about why destroying a soul stone is bad thats when their tiny ship is raided by chaos space marines, after the eldar are slaughtered a space marine picks up the stone they were arguing about then puts it in an empty wraith constructs slot.
the construct stirs and the space marine says "hello father" almost excitedly as the constructs hand grabs his helmet crushing it whilst saying "you're not my son, you're a pale immitation of my night lords"
cue dramatic effects as konrad curze rises once more.
The Tyranids suddenly become super uncoordinated, erratic and confused. Acting on their own, not communicating, that sort of thing. It's eventually revealed that the central hive mind is gone. Dead. And whatever killed it is coming.
The emperor starts coming back to power slowly, he starts speaking coherently again but it seems that the emperor has lost his way and become more and more tyrannical, Guillemot and his other imperial friends stab the emperor . The emperors last words are: et tu robute
Guilliman wakes up after a really strange dream about "primary marines" made by some weirdo and space marines just get better proportioned models instead of becoming tacticool craftworld eldar
Farsight and Leman Russ team up to free Isha from Nurgle's garden. farsight ends up in the warp because of a warp travel accident (using an experimental T'au warp drive, which had NOT been thoroughly tested) and decides to help -say it with me- for the greater good. Leman wants to free Isha in order to heal the emperor. hijinks ensue. when they arrive, Isha's power has been sapped so much that She is now mortal, but still akin to the power of a primarch.
The Ynnari are on the verge of reawakening Ynnead. One last cronesword is needed, but it is in the hands of Shalaxi Hellbane, a Keeper of Secrets who has hidden it deep within Slaanesh's realm.
Yvraine feels all hope is lost at unlocking the Seventh Path, until she is approached by an extremely unlikely ally: Szarek, the last Silent King of the Necrons, who seeks to right his past wrongs during the War in Heaven, a war he did not wish to bring about.
Together, the Ynnari Eldar and the Szarekhan Dynasty siege Slaanesh's domain and retreive the cronesword, reawakening Ynnead. While Slaanesh has grown too powerful to be destroyed completely by the Ynnead, the Eldar's ties to the Chaos God are severed and Eldar are allowed to freely reincarnate without fear (or at least less fear) of being consumed by Slaanesh.
He broke out of the dark cells underneath terra. This primarch landed on a planet that was in the eye of terror. In doing so he was already exposed to the warp and was left disfigured. When he was found by the emperor. He imprisoned his son and expunged his legion to keep all information of him suppressed.
That would be so sick to be honest. Just a renegade primarch out for blood solo. Could make for a great loose canon character not tied down by faction allegiances and imperial dogma, but with the actual ability to mess some peoples days up since he’s a primarch. Would spice things up a lot
Orks win Armageddon. Raname it to Ullanor. Ghaz becomes even bigger. Discovers original krork purpose was to fight the necrons. Goes on a Waaaagh directly aimed at the silent king while the SK is off fighting nids. Giant three way Xeno battle ensues.
Vulkan rolls up with his remaining artifacts and tries to rebuild the Imperial webway while sending his boys to help the Ynnari weaken Slaanesh and empower Ynnead via a ritual which ends up succeeding thanks to Eldrad pulling a Just As Planned
Ghazgull beats the snot out of Angron for killing Yarrick and then proceeds to beat up the Black Templars very very badly
Abbadon has a very successful offensive into Imperium Nihilus alongside a Necron surge which causes discussions on whether to just abandon and evacuate it or not, leading to rifts in the Blood Angels
The Tau figure out, sort of, that Chaos is a thing and try to Science! A way to beat it while asking the Imperium, politely, if they too have heard of these nasty warp spirits and any ways to counter them
Another Tyranid Hivefleet arrives, only to brush up against an Ork Waaagh, leading to the biggest clusterfuck that nobody important has to deal with.
The Necrons attack the Imperium full-force, drawing Guiliman to the frontlines where Trazyn yoinks him in a PokeBall. This demoralizing catastrophe leads to an imperial route, and the Necrons converge on Cadia.
Chaos fractures as the Gods are faced with Necrons shutting the eye of terror. A good chunk of it's forces go to the Eye of Terror, but Abbadon starts a crusade to Terra because of the Imperium's losses.
