Was their solution to poor ductwork just putting in a larger capacity system? I’ve dealt with this before with our own sales guys who can be morons sometimes with their interesting theories on how this stuff works. Also r/hvacadvice is the subreddit you are looking for, this sub is not for homeowners

*waves hand* this is not the sub you are looking for

No. I had 4 ton system replaced by 4 ton system with a larger 18 inch return and some duct adjustment. The whole point of doing the duct work I thought was that I would have better air circulation. My old ducts were in pretty good condition

An 18” duct is undersized for a 4 ton. Assuming 400 cfm per ton

The franchise owner is not beholden to corporate. They license the name and management materials, but they are not managed themselves. If the company refuses to fix the problem leave a review and sue if that’s your prerogative. In the future - if someone doesn’t know how to quote the job correctly, they don’t know how to do the job correctly. Get multiple quotes. Dont take the cheapest.

All we need is “one hour” to empty your wallet🤣 They have your money +10%. They got what they wanted. Unfortunately they don’t care about your issues. A decent contractor would blow your drains out. It only takes minutes.
