E-Town

HurricaneAlpha

With 25 ta Life opening. And you know Rick got that flea market set up.

Old_Recording_2527

Nah, i think this would be a Stikman fronted one. Rick would be talking shit in the comments saying they're a fake, stolen band.

ekathegermanshepherd

Rick might also be wearing clothing backwards in 2024.

i really regret not buying this when i saw them around 2018

TheGreatReno

There it is! I thought a band used this design semi recently. Didn’t someone else use this on a white shirt in the late 00’s/early 2010’s?? I might be thinking of a similar looney tunes adjacent design.

truck_de_monster

y'all know this is from Kris Kross, right? i'm not the only one old enough to have dressed this way right??? RIGHT?!?! yes i for real wore my clothes backwards for a bit in the 90s

LeftTheStation

"Kris Kross'll make you jump jump. " Shit was all over the radio. House of Pain did it better.

truck_de_monster

saying jump? i'd say van halen did it better than house of pain.

Confucius6969

I had this shirt. The back was their backs with the clothes frontwards.

VileStench

I remember being in elementary school with my starter Miami Hurricanes baseball jersey and Levi’s on backwards singing “I missed the bus” down the hallways.

truck_de_monster

and thats "somthing that you'll neva eva do againnnnn?"

newdietzrising

I don't think I understood what people meant by "core memory unlocked" until I read these comments. Holy shit I think I just time-traveled.

sattyspritz

30+ years later and I’m only now noticing their clothes are on backwards. I had the shirt too

hamwarmer

You missed the bus.

xjfwx

Old man that ordered that Kris Kross CD from Columbia House here, I can vouch for this.

IceCreamSnowVTG

I went as a “rapper” for Halloween in 3rd grade - wore the backwards clothes and carried a boombox around town. It was not good.

JunetheLune

This poster was hanging in the dentist office I went to as a kid and I always thought they looked sick as fuck. 90’s Vision of Disorder vibes

12gwar18

Limp Bizkit obv

LeftTheStation

I honestly cannot believe the resurgence they are having.

Definite64

I grew up in a town where they were still pretty popular after their heyday and having Limp Bizkit suddenly become cool again is my worst nightmare at this point

LeftTheStation

Its just high school all over again, I have to cross my eyes and walk away every time my niece mentions them.

12gwar18

Woah woah woah they’re actually popular again? Like popular enough to be in the thoughts of the youth?? That’s insane, I don’t know who they’re appealing to.

slowNsad

It was like an ironic thing at first now dudes my age love them. Of all the nu metal acts to comeback LB is definitely my least favorite

12gwar18

Oh Jesus does he still do that whiny thing with his voice

ALampMeeting

So, all his vocals?

12gwar18

Haters just mad because their waffle’s soggy and my bizkit’s limp

Zealousideal_Row5607

I went to a show at Gilman and there was a couple girls in their early twenties wearing these shirts. It’s still fucking weird to me. Where did they get them? Why?

genericusername45023

Seeing what kids wear these days makes me wish I'd held onto the weird Simpsons bootlegs and sports/NASCAR shirts from my youth. I see these weirdos paying two or three hundred for shit my folks got us from the flea market.

ButtplugSludge

So fucking true. That and my generous cassette collection of 90s grunge, metal, alt, and hip-hop.

genericusername45023

I had a Hootie and the Blowfish cassingle my parents got me because they couldn't afford to waste money on the full album. The amount of times I listened to "Let Her Cry" was ridiculous.

palehorse413x

I had seven Mary three cumbersome.

genericusername45023

Just seeing the name of that song has it stuck in my head.

wikipuff

Bootleg Bart and Black Bart? Those shirts are $150+ on eBay dude.

papajim22

Maybe from their parents.

Zealousideal_Row5607

Perhaps coming from a culture-less white desert community is the reason why I didn’t get it then. Be that as it may, one can imagine a dirt ball from the desert isn’t going to acquire an abundance of culture (I mean I’m almost 40 still moshing and stage diving). So, again I ask why.

Strange-Anybody-8647

Do you mean old Looney Tunes shirts, or the stuff Bugs and Taz are wearing in the picture? If you mean old Looney Tunes, Simpsons, Disney, etc, it's partly because that stuff is old and becoming less and less common. It's partly because the 90s were also the transitional period from classic single stitch construction to modern double stitch construction, so shirts truly aren't constructed that way anymore. It's also because the 90s were kind of like the swan song for domestic manufacturing. A lot of those old shirts were still MiUSA or MiCAN. And the Disney stuff was often super high quality too! A lot of old Disney Store stuff had really fussy and complicated full-embroidered graphics. The prices this stuff goes for can be pretty out of control though. It's wild to me that a pair of JNCOs will go for two or three hundred bucks now.

I don’t know but it reminds me of a Halloween show my band put on in the early 90’s. It was two dollars off if you were in costume, and Kris Kross were very popular at the time. People kept just turning their clothes around, and saying they were dressed as them for the discount.