Guiliman gets jailbroken by eldar, and we get a silly montage of Trazyn running through his museum awakening his dynasty left and right as more units get revived. A webway portal gets opened and shatters, holes into the warp get ripped ajar, and Guiliman manages to find Fulgrim's clone and have a terse reunion before they escape. Trazyn's fate is left unclear, but his Dynasty is waking up in a big way.
The Necrons manage to suture the Eye of Terror, and now they have a large swath of space conquered, rather than potentially billions of slumbering tombworlds.
Abbadon's fleet rips through Imperial space, intent on Terra.
The Orks are getting slaughtered wholesale since their Waagh hasn't had time to build, and now the Votaan and Tau have a big problem on their doorstep.
Eldar suddenly don't have a huge warp rift sucking their souls out. Exodites are heard to be traveling 'homeward'. Celebratory orgies ensue, probably. Dark Eldar civil wars, same old shit really.
Guiliman and Clonegrim prepare to counter Abbadon's fleet, but aren't in position to halt them before they real Sol.
A space marine(lets go ultta marine cause Im a lil bitch), an eldar, an ork, and a tau put aside their differences to stop a tryanid invasion/necron tombworld opening up.
Theyre assisted by an adeptus mechanicus, doctor boy, and whatever the engineer of tau/eldars are called.
They successfully quell the invasion and the necrons, and as they stand victorious they all look at each other prous of what they did and accomplished with so little people.
Then they pull out their weapons on each other, and fade with the text 'there is only war'.
Thank you for coming to my 'what I wanted dark tide to be' talk.
Squats get squatted trying to fix Golden Throne, Big E finally dies and is reborn in Ferrus Manus’ body, but for story reasons the head cannot be attached, so it floats around the body on a leash
Someone manages to break into Slaanesh’s palace, steals the last Cronesword, escapes, gets it back to Yvraine and the Ynnari, Ynnead is subsequently awoken and Slaanesh *fuckin’* **dies**. Aeldar victory under Ynnari win condition.
The Lamenters come back from their penitent crusade with a fully functional Gloriana outfitted with all the DaoT bells and whistles, enshrining them forever as heroes.
Beach episode
What happens? Who gets sunburned?
Guilliman.
But feel like he’d be the one guy to be always wearing the perfect amount of sunscreen.
Dorn too. It's russ that would get sunburnt. Him being ginger and all that. Also maybe the lion. As for konrad and corvus. They'll just have parasols with t-shirts that say "bite me" on them
"Hey Corvus, Konrad, you guys coming to the beach?" Corvus and Konrad: https://i.redd.it/1vginl4no6oa1.gif
I think this fits better https://www.tiktok.com/@2shadowsofficial/video/7115542410708520197?lang=en
"Father, shouldn't we put sunscreen on? Nostroman skin isn't particularly-" "JAGO, I'M ONLY AN ELECTED OFFICIAL! I CAN'T BE EXPECTED TO MAKE THESE DECISIONS!"
> They'll just have parasols with t-shirts that say "bite me" on them Hive Tyrant: It's free real estate
Him coming from a greek based planet I think he will actually handle the sun really well. Id be more concerned for Covrus
he's fake Greek
Roman, not Greek
*Macragge flashbacks intensify*
I'm not sure but I imagine Angron running to the waves like a happy oversized dog TTS Dorn is building a sand castle and Magnus is reading a book in the shadow of an umbrella, cliché and obligatory
I imagine them standing under the pier doing shady shit with the other shady individuals.
The other shady individuals are also Alpharius.
Mortarion is off trudging through tide pools looking at critters, and coming up covered in algae and seaweed and pretending not to be having a blast
That one Alfabusa video you know which
Yeah that tracks.
Magnus... Forgot his sunblock again.
He can get awful red
finally, concrete proof of whether or not t'au have boobs
omg big brain i want answers
If this was an anime, the character would have their chest conveniently censored by random objects passing by, so we'd never know.
Wait no. If this was an anime, they'd absolutely have boobs, on account of being an anime.
They do, four by the crotch. They *are* cows after all.
