He's an ancient entity who stalks the woods, a creature mothers and fathers warn their children of, lest they be swept away and dragged into the darkness it dwells in. Some may scoff at the tales it inspires, but do they have the confidence to hunt this elusive creature?
Honestly, when I make nightmare/shadow creatures like these, I like to call them by the emotion they instill, or emotions they embody; in this case, I feel one word encapsulates both its name and purpose.
