Probably the salary/bonus structure that you were told about when you accepted the promotion.

Nice_Hope_8852

Agreed. I was offered a promotion and the salary was 6k below my desired compensation. I countered, and they there kinda shocked, thinking I just was gonna accept it. They stayed firm, though I was willing to meet at a figure in the middle. I declined the position based on the compensation. From working retail management, I've learned that a promotion has to be worth it and don't just accept it because it's more money or better title or whatever.

RedditNationalist

Seriously though, Reddit is a better source than his employer

PhilosopherLow2507

I didn’t accept the promotion I was told I’m on track for a promotion I don’t know what the salary is of the position above me

TMLeafs16

I’m totally convinced that corporate intentionally makes these sorts of hires to make life harder for us at the store level.

PhilosopherLow2507

Bro what? Was seeing if another PM could give me their salary bc I haven’t been promoted yet what are you yapping about

cavalierish

Bold to assume anyone from corporate is in this subreddit.

softmod

There are, but the chances of someone posting their salary is near zero lol

SeattleSuckss

I am, lol

PhilosopherLow2507

The sub Reddits description is hangout for Home Depot associates??

cavalierish

That’s fair. I just think you would be hard pressed to find someone in this sub complaining about too many meetings or being heckled via email/zoom. It’s nearly always store associates struggling. The odds of someone answering your question are very, very slim.

What do you do as an Associate Product Manager? I used to work at HD years ago and saw the job listing in the break room. Looked it up and the job description doesn't give any real details and everything on the internet is extremely vague. So, whats the average day like? What the hell do you actually do?

PhilosopherLow2507

Basically your job is to manage a team of software engineers to build a product. You along side your higher ups pick what gets built and when. Meaning new software features being added the website or enhancements for existing apps and systems.