I regret reading this
Normandy?
lmao that's one grimdark beach episode
We’ll need a second separate xeno Beach episode… ya know for a friend
I'm a friend, it's for me
Imperials vs chaos volley ball fight while trazyn tries to steal the ball because it was signed by the emperor.
Ghazkull gets shot in the head again and realizes “da biggest, baddest foight is krumpin’ da gitz wot inside ya.” Gork and Mork are allegories for the fight between ego and id. Becomes an Ork Buddha and leads the Orks in a Waaagh against the self to reach “da Green Nervaner” Billions die.
Billions die… Perfect.
Low casualties Neat
Basically no one dies?! This isn't very w40k like.
tldr; 40K
Love Ghaz doing yoga, he’s probably very flexible
I want zen Orks in the setting more than anything. They can connect with the waaaaagh field in a special way and win solely through psychological damage.
'Motionul dakka!
DA WAAAGH! ENT ABOWT DA DAKKA IN YUR 'ANDZ, BUT RAVVER DA DAKKA IN YUR HART.
I like that still allows for orange Buddhist robes because I don't think there's a cannon (kannon?) Thing for the colour orange in ork belief. Orange is orky inner peace cus it clashes with the green so well. Love it.
WELL YE SEE NOW YER GONNA WANNA SIT DOWN AND FINK ABOUT DIS ONE ORANGE IS YELLOW AND RED, ROIGHT? SO IF YOU WEAR YELLOW AND RED YER GONNA REACH NERVANER FASTAH AND EXPLODE WHEN YOU GET DERE IT'Z PERFECT!
So yes if you paint a missile yellow and red it will in fact fly faster and explode bigger.
... Ork Bob Ross is the most blursed thing I've ever imagined. I want five minis of him.
The Emperor wakes up after reforging and realizes he's been in Age of Sigmar the whole time. /s
-"where are the tomb kings?" -"The who?" -"Nooooooooooo"
“The Bretonnians, are they safe?”
It seems, GW, that in your greed... you discontinued them.
Best I can do is he comes back as a slann memory, but he's dummy thick and shoots lasers out of his eyes.
A fate worse than death
Quick reminder that this isn’t a post about whether it’s good or bad to advance the narrative of 40k. There are definitely good arguments that it should focus on being a setting instead of telling a story, but that’s neither here nor there. This post is for us to have fun speculating and memeing new lore for the game.
Ferrus is resurrected into a body of a men of iron.
NOW YOURE SPEAKING MY LANGUAGE
A man of iron… sitting in the vault of The Rock Lion wakes up from the sound of Ferrus’ screams of elation for having achieved robotic perfection
bipboopbopbip
That's.... that's not terrible, or he like backed his consciousness up in some project.
i had a shitty fanfic idea that ferrus backed his brain up, but it's on a usb stick in a folder called "homework"
Sounds hot. Get Archon on the line.
Tag him coward
He’s the Iron Man with his Iron Hands inside and Iron Man. I like it.

Old school gritty 40k, good stuff.
The absolute goodest.
Oh, and gw gives us more tau auxiliary species while they're at it
If *anyone ever* bought tau auxiliaries they'd probably make more lol
If kroot and Vespid weren't old as hell with ... iffy models and some compelling rules they'd see more use/sales.
It's the old wfb argument all over again -They squatted them because nobody bought them -Well yeah, their rules were awful and their models worse !
I got some old ass tau for free, so I have more than a few kroot in my boxes. I quite like their rules, tbh, I love the early move, and the shaper helps a bunch. Hounds are cheap and annoying and fast lol
Kroot are physically much stronger than ordinary humans
Depends on what they eat
You can read their wiki, they are 8ft tall and i quote « kroot musculature is extremely powerful and composed of dense fibre spindle with a greater power-to-mass ratio than is found in humans » 🤓
Kharne has a change of heart and dedicates his hours to feeding orphans and helping widows.
The big softie
What a swell guy
Reminds me of kiryu from the Yakuza games
Honestly let Khorne go back to being the god of honorable combat. Sending fleshhounds out against dishonourable fighters and protecting the meek.
