If it's brand new you should still have a warranty and whomever installed it should come out and figure out what is wrong.

I would shut it off until they get there and open some windows.

‐ Is setpoint below room temperature - Does the compressor start when setpoint reduces

Currently I have the setpoint at 71 while the temp inside the house is at 83. And yes I can hear the compressor blowing and pulling through the filter.

Do you have airflow coming through the vents?

There is airflow.

Outside unit have debris on the coil?

Open a window till tomorrow
