The fact that it is exists and sold is seriously mind blowing. I did a quick recipe search and it can be made with less than 5 ingredients. I'll experiment over the weekend and see how it tastes
Ginger root tea has been my alternative go-to lately with being sick & all.
Have the root peeled, chopped up into slices or bits & sitting @ the bottom of the cup of hot water to steep for a good couple of mins (10 seems a well rounded amount of time). Drain out the ginger root bits if you like, then add some lemon drops + honey. Your tea will be therapeutic & a bit punchy (depending on how much ginger root you threw in there)
Everyone is saying tea, thats great for this.
However, my hydration method for this situation is always to chug as much as healthily possible at once so medium hurt few seconds over little hurt many hours.
I learned that water can still be soothing when I'm sick when I stopped drinking exclusively cold water and tried different temperatures. Now I don't even drink water with ice.
Hey so there’s actually a new illness surfacing that I got recently. It started with a sore throat that was so minor I thought I was dehydrated. Then a few hours later I almost thought I had a manageable strep. Then an hour or two after that my throat swelled close and I had to go to the hospital. I’m not trying to scare you OP I’m just saying if you’re posting this because you are sick it is best to just see a doctor right away for an antibiotic incase you catch what I had or something similar. I am saving as many people as I can from the massive ER bill I had to pay
Everyone’s saying tea, but as someone who is currently sick and can’t drink water the same because my fucking throat is closed up, tea has the same problem as water. It’s too thin. Now don’t get me wrong, I’m still drinking water and tea but it doesn’t hit the same. We need something thicker.
So for me that’s orange juice, almond milk matcha lattes, and smoothies.

Teas is the way
Peppermint, ginger, etc
And honey
Hot water with lemon
And a teaspoon of honey
That just sounds like tea with extra steps

EXACTLY! FUCK THE HERBS! I EAT HERBS ON FOOD NOT IN MY REFRESHING DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE!
Less steps cause you didn't make tea.
Witches brew. Nice warm black tea, orange pieces, cinnamon pieces, nettle leaf, ginger root
Never done that, but don't forget some honey because I do know that honey in tea helps with sore throats

Herbal Tea with honey and lemon or warm water with honey and lemon Hydration finds a way.
Water mixed with the snot and mucous in your throat when you're sick is horrible.
It lowkey feels nice tho
sounds like strep. only time when i felt like drinking water was painful.
Hot water
Warm it up a bit. (Warm up cold water, don’t drink hot from the tap)
Hot water vs Sore throat Ofcourse water wins