I'd actually be down with the different emissaries of chaos all being *too* dedicated to their chaos god and fucking things up for them.
He *is* a pretty swell guy. Could honestly see this.
Gorillaman and Farsight Buddy Cop Arc
He’s a good cop from a corrupt society. He’s a rebel from a striving society. Together they will have to learn from their differences and make justice reign. Rowboat Girlyman and Farsight combine forces in: GREATER GOOD-ER! Coming soon this summer.
Now which one is played by Jackie Chan and which one by Chris Tucker?
We all know who. I need Chris Tucker speaking through a battlesuit, almost as much as I need Jackie Chan in power armor saying "LEAVE ME ALON!" And proceeding to beat the fuck out of angron
“Guilliman, are the rumors true about you and Yvraine?” “No comment… but yes.”
Also Gillman: "I am to old for this crap."
![gif](giphy|MqYTOkQv2T5oJfaHbs|downsized)
Exactly!
I like the way you're thinking
Nah given the rate things seem to be going it's Lion and Farsight time. Rowboat got his Eldar Gurl and now Lion will get his Tau Boi. Realistically if Lion comes back I'd imagine that yes he'll get some kind of pairing with a Xenos leader to allow a broader relevance for Xenos in what is a Chaos and Imperium saturated story.
I like that this is going on lore-wise because Tau will get relevance but sadly I could not care less about Lion or maybe I'm just one lore dive away from liking the guy.
But he’s such a sweet guy! And his taste in media is impeccable.
Learned so much from his daily reviews.
I vote for this one r/fuckerebus
>Ahriman finally breaks into the black library but breaks his glasses and can’t read any of the books. IT'S NOT FAIR! THERE WAS *TIME* NOW!
"good thing I know Braile" \*hands fall off\*
Im not the biggest fan of more primarchs but overall a good effort
Jesus that's more like "welcome to our new setting: Warhammer 50,000"
That's the idea! Imagine a new tabletop game where you can put T'au railguns on your leman russ tanks and Eldar shuriken cannons on your skitarii 🤤
So second edition?
Second edition with newer models and (hopefully) better rules
Proper high effort post. Good raising of the stakes overall. A+ ![gif](giphy|XreQmk7ETCak0)
Warhammer 40k: Age of Angron
Angron embarks on a quest to suplex the Sanguinor
Finally realizing, that the emperor was the Great Horned Squat
If I had money I'd give this one an award - so here is my poor man's award ![gif](giphy|3Gm15eZOsNk0tptIuG)
Been a while but if I remember the writing flips between pretty decent and not so decent
https://www.heresy-online.net/threads/the-shape-of-the-nightmare-to-come-50k.51806/ I found it!
I’ve always thought multiple primarchs returning was more likely to doom the imperium Sure at first they might be together under the imperial banner, but they’d be at each other’s throats on what to do in regards to the imperium as a whole pretty quick.
I think the Emperor-God with his realm in the Warp might sort something out.
Yup, that's what I was going for
This is unironically awesome as shit.
As awesome as this sounds, GW has a hard on for the Imperium, so them losing is a no go. Gotta sell them minis for $$$...
See, but this turns the Imperium into *actual underdogs*, meaning they can pull even crazier minis and victories out of their asses
Someone give this man a job!
GW should hire you. Like seriously.
I actually like this a lot. Evens the playing field on all sides.
Plans arise to send the tyranid invasion directly into the warp which results in some DOOM like shenanigans
Chaos hates them! Find out how to get infinite tyranid food with this one simple trick!
Actually, Tyranids canonically cannot feed on or adapt to Chaos. It's the one faction that's practically immune to their infestation.
A bunch of others also piggy back (insert who here) Ghazghkull fights his way to Khorne, and in the moment of getting absolutely wrecked, gork and mork fill him with energy, and he straight up OHK Khorne, as Khorne falls dead, and the battlefield silent, Ghazghkull is killed with the warps energies, and becomes the new chaos god of War, able to stand with gork and mork in the forever battles of the warp and chaos.
Common Ghaz W
Ghaz is such a chad
Ghaz uppercutting khorne is a incredible image
I want Commander Farsight and Guilliman to have a Duel of the Fates with their cool swords
Gman would win bc ultramarines doh.
Probably! Even if he was injured as a primarch he's got the advantage. But man would it be cool...
I'm bringing Ciaphas Cain back as a Living Saint and nobody can stop me. Also throw in a story about a redeemed Chaos Astartes just for flavor.
Its your party and you can Cain if you want to
"The Eleventh Hour" By some warpous calamity, the various "two-legs good" factions find themselves on the brink of annihilation, beset by Tyranids.
Yes yes good good man flesh
Good civil war angle
The emperor gets a text to speech device
Horus Heresy 2 Electric Bugaloo
Whose leading it?
Horus 2

Good stuff, good stuff.
Focus on the Non-Imperials for a bit. Give the Ynnari and Harlequins more to do, rather than hanging them out to dry.
I sense some Eldar grievance in this post. But what would you have them do?
You forget that every shrine world starts glowing gold in the warp, with each of them easing a martyred lady to lead crusades into the reams of chaos.
The necrons realize that tyranids are a bad option for reverse biotransference (even trazyn can barely contain his), so a new necron warlord is put in charge of their extermination, halting some of their expansion into imperium and tau space (he also massacres populations with genestealers, so not a good guy. Humans are just the best cattle for them) Maybe it’s the seeds of a human necron alliance, if you want to get radical with it. Humans Also treat imperial citizens as cattle
Well Necrons already consider all other races insects so that tracks.
Green iz best
I'd like to see the Emporer fighting battles that is out of sight from the rest of the imperium. Like trying to hold back the webway and keeping the astronomicon lit. As well as perhaps working with beings that are also on different planes to keep the imperium safe. Also would like some historical lore on the Nids. Like maybe a rogue trader team or even squats who, in order to find better ways of fighting the Tyranids, try locating the Nids home system and possible prior enemies
I can see an interesting Lost in Space-esque book about finding the origin of the Tyranids. Solid concept.
Turns out Rogal Dorn did not die. He is located on a random world helping build infrastructure turns out he’s been doing this the entire time he was gone. Idk I just want a dorn model to sit next to my Ghilliesuitman model
World will have the best infrastructure in the Imperium
![gif](giphy|qN7NZR3Q5R2mY|downsized)
While not intentional, it kicks the ball off to dozens of idiotic civil conflicts within the Imperium, because it’s been a long while since and we need to point out how fucking stupid and wasteful the Imperium can be.
a small eldar recovery squad on a mission to recover soul stones find one that seems slightly off, they bring it back to their warlock who recognizes the stone and tells them to destroy it. after some arguing about why destroying a soul stone is bad thats when their tiny ship is raided by chaos space marines, after the eldar are slaughtered a space marine picks up the stone they were arguing about then puts it in an empty wraith constructs slot. the construct stirs and the space marine says "hello father" almost excitedly as the constructs hand grabs his helmet crushing it whilst saying "you're not my son, you're a pale immitation of my night lords" cue dramatic effects as konrad curze rises once more.
Can’t keep a good Kurze down
The Tyranids suddenly become super uncoordinated, erratic and confused.
Short king defender, based.
Big E dies. Becomes 5th Chaos god. Humanity is a chaos faction. Done
Pro: cleaning up a story GW dropped Con: Eldar winning? Not allowed.

11th legion primarch shows up
What’s he been up to?
Vulkan rolls up with his remaining artifacts and tries to rebuild the Imperial webway while sending his boys to help the Ynnari weaken Slaanesh and empower Ynnead via a ritual which ends up succeeding thanks to Eldrad pulling a Just As Planned Ghazgull beats the snot out of Angron for killing Yarrick and then proceeds to beat up the Black Templars very very badly Abbadon has a very successful offensive into Imperium Nihilus alongside a Necron surge which causes discussions on whether to just abandon and evacuate it or not, leading to rifts in the Blood Angels The Tau figure out, sort of, that Chaos is a thing and try to Science!
Error: Eldar are never allowed to win.
The Lamenters come back from their penitent crusade with a fully functional Gloriana outfitted with all the DaoT bells and whistles, enshrining them forever as heroes.
Somehow palpatine return.
